Vystar overall, not just a branch has declined significantly, all while lying to it's members about remembering that it is OUR money. Leadership began to think of growth at the cost of it's members by letting just anyone become a member, by increasing fees to members to meet it own goals, and forgetting that it was founded to serve the members in our best interest, not the leadership. It used to pay a pitiful amount of interest on deposit account and has even removed that 6 months ago and added and increased every fee they could. Shame on all of them. They should have kept the membership limited to those who served our country, should have worked to eliminate or reduce fees, and should have increased the interest to members regular saving and checking accounts. read more

This is the absolute worst garbage of a bank system ever known by man. This location is especially bad. Not only do they have 0 knowledge of what's going on with their system 90% of the time, their ATMs eat your money and cards, they might "credit" you the money back when you spend hours on the phone and in person but make sure to check your transactions within a few days because it's likely they already took the money back out. Something really weird going on with this bank. Wouldn't recommend to the worst enemy to deal with this organization. I wish I could put 0 stars read more

Disgusting treatment of 10+ year members! I've been a member of vystar for 10+ years, and my wife has been a member for about 5 years. She literally just obtained her citizenship today (1/17/25) and we went to the Clerk of Courts just a few blocks down the road from this vystar right there on Atlantic Blvd. in order to obtain her new U.S. passport. Unfortunately, the U.S. government required either a money order or cashier's check in order to process her U.S. passport, whereby we decided to stop right up the road at this vystar on Atlantic. What a HUGE mistake. Again, my wife and I have been members for 5 and 10+ years, respectively, and we each have significant amounts of money in our accounts. Despite this, vystar charged my wife $3 for the $130 money order for some reason. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the charge until after we left vystar and had returned to the Clerk of Courts. I was incredulous, thinking that perhaps this was simply an error that the vystar employee had overlooked as we NEVER ask for money orders and the fee should have been waived as a one-time exception. So I returned to the same location approximately 45 minutes later, only to be told that "Western Union" was charging the credit union now, so there was "nothing they could do". I asked to speak with a manager and was instructed to wait in the customer area; however, after several minutes it seemed very clear that no one was going to help anytime soon. At this point I walked over to one of the enclosed glass offices where a lady was sitting (presumably a manager) with a customer at her desk. The door was wide open, so I cautiously approached and gently knocked on the door frame, politely asking her to please excuse the interruption. What happened next was disgusting and wholly inexcusable. I asked the lady (and I do use that term very loosely in her case) sitting behind the desk if she was a manager. She answered "yes". I then politely explained that my wife and I were members for a combined 15 years and that we had significant assets with vystar, and yet we were just charged $3 for a money order. Before I could even finish speaking, however, the "lady" (manager) behind the desk rudely interrupted and said "I'm with a customer." Anyone could obviously see that, but if her "meeting" was so crucial, why did she leave her door WIDE OPEN? More importantly, I wasn't there nor was I intending to be there to take up 20+ minutes of her time. I was simply explaining the situation succinctly so that she could have someone take corrective action and refund our $3. At a minimum, this "manager" could have listened for 20 - 30 seconds, acknowledged the member's concern, and assured the member that the situation would be taken care of. But she didn't. Instead, she was rude, unprofessional, and demeaning. Having worked in customer service (call centers) for more than six years, sales for more than 14 years, and owning and managing my own rental properties for 20+ years, I could never have imagined a more disrespectful or unprofessional response. But it got worse. This "lady" further told me "It doesn't matter" when I continued and explained to her how long my wife and I had been with vystar and that we had significant assets with the credit union. She even proceeded to try to talk over me (instead of simply listening for 20 - 30 seconds and acknowledging the situation), got up from her desk, walked up to where I was standing, and CLOSED THE DOOR IN MY FACE WHILE I WAS STILL SPEAKING. All of this was captured on camera (I know the credit unions all maintain security cameras as well as recorded footage) at approximately 1:40 pm EST on Friday, 1/17/25 and can be verified by anyone with access. At no time did I yell at, threaten, or demean this "lady", yet her behavior was absolutely reprehensible. In short, I wouldn't recommend vystar to my worst enemy. This is a financial institution that has clearly lost sight of the most important aspect of any business: the customer. read more

Very disappointed in Vystar. I was in process of purchasing a new boat. Was quoted a rate on their pre approved loan process. I was told that I would receive a .25% discount on my rate if I have a direct deposit at VyStar. I set this up, purchased the boat then was told that the .25% discount was only available when purchasing a car. Unfortunately I didn't get the discount offer in writing. After their online fiasco and this I will be leaving VyStar and not going back. read more

I wish i could rate this 0 stars but sadly that's not a option. This place needs some serious training with people who actually care about customers. I have had 2 serious issues with this bank. One of the first MAJOR issues i had was i used the drive through teller to deposit a check and to withdraw cash. Pretty simple for a ATM but i guess not a person. After I had spoken with the drive through teller and put my check and and got my cash i was just about to drive away until I realized i was missing my ID and was short some money. Then I see a customer from the parking lot running up to me saying "I have your stuff sir!" And handed me my ID and was told he received the wrong stuff and was also missing cash. Thankfully the man was nice enough To return my ID with all of my personal info on it back to me. The second MAJOR issue was once again I had used the drive through teller to deposit a check into my account. After i leave i notice on my bank app that i have nothing in my account and nothing pending. So i give it a few hours before i call and when i finally get on the phone I am told there is nothing in my account and basically the money is not there and gone. Never got a call back so I had to go into the bank. Once I talk to the teller inside the bank I was informed that my check was deposited into another Lady's account and I ended up having that Lady's receipt in my hands. They told me this happens a lot which is not a good thing and probably shouldn't be shared with customers. They said they noticed something was wrong but never once contacted me about it!? The other Lady called also to complain and she was told nothing. This issue to the teller didn't seem like a problem and was brushed off which to me is not ok, money is very serious especially for people who work very hard to earn that. Finally after days and spending almost a hour inside the bank I finally got MY money back and hopefully the other Lady got her issues resolved too. I hope no one ever has to experience this ridiculous situation. We are supposed to trust banks with our money but not this one switching banks soon!! read more
