Lower has the beach, volleyball, concessions, bar on top, seats, restrooms, pier, lots of grass and grills but no pavilion. Parking for upper or lower is easy but both parking areas are separate. You cannot get to one through the other. You actually have to drive out of the park to other entrances to access each area. There is plenty of walking, running, biking, scooters, trails. And plenty of grass area in both to play soccer, baseball, football, frisbee, kites, almost anything. There is even a dog beach. Lots of things to do and to enjoy yourself outside. You cannot even bring a sandwich, chips and a drink or whatever and have a spontaneous picnic. The other fun thing to do is watch the air show from here. It's free and you see most of it. You even get buzzed by a plane or two. This is an enjoyable park. I wish it was closer to me. You cannot even bring even get a great pic of Cleveland and one of the Cleveland signs.

It's a large rectangle with (mostly) symmetrically pathways diagonal and across, but not through. It's all grass, and there are dozens of trees (and hundreds of squirrels), but aside from the children's playground in the southeast quadrant and the gazebo in the very center, there's not much variation. You can probably play a game of soccer/football/ultimate/kill the carrier in the northern part, where the trees are sparsest, but it isn't really a playing-sports park. No, Lincoln Park is more of a let's-visit-the-park kind of park. Maybe a poet's park? It's somewhere to walk and contemplate. I've done hours and hours of walking here, often in the snow, although I wish those hours had added up to at least days, if not weeks. One of my only regrets (of things under my control) from my year of living in Cleveland is that I didn't spend as much time in Tremont as I wanted to. The park really is lovely. It was way underutilized back then, but even though it was often nearly or totally empty, it didn't feel unloved. It's a proud old park in a proud old neighborhood of a proud old city. Whenever you're ready to enjoy it, it will be waiting silently for you. I really love it.

It is a very nice and well kept park in terms of cleanliness, but I will say the only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is because the homeless population is a bit overwhelming at times. I have physically seen people talking to themselves or digging through the trashcan at this park. I really wish there was some way the park or the police perhaps could assist these people who regularly attend the park. Other than those factors, it is very nice! I also enjoy the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays during the summer!

I was NOT impressed…read more Visiting here made me feel depressed, like I was in a slowly deteriorating city with political leaders who lacked the motivation to keep this historic city beautiful, like the real gem that it is. However, I have also had several opportunities to visit this city over these last thirty years and I have seen great improvements since that time. One of the small efforts to beautify this city came with the decision to add several "Cleveland" script signs at various locations around the city, like here in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. I have visited a few of the Cleveland script signs, and this one here in Tremont is my favorite so far. It is located in a beautiful little neighborhood, within an area that almost feels like a small park. Even though it's in a beautiful little neighborhood, it is close enough to the heart of the city to provide visitors with a breathtaking view of the Cleveland skyline, along with several beautifully constructed historic bridges within view. To add to how pleasant this location is, there are also railroad tracks nearby, where one can occasionally see a powerful train pass by. Still further, there is also a nicely constructed walkway through this area where folks can take a nice stroll while enjoying the view. The Cleveland script sign here in Tremont is easy to get to, located just south of the Cuyahoga River, with nearby exits from both directions of the Interstate 90 freeway. There is also a nice, clean and safe place to park within walking distance that is open daily, from 6am until 11pm. This parking area has several parking spots, most of which are under the I-90 overpass, and parking is free. If you happen to be visiting the Cleveland area, I would highly recommend that you stop by this location for a quick visit. It's a great place to take in a breathtaking view of this beautiful city, and of course, to snap that selfie of your visit to Cleveland.

I recently met a friend here for socially distanced yoga and forgot how much I liked it as a public space. It's quiet except for the gentle hum of the river and ambient traffic noise from the bridge above. But when you're used to a city environment, this feels peaceful. May bother a suburban dweller, though. In general, no one will bother you here. You can park in the small, free lot across the street and walk over. Most of the action in the immediate area will be the traffic coming in and out of the very closeby Merwin's Wharf restaurant run by the Metroparks. Don't expect a sprawling, manicured field here at Rivergate Park, but do accept sufficient green space if you need a peaceful place to hang out. We had fun.

