Dealing with this flight school has been the absolute worst experience of my life. I wanted to learn to fly, but I now wish I never stepped foot at this place. I began in March 2020 and notified them in July 2021 I was withdrawing from school and need my loan refunded. it's now been close to 18 months and I have received only 2 partial refunds during that time that have still not added up to my total amount. I have a signed contract with the company stating this would all occur within a month. The CEO, who lives in Singapore, lies and lies and lies and lies to me in every email that he's "gracious" enough to reply to. It typically takes anywhere from 3-5 emails for him to reply to one. How any company puts the CEO in charge of refunds is incredible. Please review the Better Business Bureau website, before you choose to do business with these crooks. There are numerous other examples of people waiting extensively on refunds. They have said they will cover all the interest that has accrued on my loan since I notified them almost 18 months ago, but I have my doubts. Better to save your time, and immediately send them a letter from a lawyer. read more

Mr. Scott Hanson and Chantal Medina, are so quick to take your money but if you try to get a refund. they are nowhere to be found. Do not waste you Money and time here, go somewhere else. Recently just got my PPL from this location. I have nothing but good things to say about this flight school. I have been to several others in the area but AAA takes the cake. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable and the aircraft are all very well maintained by the onsite mechanics. They take safety very seriously which is always a good thing. I earned my Private Pilot's License at VT-AAA in New Braunfels and am currently using my G.I. Bill benefits to get my instrument rating. All the instructors and support/administrative staff I've dealt with since I began training have been absolutely wonderful. Everybody seems to genuinely care about your progress and wants to see you succeed. But the real stars of the show are the maintenance team. I've been around general aviation for quite a while, and I've never seen a fleet that is so well taken care of. I've never had a lesson canceled due to maintenance issues, and more importantly, I really feel safe flying these planes knowing these guys are taking care of them. Plus, the maintenance technicians themselves are just great people and always make time to explain aircraft systems to curious students. These guys are the number one reason I intend to continue training at this school. All told, VT-AAA creates a training environment that's fun, rewarding, and safe. I highly recommend anyone in the New Braunfels/San Antonio area who is interested in earning a pilot's license give them a call. read more
