I was leaving a family outing on July 4th and wanted a chili dog from cookout. I pulled up to the window was immediately greeted by a young lady who was nice enough to assist me with ordering the correct combo. I ordered the chili dog with coleslaw, onions, ketchup and mustard, fries and a chocolate shake. For the price of $11ish this was a great value. The chili slaw dog was really good, the end was a little burnt I cut that part off. The fries could've been a little fresher, the chocolate shake was delicious. Their two drive in lane system sucks and is too confusing. The person in front of me in the right lane would not move forward to the window so I had to just leave. The car in front of me didn't understand the signage telling him to yield to the left lane. He thought he couldn't go if there were any cars in the left lane, which means he would never go because there are always cars in the left lane. read more

Was located on the corner at a light easily accessible. There as a lot of parking spaces. I had the Tray, with a bar b que sandwich with coleslaw, chicken wrap, hush puppies and a cherry wine float. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TOLERATE RUDE SERVICE FROM INEXPERIENCED INCOMPETENT KIDS!!! Went to Cookout with the expectation of grabbing a bite to eat. The 2 drive-through people were over talking each other and made it hard to understand what they were saying when I mentioned it they became rude. My last two experiences within one month at the highway 85 location in Riverdale has been awful. Although the food was exceptional , the customer service at this location was piss poor . Last night I inquired about the amount which was initially $10.25 , and should have been adjusted to 9.71 . After handing my food , the two young ladies said something smart and giggled . This visit was something out of the blue. My son and I couldn't figure out where we wanted to eat. So we stopped and it went through the drive-thru. We were greeted quickly. The young lady was very kind and patient. We ordered two cookout tray's,one with a barbecue sandwich one with chicken strips,onion rings ,french fries corn dogs and a bacon wrap and two of their peanut butter chocolate milkshakes. The barbecue sandwich was OK the chicken strips,I thought were pretty good. The onion rings was like all batter and milkshakes had to much peanut butter and Not enough chocolate. Everytime I go here they always get my order wrong. I'm allergic to onions and every time I order a burger with no onions they always end up on my sandwich. If I get a pulled pork sandwich with the slaw on the side there is always slaw on the sandwich. Management needs to do better with the hiring because it's always kids that are supposed to be working but always playing and joking, no wonder they can't get a order correct. The speaker barely works when you place your order because you have to keep repeating yourself a million times. They definitely won't get my money anymore because I'll end up in the hospital from negligence with food allergies and they would have a big lawsuit on their hands. Cook Out is like the East coast (Southside) equivalent to West coast's In & Out. They are quick, cheap, and the food is always good. I love their bacon wraps anytime: day or night. They're open late which is a hunger save when you're coming home late from work or partying! I live 5 minutes from Cookout (walking) so I go all the time. Their burgers, chicken strips, wraps, and fries are always on point. My food has never been cold and my orders have always been made right. They are really cheap so it doesn't break my pockets eaten there often. For lunch or dinner. I'll be honest...the food here is a big disappointment. Why couldn't it be just a bit higher quality? I understand it's fast food so I am setting the bar low, but there aren't too many things on the menu here that are really good. The fries aren't that good...but the onion rings make up for it and are cooked well. But the burgers, Hot dogs, and fries chicken sandwiches all have that smashed bread, low quality meat taste. Its not that it's absolutely horrible, it's just that I would rather eat Burger King or McDonalds. To me the cookout should at least remind you of a cookout. Instead...I am reminded of nothing I care to remember. With that being said, I am not writing this place off completely. The corn dogs and onion rings aren't bad, which makes me want to try other items on the menu. Honestly, the best thing I've had from here are the milkshakes! OMG!! Those get 5 stars. Well since there is no number to call, I'll leave a review. I was excited about my Cookout meal, 2 hotdogs, fries and coleslaw but when I got home I was highly disappointed. I now have cole slaw juice all over my hotdogs and it spilled out over my cloth couch. Some slack ass crew member didn't put the lid on correctly and put the slaw in sideways! The four stars is for the milkshake and not the food. The food was average. Nothing special about the burger or fries. They were good but not great. The shake, however, was awesome and worth every star. The price is cheap and the service is quick and polite. Make sure you get a shake. They have over 40 varieties! Hmmm. I am not sure if I was lucky, or I didn't see what the other reviews did. My family found Cook Out a few years back driving through NC. Now it seems every time we take a trip through the South, we have to plot a Cook Out in our path. We've been to about 6 of them, and this was the cleanest one we've been to. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. Especially taking an order from a family of 5. It is Cook Out, not the Ritz. So, set that bar accordingly. This would be 4 stars, but like I said. Horrible treatment of employees by management. Managers are clocking the teenagers out before they end their shift to save on labor without employee permission. A full a formal complaint on the Management of Cookout, Riverdale GA. General Manager - TyKeisha Manager - Micheal I will be filing a full complaint with corporate and the Fair Labor Board against management at this location. Twice you clocked my child out and still had her working. She gave her availability and you requested help and haven't changed her schedule back and The GM - Keisha discussed with my daughter the fact that she would be out of town for her grandfathers funeral requesting time off and she blatantly ignored. All this while she is continued to be denied any raise because she is the highest paid in the store even after she consistently steps up and goes above and beyond her job. I was in the store on 10/18 and while both managers were in the lobby they never made an attempt to acknowledge me or to ask what they could help me with. I had to approach the counter and ask for someone to let my child know I needed to get her keys. The lack of professionalism and basic concern for employees is truly an embarrassment to Cookout. Fair Labor Standard Act of 1938 is something you may want management to review. The manipulation of time has happened to several employees but I will not stand for it for my child. read more
