Thank you Mike and Chantel for doing an excellent job caring for our dog, Martini! We were vacationing and needed a kennel since our beach house didn't allow pets. They were professional, kind and caring --- we picked up a happy healthy girl who was clean and smelled good. The accommodations were well set up and everything was neat, clean and organized. They went above and beyond by winning over our shy Martini by taking her on walks and giving her extra attention. When we had our initial meeting to see how Martini dealt with other dogs , both Mike and Chantel took time to get to know Martini and they were well versed in training and dog psychology. This is the best groomer I've ever taken my dogs to. Not only do they do a fantastic job grooming, but they also have such a passion for pups. They take such wonderful care of my two dogs when they are there and my dogs are always so happy when I pick them up; and I can tell you that has not always been the case at other grooming facilities. To be honest my dogs can be quite crazy and a handful to manage, but Wag This Way's staff have been nothing but accommodating and caring. Besides their quality of care, another wonderful quality is that they have an open pen facility where the dogs are free to roam, relax and socialize while they wait for their grooming or if their being boarded over night. This is so great for my dogs because I prefer not to have my dogs cooped up in kennels all day waiting to be groomed. Wag this Way is the best grooming/boarding facility in Panama City! read more

We were highly disappointed with Wag This Way. At first, we were excited to keep our dog here because Chantel seemed very responsive, they have a good website, and seemed like it was well organized. When we wanted to drop our dog off, the owners were not answering their phone, we were greeted by two very unfriendly gentlemen, and the facilities were horrible looking. It's a sterile warehouse! They could have done damage control by at least picking up our calls, but upon leaving several messages, we still haven't received a call back. DO NOT recommend this place. Barks Baths and Beyond is MUCH better. read more

This place claims to get a small dog back to you in 1.5 to 2 hours. The first time we dropped my dog off my wife dropped him off at 11:47 a.m and got him back at 3:59 p.m. How do I know that he wasn't just sitting there waiting to be picked up? This business charges you $20 extra for daycare if you do not pick up your dog in an hour. Even if you are even a minute late you still get charged! This is stipulated by a ridiculous contract that they have you sign. Despite that I've lived in Panama City over 20 years and have had many dogs groomed I've never signed a contract. I didn't think anything of it until I realized why they do this. The second time my wife took our dog to get groomed they said he was going to be ready sometime in the afternoon. When I came home for lunch they called at 11:37 a.m. and said we had an hour to pick our dog up or we would be charged for daycare. To avoid the charge my wife had to drop everything and rush out there during the lunch rush. Despite the fact they gave us the wrong time to pick up our dog. We don't live on the beach so it takes a long time to get our there especially while fighting lunch traffic. We only assumed it would be in the afternoon because that it what they said and the last grooming took over 3.5 hrs. I ended up getting back to work late since I had to watch my son who was napping. My wife of course explained all of this to the owner who proceeded to be rude and belittle her for not being ready at the drop of a hat to get our dog despite them giving us the wrong time to pick him up. They did cut us a break and said they would give us a ONE time exception if we were no more than 5 mins late. We wanted to try this place after seeing so many positive reviews on google. I don't trust these reviews after having such a negative experience and considering most mention the owners by name suggesting that they are just friends leaving reviews. Regardless, we will find a different place to groom our dog hopefully we won't have to sign too many contracts and they might actually tell us the correct time to pick up our dog. read more

This is a wonderful place to get your dog groomed! We have a large, VERY hairy Great Pyrenees who had not been groomed in a few months. He is also a little shy around new circumstances. They did a great job of bathing and combing him out and he was calm and happy when we picked him up. We will be using Wag This Way again for sure! read more

