I have been struggling with my health over the last 6 months and decided to seek out a dietitian to…read morepossibly help with some nutrition. I did quite a search to find one that was supportive of a Vegan plant based diet and Kelly was the closest one I could find. I am located in Spring Lake and her office is in Lansing so you can imagine the commitment I was willing to make to drive there to get some help. My first visit with her felt rushed and overwhelming. I didn't learn anything new but ended up walking out of there buying some "food sensitivity" test that cost me over $700 and some worksheets on living gluten free. I was instructed to go get blood work done and then I would need to come back to get my test results. On my second visit we reviewed the food sensitivity test and made a plan to following a strict elimination diet. I was provided no meal plans or help in figuring out what to eat. She promised recipes, but what she gave me wasn't even meals and half the items in the recipes were not on my list of foods I could even eat. I was very frustrated and overwhelmed. She also did not send me any copies of my results and held on to them (probably to ensure she would get continued business) I had envisioned a dietitian would provide me with clear meal plans and tips, but I received nothing. So I started my elimination diet feeling on my own. I emailed her over the course of the first week asking a few questions on foods and received one line replies. At the end of the week on Friday I emailed her asking her for my food lists for the following week. (new week started Monday) She replied to my email with a one liner that stated she would not send me my food list prior to our phone call on Monday. I explained to her I do all my grocery shopping and batch cooking on the weekends and this is the ONLY way I can be successful with my nutrition during the busy week. She once again replied to my email saying she would not send me my food list early. So I ended up calling her. She didn't answer but I left a voicemail for her to call me back. That afternoon I received a phone call back from her. Her tone was extremely rude and said she was on vacation with her family and could not do a consult at that time. I had no idea she was on vacation as she had never said anything and didn't have an out of office message. She immediately jumped into severing our relationship if I wanted my food list early. I hadn't even gone there and wanted to continue working with her. I ended up cancelling our Monday meeting and demanded she send me my full list of Test Results. If she was here to truly support me I wouldn't think it would be difficult to deliver these foods early or to even send me my full test results. After all of this I looked further into the food sensitivity testing she ordered, The commission of dietetic registration discontinued support of this test in 2015. So she's selling a $700 test that is not backed by science. https://www.cdrnet.org/leap-mrt-faq She is not here to help people, has no idea how to guide someone on a vegan diet, and is solely in it for an income. Beware.

I highly recommend Dr Jason and his staff…read more I came to his office from a place that I was desperately grasping for straws on how to get relief from the feeling of not being just right, and not sure what to do or where to go to get the help I needed. I knew I didn't want medicine to cover up the problem but to actually discover what was the root causes of them. I really liked the homeopathic/ naturopathic/ holistic approach to medicine.  I was consulting with one that was out of state and very hard to get in touch with. So I started my search on Google. I had a free consultation with Dr Jason and decided to give him a try. We discovered several things happening in my body that he worked out a plan for my health journey coaching me consistently throughout. Diet and supplements that I taking actually weren't helping but making me sick. Digestive issues and many food sensitivities. A change of diets, actually several changes to what I was eating, a change of lifestyle, a change of mindset... daily exercise Most importantly you have to want to change to actually change. I wanted to change! I saw results and still see them. Others actually do as well! After I started my journey with Dr Jason and his super caring friendly staff,  I decided to see if my 5 year old grandson would be a good candidate to get help. Yes, Dr Jason works with children! My grandson was more than I could handle. He would get violent! Throwing what ever he could get his hands on at every one. He would scratch and even try to bite you. I'm happy to say those violent things do not happen to the degree they did!  He does still have his moments. But not as frequent. Some was caused by gluten and sugar. He would be classified by professionals and put on drugs - ADHD, ODD, PANS and PANDA,  and other disorders. His whole diet has improved from what he was eating to much healthier foods. It took a while because he was so used to eating certain foods but I for the most part found good substitutes. His first visit to the Dr Jason's office was a wild and wooly experience. He was here there and every where's. So we would remotely test him to see what his body needed. His next in person visit was much more pleasant for all! Through out mine and his treatments, I was able to communicate by text during office hours with Dr Jason and his staff. I highly recommend Dr Jason and his staff!

(No, it does not.) My next clue should have been that even though the radiologists always deemed my test results as normal, she always wanted more tests and encouraged me to cancel my appointment with my gastroenterologist, who agreed with the radiologists. She talked me into having a procedure, which I was very nervous about, but my fears were dismissed and ignored. Right before my procedure--being rolled wide awake into a tiny operating room crammed with instruments and tons of students--I decided I there was no way I could go through with it, but they conked me out and did it anyway! Despite saying, "I can't do this, I can't do this, I need to get out of here" over and over, they did it anyway. When I woke up, I felt completely violated. I called the hospital and made complaints, but got a form letter back saying that my procedure had been "adequately explained" and that I had signed a consent form. Consent is always revocable, people!
