The slices were pre-mixed in ginger already, just not good at all. Oysters were average, nothing spectacular. The warm slice of bread was a chef's miss. Thick slice, toasted on each side but never got crispy and it was doughy in the middle. It was very average despite the recommendations in our guide book. Expensive for the quality. The inside can definitely use some renovation as it looks like an old ship from a bad movie. I would never recommend it and I will never go back.

The menu is quite extensive, and there are a tempting variety of choices from breakfast to lunch to even dinner-sized mains. Food choices are from several types of cuisine, including choices such as a Mexican burger, Russian chicken dumplings, fresh fish, and a yummy Tuscan chicken risotto. We've tried several dishes and found all of them very good with good balance of flavours. The coffees are delicious as well. We haven't had room to try dessert, but some very nice-looking treats are on display, so will have to save some room for next time! This place is definitely worth visiting, bring your appetite!

Staying in Bairnsdale we wanted to see what else the area had to offer so the next day we decided to visit Lakes Entrance after lunch (which was at a fantastic restaurant in Lindenow). Other than the views (scenic lookouts) there wasn't much else at Lakes Entrance so we were desperate for other things to do in the area. With a bit of googling we were fortunate enough to find Nullamunjie Olive Oil and The Pressing Shed - thank goodness!! The Pressing Shed is set in a picturesque valley with hilly pastures and green/yellow fields. The cafe is clean and modern with a wonderful front terrace for outdoor seating adjacent the Olive Grove. The food is fresh, simple and tasty, we ordered a small charcuterie platter and salad to share along with vino. After lunch we needed a little break before dessert so took a stroll through the Olive Grove, about 30 minutes, before returning for Olive Oil cake and coffee. The day was perfect. Service was friendly and inviting. I loved how all the food and wine was curated locally, but the setting was serene and blissful. The Pressing Shed Cafe made our trip! If we hadn't found it I have no idea what we would've done that last day in the area.
