You have to be a strong soul to work the 3rd shift at Waffle House dealing with the dynamics of people coming in. We the locals have nothing great to eat in this area. We passed many house of waffles along the way but ended up here by the house. Post on the door TAKE OUT ONLY before folks walk in to sit down because there's not enough people to work. And then don't be rude about it when you tell people they can't sit. It was heavy with people waiting to get to go food. So we just left...killed the vibe and high hopes of an all star meal. read more

Worse Waffle House experience EVER!!!!! The waitress was a nice girl but not the most competent. She forgot our waffles, it wasn't until the end of the meal that I asked her and she said the chef forgot to make em and I'll do it now. But then she brought back a burnt waffle to which she KNOWINGLY came back and said it this too dark? Or would you like me to overdo it or remove it from the bill? At this point we were already finished eating and full from dissatisfaction! So I quickly said please remove it and all of the waffles she forgot from our order. She also gave us dirty napkins that I picked up in front of her and said we can't use these. She said nothing and continued to place the other napkins down. I ordered a double order of hash browns, scattered smothered and covered but only one order was done correctly and they slid the other order of hash browns UNDERNEATH the smashed, smothered and covered ones. So now I'm stuck with 2 orders of hash browns, one plain and the other how I ordered them. When I mentioned this, the waitress said she'd bring me more hash browns and I then received a burnt plate of hash browns; so solid that I could throw them like a frisbee. I frequently stop at this location and often get the same thing. Usually a waffle and a chicken hash bowl. Today 4/24/24 I came in for my usual but am unable to eat potatoes at the moment. My server April was very sweet and called out my order to the grill cook Jayvaun, which was a chicken hash bowl, hold the hash. He rudely replied that he would not be cutting up the chicken. (Which is what I requested) April didn't know if he was serious or not leaving her in a very awkward situation, so she gave me a knife just in case he was. He in fact did not cut up my chicken and in my opinion it was very rude and poor customer service. He would have had to cut up the chicken had I ordered the hash brown bowl. He just wanted to be rude. It certainly ruined my experience which is usually great at this location. read more

When I pulled up at 2:15pm on a Saturday I was greeted when approaching the door that they where shut down. I could understand if the system was down and they where waiting to get back running but nothing was said by the host other than. "We shut down for the moment" Based on the other reviews I probably won't be coming back to this one. read more

Went there this afternoon for takeout and noticed male employee preparing plates was not wearing a face mask. He had a gaiter over his chin. Needless to say, I left. I've gone here before and never noticed employees not practicing safety measures. read more

From what I can tell, this location is a lot better than most I have been to. Greetings hit you the minute you open the door from 2 to 3 voices. Your service is for the most part always going to be quick, especially if you know what you want. Food is prepared by cooks who seem to care about what they do and how they present their food. The only time you'll possibly be be served a bad plate is during a rush, but even then this store holds their own. Food is good, great home taste it can also depend on who cooked what food items on which days. Overall more than a good experience every time I go and highly to recommend. read more

Awful service. Walked in there to order something to go. I asked if it was already made and was told yes. Nothing else said. Another customer walks in, gets her to go order and every worker in there talked to her "have a nice day". I saw the gentleman put a slop of gravy in a to go container, but I thought it might have been mashed potatoes. The gravy was not gravy. I didn't say anything, hoping that wasn't mine. Finally, I said something and they said oh, it's not ready. Left. I should also mention, I was the only customer in there at the time and the employees were sitting around. Walked in, and unlike every other Waffle House in the Atlanta area, this one didn't have any tables open at all, and only one seat at the counter! Needless to say, I walked right back out and won't be back. I guess they hate money at this location! read more

Food is good. There used to be a guy here who would put a killing in the grits but from what I hear, they let him go around Christmas because he had a death in the family and requested off to attend the funeral. I hear they told him no, so he quit. That's horrible on WH part if it's true. Service is slow most of the time and when you look up at the vents, you will notice TONS of dust. I always make sure I don't sit at a table where a vent is directly above me, as I fear "stuff" falling into my plate. read more

I did it. I do believe I have eaten at every restaurant in Ellenwood. Got a burger on a Sat night with hashbrowns. I was the ONLY customer yet the staff seemed to be cleaning everything. It was weird but not unappreciated. Loved my burger and the people. read more

If I could give this negative stars I absolutely would. Upon walking into this location I noticed it was extremely hot, maybe their air conditioner was broken but this caused several customers to walk out. I didn't mind so much because I was planning on ordering food to-go, so I thought I'd be in and out... Wrong. When was finally my time to order after about 10 minutes, the woman standing there shouts, "Who wants to take this to-go order?!" When no one says anything she says disappointingly, "I guess I'll do it." Sorry that you have to do your job? I order my food then she says she'll call me back up to pay because she has to add my total up by hand... OK? 15 minutes later she calls me up, gives me my total, hands me my food, and I notice my order is wrong. Hot and annoyed, I pay, sit back down and wait another 10 minutes for my correct order to come back up. After all of that, I got home only to discover that my hashbrowns weren't cooked to my liking and they didn't give me the correct condiments. I will not be going back there. read more

When this Waffle House first opened, it was not good. The other WH in Ellenwood, close to Quiktrip was better. However, this WH has upped their game and is the best and cleanest. I now prefer this waffle house over the one next to the Quiktrip. read more

These workers are super lazy instead of making fresh food they will give you food that they had set aside for hours. I ordered a simple plain waffle once I got home to eat it it was hard as a brick as if it had sat there overnight.
