He trusted him to represent him and fight for him to the best of his ability to prove his innocence. During our experience he was very belittling, rude, insulting, lied and communicated in an unpleasant way to us. He withheld information that was detrimental to his freedom. His rights were waved without his knowledge. As his client he wasn't working for him but against him with the prosecutor. As a black man, he trusted another man to fight for him so that he can maintain his freedom and be there for his family. He manipulated him and made him believe the deal he presented was the only option and there would not be a better one. After researching his case we found out that he lied. He could no longer be represented by a lawyer that pretended to represent him. The judge removed him from the case so that he could have another lawyer represent him that would actually help us. My husband Aaron wants others to know about his experience and hopes no one feels the way he felt when being represented by Loren Dickstein.

I found myself facing a career ending situation due to an OWVI ticket…read more This by far was the most stressful time in my life, not knowing what to do realizing my life as I knew it was over. After speaking to several attorneys my initial impression of my life became even more bleak. I sought out referrals from many different sources, Mr. Seikaly name became synonymous with the phrase "Best Attorney in the Sate of Michigan". I contacted Mr. Seikaly, during our lengthy phone conversation I found his professionalism to be impeccable his knowledge of the legal process and laws governing my alleged offense very sophisticated compared to the others I had discussed my situation with. Mr. Seikaly also made me feel extremely comfortable with my situation reassuring me that my life was not over, i was not convicted of anything and through the legal process I may very well be vindicated. I retained Mr. Seikaly and let the process begin. At every step of the process Mr. Seiklay communicated to me exactly what would take place how and why the law pertained to this portion of the process with an in depth knowledge I simply was fascinated by. I also was very impressed with the admiration his piers showed towards him and the distinct respect shown him by the Judges. At every motion Mr. Seiklay presented a fierce defense not only against several factors of the charge and how it came to be but also the law itself, he won every motion! After a lengthy process Mr. Seikaly skillfully negotiated a deal with the prosecution that not only I felt fair I felt elated about! I was vindicated by Mr. Seikaly's hard work and decades of experience. I would also like to point out Mr. Seikaly was a fantastic counselor during this endeavor, may times spending as much time needed to help me cope with and comprehend what was taking place, I had felt very rushed by the other attorneys I had met with, some even watching their watches only to rush me out the door. I would absolutely unequivocally recommend Mr. Christopher Seikaly to anyone finding themselves in any legal situation. I would also advise you adhere to his every suggestion, If you follow his direction you to will be as happy as I.

This firm needs to be closed down or investigated. Apparently there is only one number to reach your attorney and that is always through the receptionist. They don't have any personal contacts or personal emails that you can reach out to. If Joseph is still around, I would advise him to supervise everyone due to the reputation that has been perceived. My message to Joe will be to hire a whole new staff due to lack of urgency I feel like my case has not been taken. Seriously. I feel like a neglected client that has had no comfort throughout the whole experience. My only wish is for this to be over and done with .

