Wagging Pawsibilities group basic obedience class was phenomenal! We had a great group, that was not too big and everyone was engaged. Our instructor Ethan, was outstanding! He took the time to teach us owners how to effectively teach and train our pups. I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs training! My puppy is a four month old Siberian Husky and the improvement in his skills was incredible. I'm already signed up for advanced and will post a new review for that! Don't wait to get you and your pup into training, this is worth the investment into a well behaved pup. Also I love their puppy play classes, they have 3 groups and it is so much fun!!!

Sprocket and Bruiser love when they get to see Ethan!!! And they're getting alone so well since we started training!!!

If you take the tools and techniques Jose teaches and implement them, it'll work, and you'll be happy and have a well-behaved dog! Additionally, his prices are some of the fairest I found after interviewing several dog trainers. He takes the approach of letting me lead in what I think my dog needs, but also offers his opinions. Car rides were awful, we had to cover our windows so he would not react to people or dogs walking by, and he even reacted to cartoon dogs on TV. He also started showing aggression toward our other dog. We had tried multiple training classes before and things were only getting worse. After Jose's 16 day program Otis came home like a completely different dog. Even after the first few days we could see his confidence growing and every group class showed more progress. Other dog owners even commented on how much he had changed. I truly never thought I would see Otis running around playing with other dogs but now he is a normal, happy dog. Jose fixed him and completely changed his life and ours. This is the best money we have ever spent and I will always be grateful. I cannot recommend him enough!

Now at 9 months old, after 6 lessons and weeks of practice, practice, practice, he is a different dog. I never thought there could be such a difference in a dog in such a short time. Jesse was afraid of so much. He had to learn how to go up and down stairs and be comfortable riding in a car. Every noise on a walk startled him -- birds, cars, loud noises, other dogs, people, everything. Walking with him was a horrible experience. He pulled and sniffed constantly, lunged at people and other dogs. Nothing I did was helping because I had no idea of what to do. He wasn't much better in the house. He had no boundaries. He would not stay in one place for any length of time. He couldn't be in the backyard because he constantly ate the mulch and chewed holes in the grass. Thank goodness I found Jack! All of that has changed - in 3 months! Because of what Jack has taught me, I now am able to successfully communicate with my dog and help him gain the confidence he needs to be his best self. His energy has mellowed since he no longer has the need to take control of everyone and everything. His walks are enjoyable - even off leash. Yes, Jesse can be off leash and we hike the trails in Boulder. He comes when called and he will walk beside me with no leash if I ask him to. It's really unbelievable. There are so many things I could tell you about my amazing dog and what he can do. But you can experience it yourself if any of this sounds familiar. If you are willing to put in the time to work with you dog and do what Jack or Alex tells you, I have every reason to believe you will have great results. My daughter worked with Alex and followed her advice. She was certain her dog would never stop chasing rabbits and squirrels or be trusted off leash as well as numerous other problems. After 3 months, she too has had amazing results and now a well-behaved dog. We hike together -- with our dogs off leash. I continue to use the foundation, techniques, and education Jack provided as I continue training with Jesse. There is always room for improvement and new things for both of us to learn. I really could not have managed Jesse without Jack's help. I will always be grateful.

Everything from Pomeranians to Labrador and Golden Retrievers and every breed, temperament and personality in between. It's easy to find trainers but it can be really hard to find a GOOD trainer! Over the years, we've spent thousands on dog behavior veterinarians, breed specific trainers, and your basic pet store group classes. All of these can work for some dogs, but not all. We lost our two black Labrador brothers this past summer to age related health problems. We were completely devestated. We didn't know if we could do it again until Jack decided for us. Jack is a male Bichon mix rescue, but who rescued who? Jack rescued us - literally ! When we got Jack home we wanted to start out on the right foot immediately. We used two online trainings - waste of money and time. We asked, searched and found several self-proclaimed and "guaranteed results" trainers. You had a time limited training. From past training experiences, if your dog didn't learn everything in that timeframe you were left feeling frustrated and confused as to what to do next. Then we found Adrienne at Bark Busters. They aren't inexpensive, but when we found out they would be partners for the life of our dog, we were hooked. In over 40 years of our dogs and training, Adrienne is the ONLY trainer who actually knows what she's doing. Jack began training as a timid puppy who then developed into a defiant teenager with an attitude. Adrienne has given us the tools and behavioral changes we needed to make to consistently provide Jack with age appropriate expectations. We now understand how to think like a dog and speak "dog". Jack is becoming calm and confident that we are the leaders and he can enjoy being a puppy. Thank you Adrienne!