The garden is part of the Cleveland Public Library and it is actually connected to it. It is named after Linda Eastman who was director of the library years ago (1918-1938). I finally visited in July 2023 with a friend. We both enjoyed walking around, taking photos, and admiring the beautiful windows of one of the adjoining buildings. The garden is surrounded by trees, a tall iron gate at both entrances, a very small waterfall, benches, and movable chairs with a tables placed all around the garden. When you step into the garden, you instantly feel a sense of happiness, serenity, and peace as you hear birds chirping and breath in fresh air. Hopefully you visit on a quiet day because there are always events around the city especially in the summer months. If I lived downtown, I would definitely come here often to read outside. I tried using my light jacket to cover over my head but I was still very hot. I could only manage 20 mins or so before I jetted off to find shade. There are some benches on both sides of the park (or "mall") with trees to provide some shade. The mall (park) is very well maintained with well cut grass. There are dust bins (trash cans) at the ends where some benches are located. I recommend visiting this park especially on a warm spring or summer day. Lots of pluses. First, there's a spacious parking lot which has direct footbridge access to the Villa Angela Beach (which has the Cleveland sign). Second, if you enjoy fishing, Wildwood Park has a couple of locations off the piers which are amenable to early morning or late afternoon fishing from the land. Third, it's not as crowded as other beaches in the metro area. One downside, however, is the limited areas where swimming is permitted. This is probably for safety reasons (to help the lifeguards). If you have younger children, however, this beach is a nice option. Overall, I would probably not go out of my way to visit this beach. But if you're staying on the northeast side of Cleveland, it's worth a stop.

If I lived here, I'd be here often.

A Monarch caterpillar was on a milkweed plant, and the milkweeds are everywhere. Love trees? Lots of oak trees and others line the paths. Redwing blackbirds were chirping. In the mornings and evenings I've was told you can see a lot of deer. A shelter is available for group events. There are a few picnic tables under the trees. More tables are needed. Large parking area. Handicapped accessible.

In practice, it is a bit rough with the traffic constantly and noisily whizzing by. Some plots were under construction when I stopped by, but more importantly, I was quite perplexed with the choice of cultures, which was heavily tilted towards Eastern Europe (are there a lot of Latvian and Azerbaijani immigrants to Cleveland?), but with other seemingly random countries occasionally making an appearance, such as Ethiopia and India. They have a Hebrew cultural garden with plaques of famous American Jews. Their Ukrainian section was dotted with extra accoutrements including blue and yellow stones by local schoolchildren, which didn't really strike me as being appropriate or helpful. The Ethiopian section was a surprising standout with its artistic display, while other sections focused on sculpture art or plaques. The amount of actual plant life native to the nominated region was in many cases minimal, but each plot was its own different endeavor. Walking the whole length of the path from the museum center to the waterfront was considerably longer than it appeared on the map, so I did only part of that.

I have driven past here so many times on my way to Case Western Reserve University law school, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and also the Natural History Museum. I got to finally explore these gardens (somewhat) when I met with a running group here on the Independence Day holiday (4 July 2019). I really have to come back to walk through the gardens because running past them didn't give me time to explore. GARDENS -- There are over 25 cultural gardens each for a particular country; for example, India or Ireland. The best way to see the gardens is by walking. You really have to get out of your car to explore the gardens further especially since some of them go deep inside along the trees. PARKING -- The gardens are situated on a very long Martin Luther King Drive street; hence, that's why there is no where to park. I suggest parking at the boat dock along Lake Erie and then walking through the gardens. I love the little lake here. Middle school we would ride our bikes there at 7-8am. Ride around there all day. Catching river roaches, toads, fishing, swimming. There was a rope we would swing off of into the murky, foamy water. What doesnt kill you.. and whatever else we conjured up to cause chaos that day. High school, it served a different purpose. Valley cruises whenever possible. Nowadays I just walk the trails and reminisce. In closing, I absolutely love this place and am very grateful we have this gorgeous slice of heaven in our backyards.

I love Public Square in downtown Cleveland. It is an open space where alot of people gather to eat their lunch during break time from work or simply just to walk by and admire the big water fountain that shoots water out from the ground. ACTIVITIES -- Ice Skating rink in the winter months, speaker series in the summer months, I think festivals too, etc. The Soldiers and Sailor Museum is right on Public Square too - you can look up my review of that museum on Yelp. The tall monument that you see sticking up on that small structure is the museum. It is small from the outside but it has a lot of history including an underground section to tour. ICE-RINK -- Join Downtown Cleveland's email list to get updates on Public Square and downtown activities. The update email from 8 January 2025 stated this: "Open on the weekends through Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 20th) the ice rink and magical lights at Public Square make the perfect destination for a friends and family outing.
