Wes and Chad were very attentive during arrangements for my son's funeral. For that I appreciate…read morethis. However, I have been waiting for a refund for a charge Chad said would be returned once he received it. I was told it could take up to 3 months. Numerous attempts to reach Chad came with responses" A cheque is in the mail, my phone didn't work so I couldn't call or text, etc". For this reason the after service is not there. It does not take 8 days for a cheque to arrive in Winnipeg mail when I got a card from Ontario posted 2 days after Wheelers accountant emailed me finally to advise my cheque was in the mail 2 days prior to the card. I am Very distraught and upset. Chad will not answer my calls and has had the money since September.

Finding a good funeral home in Winnipeg is a daunting task and when I needed one this year I…read morecouldn't find a single online review anywhere so here is one: For the person seeking a professional, respectful and straightforward approach to the death industry, look no further than Wheeler. Chad took care of my family from the first consultation to the very last moment, and we felt cared for and respected every step of the way. Chad's matter-of-fact approach engenders trust while never feeling disrespectful. Since this company owns their own crematory and cemetery, they can accommodate specific requests including witnessed cremation, green burial, or traditional funeral and burial. If you choose to use their cemetery it is on a peaceful, beautiful and rustic property just outside of the city that features a pond, lovely trees, birds and wildlife. It is important to know what you want when you walk in because this business is not here to "sell" you on any bells and whistles so you will need to ask if there is a specific thing that you would like to have. We were very happy with the available options. Pricing was extremely fair with no hidden charges or surprises. Thank you again, Chad and the Wheeler family for taking such good care of us during such a difficult time. Your work matters!

Anyone that deals with Matt at Delandes on Main Street needs to be alerted that - this is for…read moremonuments that are constructed using a self-plan for constructing the monument should NOT use Delandes 1) Matt will not be transparent and provide plans as discussed until the deposit is paid for which is NOT refundable-SO if you don't like the plan you suck it up; 2) Any Plans are not given to purchaser until the deposit is paid for; 3) Matt just does his own thing and a) we asked for two quotes for the two "PHASES" we were going to do but he only provided a scant quote on the total project-NO DETAIL NO TRANSPARENCY and stated would provide such upon payment; 4) Only $500.00 would be accepted on credit card and rest $1500.00 in cash-NO CASH discount was offered. We wanted to pay totally with credit card as CASH costs us money where interest is an expense that Delandes can write off. Matt wouldn't provide any detail until we paid the deposit that is NON-Refundable. All of this we found out via e-mail and not at the hour long meeting that we had with him two days before. So take the customers money and you can do what you please should be Delandes slogan. August 15 2025 Douglas Kuny Matt Delandes in his response to my review makes many assertions directed at my credibility. Big Mistake. I have included the e-mails which were exchanged between us to collaborates the basis of my review with facts. Cliff Notes: 1) M.D. asserts that cash was not stated in his e-mail; but what not is a cheque or e-transfer if not cash (mean the same) and 2) M.D either is lacking in business sense or is just trying to give the reader the "run -around" as MOST if not ALL businesses accept credit cards for the full amount in most cases e.g. Gauthier Buick accepted on my credit card $5,000.00 as a deposit just recently and I have utilized my credit card in most of my transactions PLUS I have a B.A. (Economics) and B. Comm and I can tell you that M.D. is trying to fabricate facts as he is correct in that credit cards cost him money BUT is untruthful when he states that any costs associated with them cannot be written off as an expense. Everything to do with business usage can be written off and is a cost of doing business and something utilized by businesses to be competitive with their competitors. ALSO, we were in M.D. office for over an hour were nothing was stated by him about payment options. Again who is the business that has been in place since about 1938. Also we didn't ask because we were waiting for a quote of Phase 1 of our project. M.D. "put his foot in his mouth" in his response to review as what he states is the quote given IS NOT what is stated in the attached e-mails. The e-mail can be deduced that the amount (quote) is for the whole project but again a proper quote (transparency) would be CLEAR. E-mails Friday 15, 2025 Myself to Matt Thank You for your ridiculous response towards good business transparency. I will definitely upon my REVIEW convey TO ALL how ridiculous it would be to deal with Delandes 1) providing a deposit which is non-refundable without getting an exact idea what you are paying for; 2) holding on to "plan" diagrams, etc. Until the deposit is made (how does anyone know that they are actually getting/paying for); 3) you convey you would provide two quotes -one for Phase 1 and one for the crypt and then just provided one and stated that the first "phase" of the project would be provided upon payment (which again is non-refundable). There are many places that deal in selling monuments and I am sure that I will have NO problem in finding a reputable firm-Also I will be making known how ridiculous your terms are TO ALL. By the way you are mistaken about companies that are custom cabinet fabricators for kitchens. We had our kitchen done and diagrams and total transparency were given to us before we made the agreement and paid the deposit which was ALL done by credit card. WE new what was going to be done and how it was going to be done and what materials (quality) would be provide along with an estimate date of installment. You were a waste of time and space and we END any relationship with YOU and Delandes. Good Morning Matt Thank You for the overview of our meeting on Wednesday. I couple of concerns: 1) First you stated to us that there would be two quotes-one for the Phase 1 as we called it -the foundation and base part with install; and second quote for the whole project.
