A full bar and decent selection of sweet and savoury snacks. I love a glass of wine with my film so this place gets a huge thumbs up from me on that alone. This is a much older cinema and as such it is far cheaper than the Vue in Westfeilds. The positives include cheap ticket prices especially for students, a bar for drinks for the movie, and friendly staff. However, the negatives include cramped seats and old cinema. I was particularly uncomfortable during my last visit as the seats are quite cramped. I have short legs at 5.5' so my husband whose much taller than me was super cramped!! This is a massive draw back for movies as you have to sit for a few hours! However, I'm always a fan of Picture House cinemas as they have a more art-house less corporate feel compared to other main stream cinemas. For Stratford, this remains a very good option. Also one final note, it is often cheaper to buy a membership than the tickets. I've now ended up with a membership twice in a row as buying the annual membership is the cheapest option. With a membership you get two free tickets, two pounds off every ticket, and 20% off of drinks. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!

First the good things - this counts as outer london so the cheaper rate on an unlimited card kicks in, plus there is generally decent legroom in all the seats. The bad... It's on the top floor - and there's no single lift from the ground level. So you need to take two lifts (one of them hidden as it faces Wagamamas) or four escalators. Crazy right?! This is a new build, I hope they didn't pay the architects a great deal for that stroke of genius. It also loses points for the number Bollywood films it shows. They're just my cup of tea, and it's been more than once that we've had to go to a different Cineworld because they didn't show a Hollywood film during release week or at such a rubbish frequency that the times were all pants. With loads of show times, it's hard to not be satisfied with their offerings. Tickets are fairly cheap at 6GBP for a student and 8GBP for an adult, even during peak times. They have a special Tuesday offer for 4 GBP. It's really great how this cinema has helped improve Walthamstow. The area that it is located was previously quite sketchy, but quite a lot of money has been invested into that specific area. The cinema is just one of the new, and very welcomed, additions. Next to the cinema is a Pizza Express, Turtle Bay, and Yum Yum Thai food. Apart from the great selection already in Walthamstow, these bigger names has really enhanced the area! The location is super convenient as the cinema is only a few minute walk from Walthamstow Central station. Walthamstow also has loads of buses and often serves as an easy meeting point for my friends and I. This is probably one of the better cinemas in the area and I highly recommend it!

The last time, I said where I wanted to sit, was given totally inappropriate seat. The queue for pensioners free coffee is long, cups not very safe to carry around. Many of the seats mean that as there is no exit at the back, if you need to go out ( to the loo etc.) you have to walk in front of the screen and audience. And the seats: instead of an arm to rest on, there is a huge hole, presumably for huge , obesity inducing food/drink.

As a disabled person I found that not only was there an elevator to take you up to the theater level, there was also a wheel chair lift to to help you get to the coffee store on the top level. There is also a wheel chair ramp to get you from the sidewalk into the theater (which most theaters don't have in this city). The staff are extremely helpful, and they are not pushy...as in trying to make you buy their membership. This was one of the first movie theaters to open in the UK. The building has remained (pretty much) unchanged since the 1930's...so it's really retro (yay!).

The screening room is huge and very charming, as old buildings tend to be. Very glad this place is a short walk from my place. Especially when those popcorn cravings kick in.

At £5 it's considerably cheaper than most other cinemas in town, but I found my seat comfy and the picture sharp. The sound wasn't as deafeningly loud as others cinemas, a boon to me. The tales of poorly behaved patrons are entirely believable, and I think the key to minimizing this risk is to choose a fairly adult film.

Atrocious!!!! Disgraceful! Total disregard for a Disabled Customer!…read moreLast week Saturday the 11th of February at 4pm, I got to this brand cinema I had heard so much about. As soon as I rolled up to the disabled access entrance, I noticed it was cornered off from the inside (the doors are made of glass). With a look of confusion, I sent my two able-bodied buddies to walk in and ask someone how I could get in. The lady at the front desk (didn't see her name tag but she had black hair) didn't bother coming out to talk to me at all or addressing me in any way!!! I was invisible to her! She did not look at all apologetic and promptly told (not explain) my friends - the ramp is broken. There was no engineer being called to fix it, there was no alternative way of my wheelchair getting in, there was no apology or look of embarrassment for disregarding the disabled access regulations to their establishment. The lady actually asked my friends if I could get up and walk down the stairs, leaving my wheelchair at the foyer. I was appalled! Firstly, if I could walk mate, would not be sitting in a wheelchair. Secondly, there was no way I was going to leave such an expensive piece of equipment (electric wheelchairs ain't cheap). We shook our heads, told them that it was absolutely unacceptable and got in a taxi to Picturehouse Central at Piccadilly Circus. Shame on you Curzon Mayfair . Fix your ramp and pay attention to disabled customers. We are not less than or invisible. Ensure you are in line with disabled access regulations for commercial establishments in effect since the 2010 Disability Act (I have read every page). You have been put on notice SHAME!