Very unhappy with my experience with Wag This Way. I dropped off my dogs before going out of town and was extremely pleased to see the free range areas for the dogs to roam and play and I felt that my dogs would be in capable hands. However, things took a turn after I picked up one dog (I left my other dog through the 4th of July because he's terrified of fireworks). After getting my one dog home I realized that she had fleas everywhere so I gave her several flea baths to correct the situation. Two days later I called Wag This Way to let them know that I was on my way to pick up my 2nd dog and that I needed to know my total since they only take cash - I was told $195 unless I came after 9 a.m then it would be $225. While I had her on the phone I let her know that my dog (the one I picked up 2 days prior) had come home with fleas and that I just wanted to let them know so they could check the other dogs since mine did not have fleas before she arrived. I was told that they could give my other dog a flea bath but it would cost $30, so I said "please don't do that, I am less than 10 minutes away and have flea treatment at home since I just had to use it." Once arriving (at 8 a.m.) my husband went in to pay and was told it was going to be $225 so he came out to get me and I went inside as well to explain the conversation that had taken place less than 10 minutes prior. At this point, I realize that they are saying it's $225 because they are giving my dog the flea treatment...I explained that I told the woman over the phone to please not do that since I was in the car and less than 10 minutes away. They told us that it was "in the contract" that if fleas are found it's mandatory that they receive a flea treatment. Now, I am not disputing the contract because it is in there. However, what I find INCREDIBLY frustrating is that I'm the one who brought it to THEIR attention 10 minutes prior to arriving. One dog was there for 6 days and the other for 3 and NO ONE noticed that they had gotten fleas until I mentioned it and then they decide to fall back on the contract so they can charge an additional fee. We explain our frustration and were told that they would accept $195. At this point I realize that I grabbed the incorrect amount and I told them that we would head to the bank (which is just a few minutes away) and grab the remaining $10. Literally one minute after leaving, they call my cell to say "$195 isn't going to work, it will be $225." Are you flipping kidding me?! After arriving, once again, at Wag This Way we explain our position again (and no we were not as nice as we could've been, but can you imagine the irritation at this point?) to no avail. After things escalating, the cops being called, and my husband being called a "piece of shit" in front of our 6 year old, we paid the $225 and listened as the male (employee? Owner? I'm not sure) quoted facts about libel to us and told us that he "has our information" as we were trying to get in our vehicle. Once again, I understand that it's in the contract to give flea baths when fleas are found, but when I call 10 minutes prior to arriving to ask my total and alert THEM to the presence of fleas in their establishment, it feels pretty bogus for them to use their contract to be able to charge me extra money after they clearly weren't watching either or my dogs or they would have noticed the fleas long before I called and told them. Also, the woman I originally talked to on the phone said "IF we have to give him a flea bath it will be an extra $30" and after I asked her not to she never said "no, we have to because it's in the contract." So they let me come there expecting to pay $195 only to change their minds once I arrived. So $225 and one very wet dog in my car later (since he didn't have time to dry in the 8 minutes it took me to get to their establishment) I am ticked at these people. Keep in mind, the female employee told me that my dog "had fleas all over his body. Literally everywhere." So how, I ask you, did they not notice that he was riddled with fleas in the 6 days he was there? Because anyone who has ever had a pet with fleas know exactly how hard that would be to overlook. Maybe they are just overbooked and overwhelmed, but do yourself and your pet(s) a favor and find a better place where they will be watched more closely. P.S. We have taken our pets to this groomer for quite some time and was very pleased with their care and the wonderful results when we picked them up, however, yesterday was a whole different story. I accidentally confused the time. I thought 2 of the pets appointments were at 10:30 but when I called the young man who answered the phone stated the appointment was at 10. I explained to him I had the time confused and we would be right over. The pets arrived 10 minutes late. The young man stated it would be $10 extra for being late. He was very rude and demanding. He would not help get the pets inside. Our visit for the 2 pets was always $65 but yesterday we were charged $85 dollars. Keep in mind one pet is less than 5 lb.s and the other is a min pin, no cutting required just a bath, nail care, and anal glands. This is a cash only business which I find a little odd. I also have taken my 7 lb. silky there twice and was charged $50 each time. Usually, the young man is very kind and helpful but yesterday did it for us. They have lost our business completely. It's had to find a good and caring groomer but you don't treat your customers with disrespecct and rudeness. read more

Terrible. Litterally terrible. Dogs never had fleas until they were brought here and left with them even though that say they gave my dogs a flea bath. They clearly charged me for it. When I asked about it they argued with me and told me that I clearly dont care to take care of my dogs. Beware of this place. You will regret taking your fury family here. read more

LOVE this place !!!! I have a year old German short hair pointer and he is full of energy! They are so helpful with any questions I have about how to train him. They are VERY knowledgeable about what they do. We had a hard time with him pulling us during walks and they took the time to show us how to walk him and what collars to use and how to use that type of collar with NO extra charge. We take our dog there at least once a week. They always inform us if our dog plays hard and may have some scratches on him. Our dog is also VERY allergic to ants and we have never had any issues or if he did get bit we were informed. We board our dog with them often and always get picture updates while we are out of town. I HIGHLY recommend this place !!! read more

Do not take your dogs to this facility. Our older dogs contracted kennel cough and were very stressed out. We cannot recommend this place in good conscience. It took several weeks for our dogs to recover from the 4 days of boarding. I would give them 0 stars if allowed. read more
