I've gone back and forth about whether to write this because I genuinely tried to give Dr. Jenifer Waddell's approach a chance. I really wanted to believe that her method could help me, but in the end, it just wasn't the right fit for my needs. I originally sought treatment for multiple herniated and bulging discs and chronic migraines and made it very clear from the beginning that I was specifically looking for traditional chiropractic adjustments. I had personally seen her husband performing hands-on spinal adjustments on other patients, and from my 30+ years of experience with chiropractic care, I knew that adjustments had always been the most effective treatment for me to relieve the tremendous pressure in my body. However, Dr. Jenifer was fully committed to her own method--which I had never heard of before--and didn't seem open to discussing alternatives. Instead of offering a single or multiple session so I could test whether her treatment worked for me, she required me to commit to a 12-session package upfront for $1,200. Based on the five-star reviews, I trusted the process and moved forward, hoping for relief. What I Actually Got: * No hands-on adjustments--not even once in 12 visits. * A small clicking device that was used along my neck and back, which provided very little relief for my pain. * Dismissal of my repeated requests to for a traditional adjustment, which her husband performs on his patients right in front of me. (I even asked for his number, but she wrote down her own instead.) * A strict morning-only schedule, which made it really stressful for me to attend. * A focus on selling packages over Individualized patient care --by the end of my 12 visits, she encouraged me to sign on for a $3,000 plan to lower my per-visit cost. At the beginning of our sessions she also encouraged me to purchase additional equipment, including a wobble stability cushion, which I did buy, and a neck decompression device costing upwards of $300. I thought decompression was something chiropractors performed as part of treatment, so I was surprised that I was being asked to do it myself at home. I could barely afford the $1,200 I had already spent, so I opted not to buy the decompression device. I truly wanted to believe in her approach, even though I really wanted a full body adjustment. but after 12 sessions, I realized that it just wasn't working for me. I only wish she had been more open to helping me find what I was looking for instead of insisting on selling her own method. While I respect that different chiropractors have different philosophies, I personally feel that this office is very focused on money. I regret spending so much on something that ultimately wasn't the right fit. I was suffering and in a lot of pain and this was an expensive lesson. In a word, TRANSFORMATIVE! I had struggled with chronic, 24/7 neck and shoulder pain (resulting from a fall off a bed at 6 months old) for over 50 years, and NOTHING I tried - massage, acupuncture, physical therapy, surgery, or half a dozen other chiropractors - could relieve the pain in any sort of lasting way. I found Drs. Scott and Jenn Waddell after moving to SoCal, and their careful, knowledgeable ministrations have been a total game-changer for me: I started treatment with them three months ago, and I have been almost 100% pain-free since the first adjustment (I say "almost" because it takes some time to chip away at a nerve and energetic pattern that's over half a century old, so in the first couple months of treatment, I did find that the adjustments wouldn't always "hold" in between visits, but that was understandable). I think the thing that really sets Waddell Wellness apart from the other chiropractors I've seen (in other cities) is that they take a more "big-picture," long-term approach to healing. Thankful for the care our family receives from Waddell Wellness. I originally sought help for chronic back and neck pain in 2019. I was unable to sit or lie down without pain, and then unable to work. Because of the lack of curvature in my neck I suffered from chronic migraines. I lived on pain meds trying to make it through the day. After a few months in working to repair the curvature with adjustments, and a bit of work at home, my migraines lessened significantly to where I was able to go off pain medicine entirely. I currently live migraine free. Also, in addressing my mid and lower pack pain with regular adjustments and pilates I am able to stay active, take care of my family, and now feel better than I did in my 30's. With the results I received it wasn't long till our whole family was being treated at Waddell wellness. One of my daughters is an athlete who was struggling with growing/pain issues and injuries do to being out of alignment. We have had her treated for over the last three years approximately once a month which keeps her competing optimally and injury free. I have been skeptical about seeing a chiropractor because of all the negative things I've heard and been taught about them. I got introduced to Dr. Scott through Instagram and their new patient special. I decided that I didn't really have much to lose testing it out. Dr. Scott did an exam and some X-rays and scans and showed me what I already knew. My spine and neck needed work. I have been seeing the Dr Jennifer for treatment for 7 weeks. Within a month I saw a huge improvement in my immune system which was one of my main concerns when I came to them. I was getting very sick each month including mono, pneumonia and sinus infections regularly last year even though I live a healthy lifestyle. As a critical care nurse, I can't say I wasn't skeptical of chiropractors but WOW, they delivered and made me a believer. It all started back in November of 2019 after I got into a pretty horrific bike accident-- cracked my helmet, got CT scans, Xrays, had horrible abrasions, etc. After that accident I began have terrible lower back pain on my right side that referred to my hip (I crashed left, flipped right over my handle bars going about 25 mph and slide about 25ft in dirt and gravel). Then after having a surgery that required mesh tacking to my sacrum internally I began to feel a new pain in my right hamstring that burned- like I could never quite reach the area to stretch it fully- and it radiated all the way down into my calf/shin/right foot. I have also been having terrible digestive issues, migranes, vision and hearing loss mostly on the R side. I'm not here to say they're going to work miracle for you. I'm otherwise extremely healthy and compete in triathlons regularly. That being said, after ONE visit, I had tangible, noticeable results. Headaches were reduced, hearing improved, leg pain gone, digestion even a little better. Its crazy because I was honestly thinking this isn't going to change a darn thing, but I was floored to see changes in my well being only a day or two later.
