I recently visited during the second weekend in May 2026 to walk along the creek. I had just left the Bay Village library and noticed the little bridge over the creek so I decided to walk down to explore especially since the weather was beautiful on that day. I've been coming here during the summer months since around 2023, to play tennis. The tennis courts are in good condition and there are 4 total courts. I believe there are light posts in the evenings that automatically switch on for when it gets dark. In turn, the metroparks are building trails and turning this area into an official park. The best part is, West Creek Preserve is being linked to the existing Cleveland Metrokparks system. I sooo can't wait for the trails to open up. I have cycled the existing, albeit short, trails already. The scenery is great! You can see the enormous TV towers of Parma plus a lot of deer and other wildlife. I absolutely love the Cleveland Metroparks and I believe they are one of the best reasons to live in the Cleveland area. They add a lot of quality to my life. Additionally, it adds diversity to Parma and hopefully will help to increase land values. Parma is such a great community to live in, but the schools are not great. The garden is part of the Cleveland Public Library and it is actually connected to it. It is named after Linda Eastman who was director of the library years ago (1918-1938). I finally visited in July 2023 with a friend. We both enjoyed walking around, taking photos, and admiring the beautiful windows of one of the adjoining buildings. The garden is surrounded by trees, a tall iron gate at both entrances, a very small waterfall, benches, and movable chairs with a tables placed all around the garden. When you step into the garden, you instantly feel a sense of happiness, serenity, and peace as you hear birds chirping and breath in fresh air. Hopefully you visit on a quiet day because there are always events around the city especially in the summer months. If I lived downtown, I would definitely come here often to read outside. The "FREE STAMP" here is cool and a nice structure to see. I love the pink colour that the word "FREE" is written on. This is apparently the largest rubber stamp in Cleveland...haha. It would have being nice if the City erected a plaque right next to the stamp that describes it. For a great view of Lake Erie, walk straight ahead on East 9th street until you reach Voinovich Bicentennial Park. In practice, it is a bit rough with the traffic constantly and noisily whizzing by. Some plots were under construction when I stopped by, but more importantly, I was quite perplexed with the choice of cultures, which was heavily tilted towards Eastern Europe (are there a lot of Latvian and Azerbaijani immigrants to Cleveland?), but with other seemingly random countries occasionally making an appearance, such as Ethiopia and India. They have a Hebrew cultural garden with plaques of famous American Jews. Their Ukrainian section was dotted with extra accoutrements including blue and yellow stones by local schoolchildren, which didn't really strike me as being appropriate or helpful. The Ethiopian section was a surprising standout with its artistic display, while other sections focused on sculpture art or plaques. The amount of actual plant life native to the nominated region was in many cases minimal, but each plot was its own different endeavor. Walking the whole length of the path from the museum center to the waterfront was considerably longer than it appeared on the map, so I did only part of that.

GARDENS -- There are over 25 cultural gardens each for a particular country; for example, India or Ireland. The best way to see the gardens is by walking. You really have to get out of your car to explore the gardens further especially since some of them go deep inside along the trees. PARKING -- The gardens are situated on a very long Martin Luther King Drive street; hence, that's why there is no where to park. I suggest parking at the boat dock along Lake Erie and then walking through the gardens. I love the little lake here. Still an operating field, they also have outdoor displays, and an indoor museum (tickets are reasonable).
