A vast, amazing, variety of Roses with helpful advice on choosing a perfectly named rose for that Special Occasion. The Clematis section is always good, too. Nursery staff are real experts and will spend time explaining & advising. I am always spoilt for choice here. All this in a lovely setting that you just can't help wandering around, there are hidden treasures at every turn. Watch out for the Elephant !!! Shame it is closed on Sundays. They have enlarged the Car park so there is plenty of space now.

When the food arrived my Son, who is far from greedy said there was not a lot of food, when I looked at the bowl of chips there was barely a third in it with some cheese thrown on carelessly. We waited a minute for the drinks to follow and when they didn't I went back in to enquire as to where they were. It was then I noticed the young blond girl who had served us now sitting at one of the tables on her lunch break with an overflowing bowl of chips! No guessing why my Son was left with scraps then! We won't return.

On our last 2 visits we have been served by the same woman who is so rude that it's actually funny. She even has a sign by her till to warn customers not to abuse the staff ! You don't see that ofter but understand why now. If we do back, i"ll wait to be served by the other cashier. Who knew Basil Fawlty had a sister !?

With the proximity of the nationally well known Heron's Bonsai nursery; a broad spectrum of dwarf conifers are stocked with an emphasis on Pines, Spruces and Ginkgos to tempt customers looking to try their hand at creating Bonsai trees. On a more general theme, a wide range of perennials, Japanese Acers, shrubs - both rare and common, are produced. The nursery also stocks a selection of terracotta and glazed pots from very large sizes, the modern cylinders and cubes, to the more economically priced pots from 99pence each. Visitors can look around the display gardens which stock a number of the 50+ Heucheras grown at the nursery while some of the 100+ varieties of Hosta are also on show. The collection of 30+ wisterias come into flower in the wisteria orchard in April and May.

This is another Centre I visit on occasions. This time the café for lunch. Not a very varied meal ,…read morea small menu, but hey, it is only a small café not a full blown gourmets place, the meal was not hot by any means, however it did not burn my tongue, or make steam come out of my ears! The centre itself no longer sells music cds. There are plenty of other things like a small miniature mill solar powered for £ ouch.... ,tempted just for the fun of it, but head said no!!

It had a resident cat, and a fish & pet division. Times have changed but the owners have upgraded the interior. Though the Cafe is now Costa, and the Pet shop gone replaced by an Hobby shop.