My experience with THE LOBB LAW FIRM…read more Id give them zero stars if I could. I was referred to The Lobb Firm by another attorney, so I did not do any research before signing their contract. THAT WAS MY MISTAKE. However, now knowing what I know about this office, I certainly can NOT recommend them to anyone (specifically Daniel Groves) . Mr Lobb and Cheryl Lobb were quite nice and seemed skilled in the legal arena, so I agreed to hire them. Cheryl informed me that they have skilled attorneys in their office and that all of them were qualified to handle my case. After being passed around a couple times, I was eventually assigned long term to Daniel Groves. Initially Mr. Groves was pleasant and professional enough, but as the months of legal process went on, words cannot express my building frustration with this man (and half of his staff.) The more I asked for answers and explanations, the more indignant he became with me. He and I had multiple discussions about my concerns with how my case was being handled to no avail. Then, about one week before our court date, he ended up quitting my case. YES!, he actually dropped my case a week before our court date. (AND also note: THEY STILL GET PAID if you win, EVEN IF THEY QUIT/DROP YOUR CASE! ) I believe he quit because he didn't want to (or did not know how to) justify the expected outcome of my case. Mr Groves made it clear that he didn't like that I was asking questions about the process and/or his work. He called this " micro managing". However, I called it looking after my own interest. In addition, After he gave notice of quitting, but before the judge actually released him from the case, we still both had to go to court in a client/lawyer relationship. At that time, he was rude to me in the court room and also in the court house lobby. I was shocked any attorney would behave this way. Note: My concerns about Mr Grove were also addressed to Cheryl Lobb and Mr. Lobb, "during" the course of my legal process. However, the concerns were not resolved at those intervals. Unfortunately, because these legal matters involve multiple years, I felt I was too far along in the process to try to leave the Lobb firm and find a new lawyer. Therefore, I felt I had to finish what I started with them. BOTTOM LINE: I am done with them now, and I believe my cases were poorly handle. Because of my personal experience with this office, I can NOT offer any recommendation to use their services. Reminder: If you are considering hiring a lawyer (or any service provider), do your research and checks references BEFORE you sign a contract with anyone. Don't get stuck, like I did.

I hired J Dallo, sold on his court "relationships" for a steep fee, expecting a fierce defense. Instead, I got a sham. I tracked down evidence myself while he sidestepped my urgent requests for body cam footage--proof of the officers' aggression and my calm restraint. He missed case law that proves under the law that stiffening isn't resisting, a fact A DIFFERENT attorney later flagged as a game-changer. Multiple in person meetings revealed his stunning unpreparedness; he barely knew my case. Seemed as if he never even looked at the police report/evidence. Then came his plea pitches: first a misdemeanor trade, then infractions with sneaky "criminal activity" wording I never agreed to. He pressured me to cave, boasting of his judge "friend," but it felt like he was working their side, not mine. The evidence screamed my innocence, yet he folded for a quick paycheck. Dallo's charm masks a hollow hustle--polite, pricey, and utterly ineffective. DON'T gamble your case on him. --Sammy

I feel compelled to share my outrage after dealing with this lawyer, as my experience was nothing…read moreshort of a disaster. This is my first negative review, and it's long overdue. This attorney is utterly incompetent and unprofessional, and it's infuriating how he operates without any sense of responsibility. From the very beginning, I expressed the complexity of my case and emphasized my need for strong representation as a newcomer to Michigan. Instead of providing the support I required, I was misled with false promises about reducing my OWI charge. What I got was a complete lack of effort and a shocking disregard for my situation. Throughout the entire process, communication was almost non-existent. I often found myself calling multiple times just to get a response. It felt like he was only interested in my money, showing no genuine concern for my case. At my arraignment, he showed up completely unprepared--wearing AirPods and distracted by a video call for another case! He didn't even bring my files, which was embarrassing and infuriating. At the day of my sentencing, I pointed out certain errors made in the police report, and his reaction goes to show me that he never reviewed the police report, nor did he review any recordings from the body cam. I basically just paid this guy to take a guilty plea and let the court deal with me. I basically gave this guy free money, and he charged me $5,500 for this case Despite my best efforts to comply with all requirements--attending AA meetings, maintaining an alcohol tether, and passing drug tests--he failed to present any of this during sentencing. He didn't advocate for me at all, leaving me feeling abandoned and betrayed. It was as if he didn't even bother to fight for my future. His argument wasn't strong at all, and it quite seemed like he was in cahoots with the court instead of fighting for me. In hindsight, I wish I had fired him and opted for a court-appointed lawyer instead. I likely would have received the same outcome without the exorbitant fees. This lawyer took my money and did absolutely nothing in return. If you value your case and want a lawyer who actually cares, do NOT hire this attorney. He lacks the skills, integrity, and professionalism necessary to represent clients effectively. I hope my review helps others avoid the same dreadful experience.
