Vystar is the worse!!!!! They break the law to harass you!! Last year after having a loan for less than a year with Vystar hurricane Helena came through and a tree totaled my car. Vystar was immediately notified and they gave me no guidance or help with how to go about filling for GAP coverage. Before GAP or insurance kicked in I had to buy a new car. I was juggling two car payments with no help or compassion from Vystar. Eventually Gap and insurance kicked in but my dealership messed up with giving me a refund for my warranty that was suppose to go back to Vystar after several months I finally got the check. After paying off all my debts, a few weeks passed and they started harassing me AGAIN. They'd call my parents (who weren't on the loan nor a point of contact) they even called my job, I have asked multiple times and spoken in person requesting not to call my work place, still they break the law and harassed me at work. Two weeks ago o told them I would make payments every other week for the next few months till it's paid off, STILL they are calling me asking for me to "pay off debts" TODAY was the first day someone from the company informed me they actually have programs in place to help people with loans if a natural disaster happens. If you're looking to open an account with VyStar Credit union - don't waste your time. Awhile back I was looking to re-finance my vehicle; around the time that I was still in the process of my divorce. I was the main person, and my ex was secondary, mostly cause we were married and it was just easier at the time. Received a list of different places to refinance from friends, which I'm very thankful for, but trying and getting denied with other places, I ended up trying VyStar as one of my last options... I go to VyStar in Orange City with every ounce of paperwork I would probably need - Divorce papers, title, income, you name it, I had it. Sitting in the office they were thankfully able to approve me and I literally broke down in tears of joy. They said I just needed to get some extra tax return documents and I could come back within a few days since I had to get it from my lawyer. I then get a phone call and an email that said all of a sudden they can no longer approve me and they didn't have any reasoning why.... I even begged to the point where my mom or dad could cosign with it and they still were denying me, with no actual reasoning why. We figured maybe cause it was cause they tried to cosign over the phone, so they offered to drive down from out of state...still no. We all went as far to make accounts, put money in said accounts to become members... So not only did I get the runaround from this company, but they approved me and then randomly denied me and stop responding to any form of communication....Weeks later they said it was because there was a vehicle in my name up for repo... Why they couldn't tell me that at the time was beyond me, but they knew and still gave me the run around even after I showed legal documentation that the vehicle was in my ex's procession and the other was in mine and my payment history was amazing AT THE TIME OF SIGN UP FOR THE LOAN. My husband and I have been using Vystar since we were married nearly 16 years ago; although, I think it was a different name back then. Too many years ago for me to remember now. LOL Obviously we really like our bank or we would have changed. We love Vystar. When we lived in Orlando a decade ago and Vystar was only in Jacksonville, it's still the only bank we used. Even back then they made it so easy to scan a check in to make a deposit. Now, we just use our iPhone or iPad. But now, it's very rare a check needs to be deposited. Who writes checks anymore? LOL I am just thrilled that Vystar has now ventured into Central Florida and that this branch exists because sometimes you really do just need to go into a branch and sit down and talk with someone. It's rare, but it happens. I was shocked when we pulled up though because this branch is tiny compared to all the branches in Jacksonville. I guess it's because the popular here in the Debary/Sanford area is not nearly what the population is in Jax. Doesn't matter the size though, it still works! It's actually better because my husband needed to use the ATM to make a cash deposit and he was able to park and walk right up to it without having to wait in a line. Smaller populations can be a good thing. If you're contemplating using Vystar for anything, don't hesitate. They truly are a great bank/credit union. read more

After meeting with Brandi Kent, a Relationship Specialist at this branch, we knew this was the bank for us. Brandi was excellent from beginning to end. She made us feel welcomed, valued, and excited to be a part of VyStar. We are particularly happy with the array of member perks and services available to us. This is a brand new, lovely Vystar Credit Union. After a major GPS snafu, I was so relieved to find it and discover friendly faces inside. This is situated very differently than any other Vystar I've seen. Instead of teller counters, they have free standing desks and computer consoles, with money dispensed through pneumatic tubes from the back. Even the police officer on duty had her own little high top station. I guess I looked surprised when I entered and a young lady came right up to me to ask if I needed assistance. She was able to assist me, along with her manager when it was needed, and everything was done smoothly. They also have a coin counter machine inside for customers. I sure wish this one was closer to home, but Vystar is a growing credit union and will eventually be expanding farther south. Until then, it's good to know this one is here. read more

Not a fan of some of the staff members. Every time I come through the drive thru to deposit money and if I request any form of coins they seem exasperated. When I first opened the bank the agent put the wrong information on my starter checks while I awaited for my checks to be delivered I ended up paying a return fee to my landlord over it. Multiple issues but I don't feel like changing banks because the headache that comes along with it. I love the bank but some of the staff are not personable by any means. read more

Soooo yea....I gotta tell you I love VyStar Credit Union. The Orange City location is the second branch that I've been to where they treated me like royalty. This place is unbelievable. The staff is great and I actually spoke with the branch VP and you talk about someone knowing their stuff. She was very knowledgeable. That whole branch is awesome! read more

Vystar Credit Union in Deland Florida has promotions on certificate of deposit with good interest rates, they are very helpful, they have a wonderful service of a coin counting machine, and they have chairs with back on them that you can pull up to the workstation so a disabled or senior person can sit down for assistance. It was a nice visit today at the Deland branch. read more

Could do Better...!!! I like the Vystar's interior interior but that is not all what makes a bank preferred place to conduct transactions. When it comes to matters like a simple wire transfer, Amy Adair, assistant mgr of the Orange City branch - she certainly can really mess it up. She has done two for me. The first, she took its time to learn it and it went thru OK but when on 8/16 I came back to do another wire transfer, it became a catastrophic event. She did not welcome me warmly, she got annoyed at me for interrupting her 'chat' with the girls; then she said 'she did not recognized me' so when I showed her proof that she had done one before for me, and I showed her a copy of the first wire transfer she did for me and her business card clipped to it, she became speechless. That is not all. She proceeded to bunched up the wire transfer so as to not reach its target destination -- I called numerous times (this office DOES NOT PICK UP THE PHONE TO ANSWER CALLS) so I had to use other method of communication like sending her an email which was returned to me marked BLOCKED; I sent a fax - no answer. In desperation, I called JAX 800 number to connect me with her and find out the whereabouts of my money. Finally, she called me and her question to me was: 'what do you want me to do now?' My reply was: I want you to do your job properly, investigate and solve the problem !! I am sending a complaint letter to Vystar Corporate in Jacksonville to have her re-trained in banking professional manner and wire transfers and correct her attitude towards customers, or whatever she needs to become a truly knowledgeable bank professional.. read more