About a year ago, our dog Maddie (who was 5 at the time) went through ACA's one-month immersion training program. Going into it, she was quite reactive - especially toward other dogs, and occasionally toward people as well. We were hopeful the program would help curb her aggressiveness and make her a better overall canine citizen. The results truly exceeded our expectations. Maddie's temperament noticeably softened, and she became far less reactive in situations that used to trigger her. In addition to that transformation, ACA did an excellent job reinforcing all the foundational commands - "here," "place," "heel," "sit," "stay," etc. Just as importantly, they didn't just train Maddie - they equipped us with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to continue building on that foundation at home. One of the most impressive aspects of ACA is their ongoing support. Their commitment doesn't end when the program does - they stay with you for the life of your dog. They offer weekly group training sessions for all program graduates, (free of charge!), which have been incredibly valuable. These sessions are run by their trainers, who are always available to provide real-time guidance on any challenges you are facing. The group setting itself is a huge benefit. It gives both dogs and owners the opportunity to practice skills in a controlled environment, with distractions, which is essential for real-world success. As an owner, I've learned a tremendous amount from these sessions and rarely miss a week. If you are looking for a training program that delivers real results and long-term support, I highly recommend American Canine Academy. They truly care about the dogs they work with and the people who love them. - DavidS

His behavior and fear far exceeded anything I could manage on my own, as nothing I did worked to help the Pup out. A friend of mine recommended Jenny. Jenny was amazing and God sent!!!! She supported me and gave me a lot of information on what to do to get our new found puppy to feel safe and come out of his shell. Through her walking me through what to do, contacting me to see how its going and her positive words the whole time, she was the catalyst for this puppy's recovery. Our new puppy went from being scared of us, Peeing himself when we were near and hiding in corners, to comming when I call, snuggling with me and playing all day long with his toys and our other dogs. He went from being the most sad soul I have ever met and transformed into a goofy and silly sweet boy. I accredit this to Jenny's information and guidance. He was a very extreme situation and it took a different approach and a level of understanding to get him to the place he is in now. Jenny comes highly recommended by myself and I would use her for any of my dogs or for any future needs because she is absolutely amazing!!! It seemed that they just had most of the dogs in the one "play area". I checked in to see what my dog was doing and noticed that a few bigger dogs were nipping at him and I could tell he was getting frustrated and kept trying to hide and run away. I saw other smaller dogs who were extremely uncomfortable as well. When I called and asked them what was going on the man I spoke to was incompetent and had no idea what was going. He could barely hold a conversation with me so I just decided to come get my dog. When I arrived and asked him why they are all in one play area he explained to me that it's about age and not size. It literally says in the website that they separate them by size. He told me "I said I was sorry". Also told me that the dog that was harassing my dog was a 5 month old poodle. If you have a small dog don't bring them to this location. I have gone to the centennial location which does keep them separate and have competent staff. I also reached out to talk to a manager and was told they are on vacation. Very unprofessional establishment that doesn't care about the safety of the animals. Update: It took two days for the "manager" Kristina to talk to me on the phone. Once I got her on the phone she told me that all the dogs are under 30 pounds in the room my pup was in when I said that I didn't believe for that to be true she got defensive and escalated the conversation. I responded that I didn't call to argue with you and she hung up on me. The phone call was one minute. Very unprofessional
