PUPPIES OR PLUSH TOYS? Absolutely a well organized puppy store with four large floor playpens with the cutest small breed puppies. The store employee, Amanda, provided a plethora of information on each of the breeds. It was a wonderful sight to see that the playpens were minimally full at only two or three puppies in each and NOT indicative of a "puppy mill". The two tiny Cava Poos were just larger than my hand (see pic) and weighed under two pounds. They were so energetic and sweet but they come with a large price tag of $5000.00, which include a health assessment by a vet. Sadly, no discount for full cash payment vs plastic. The walls were full of carrying bags, necklaces, toys and clothing. Kimberly Glad you finally took the time to respond to my "claim" as you refer to it., but you never took the time to call or speak to us personally. For one, we saw the puppy that one day (Wednesday) and put down the deposit that day. We didn't come in the two days to visit that you claim in your response. Lie! We came in again on Friday with plans to pick up the puppy, but changed our mind after doing our research. Anyone can find this information online. Tail docking is NOT a standard practice according to the AKC and the VDMA. We also never saw any health certificates like you claimed. Lie! The owner works with one vet. We actually used this vet for our previous fur baby. At that time, the vet was recommended by a friend who purchased a dog from Wags to Riches. Their dog came home on an IV because he was dehydrated. The vet she is in cahoots with misdiagnosed our shih tzu who lost her vision in her left eye because of this vet. He never told us to go to a specialist and just kept trying different ointments. As the eye got worse, we took her to another vet who told us we needed to get her to an eye specialist immediately. We had to give her three different eye drops round the clock every three hours for three weeks! She could have lost her eye totally but it was saved by Animal Eye Specialty with a significant vision loss. Her vet is not someone that I would exactly trust. Why would Kimberly force any customer to sign a final deposit if all dogs are properly cared for? In addition, my husband asked several times before signing the paperwork if he could get his money refunded if there was even the slightest problem with this dog. She said definitely yes that we would get a full refund. Lie! Tail docking is not a common practice for shipoos. They are sometimes done for working dogs or show dogs. This would not be the case for a 3 month old puppy who came from the puppy mills in the Midwest. We were told that Wednesday when questioned about the no tail that it was breeders choice. No reason was given and nothing was shown on the health papers that she claims we saw but never did. Another lie! They obviously had no idea why the tail was docked! All we can guess was that the dog's tail was injured at one point which is why it was docked. We are not the one making false and misleading claims, you are! Lies: never came in two days in a row to see the puppy before signing document (it was an emotional high pressured sales pitch); tail docking is not a common practice and can cause future health problems; health certificates were not shared. In addition, food was thrown into their cribs not in bowls. These dogs probably poop and pee on their food and then eat it. Everything about this pet store left us with a very sour taste in our mouths. My concern is for all the puppies that might not be properly cared for at this facility. It's amazing how many negative reviews you have on Yelp and never responded to. We will continue to let as many communities know how disreputable you are, so they don't fall into the same emotional trap that we did. You didn't lose over $1100, we did. You still have a puppy to sell to some other emotional buyer, so you've lost nothing in this transaction! Do the right thing! read more

I was in Wags to Riches puppy store on Saturday and purchased a item for my dog. I wasn't alone. I had a friend with me. The guy that was working at the store told me if it didn't fit her I could return it. I went back into the store today to return it because it was too small. He yelled at me that he never said I could return it. He said that he would let me exchange it. When he was finally going to return he was going to withhold the cc fee. I didn't think that was right. My name is Bonni Gross, on the afternoon 1/17/20 I purchased a puppy from Wags to Riches, located at 3200 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, Fl. During the process of purchasing the puppy the cashier (Sophie) suggested that I not take the puppy home because the puppy was not eating properly; But when the owner the store (Kim) got there, she said that she would feed the puppy and if the puppy ate, then it would be fine to leave the store. Apparently, the puppy must have eaten a little food and she allowed me to take the puppy home. My caregiver and I took the puppy home and by Sunday afternoon the puppy stopped eating. On 1/20/20 Monday morning we took the puppy to the vet and while we were there, we spoke with Kim and she instructed us to take the puppy to her vet (West Ave Animal Hospital) and she would meet us there, which she never did. After about an hour, the vet at the West Ave Animal Hospital came out speak to us in regards to the condition of the puppy, he said that he fed the puppy and the puppy was doing fine; he also said that he spoke with Kim, the owner of Wags To Riches where we bought the puppy and she suggested that she keeps the puppy until she felt the puppy was healthy enough for us to take the puppy home. We then left the puppy there and returned home. We called her Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday, but got no response, even after leaving several messages, so we decided on Wednesday afternoon to go to the store, when Kim saw us walking into the store, she ran to the back of the store, we waited about fifteen minutes before she came back out to meet with us. Then proceeded to say how sorry she was for not calling us back, but she never mentioned that the dog was dead until we asked how the dog was doing. She again apologized and asked us if the vet didn't tell us about what happened to the dog, as if she didn't know. I was appalled and in shock that my puppy was dead and no one call me. I'm a cancer survivor and four months ago I broke my ankle in two places, I'm still in recovery trying to learn how to walk again. On top of all that, I suffer from depression, I bought this puppy to be used as therapy and now my Sandy was gone. I'm back to square one and I'm feeling even worse. My puppy is dead and i'm out $5193.24. At that point, I'm very disappointed about the outcome and the way I was treated; I no longer wish to do business Wags To Riches. I've returned everything that I purchased and I have asked for a refund which Kim refused to give to me. read more

Cute little dog boutique in the middle of Delray Beach. There are so many different, toys, accessories, treats, clothes, food for your pet. In the middle, there are also puppies for sale. They say the dogs are from small private breeders in different states. They also put the type of the dog, and where they are from. Ask them lots of questions to do your research, and if they do not know the answer for you, they will find it out for you. I asked about how much one of the maltese shitzu were, and it was $2500. How do they choose the price for these sweet animals? Ask them, and I'm sure they will let you know. We ordered a nice dog tag for our little dog Mocha Coconut. We will see how it comes out when we get it in the mail. For now, this is one of those cute shops where we browse around for stuff to spoil our already spoiled shihtzu. read more

My husband and I came in today and were having a great experience discussing the puppies available and meeting them one on one; our sales associate Aaron was very kind and helpful. Once the owner Kim saw we were purchasing a puppy it was downhill; she took over the sale and the transaction morphed into a high pressure sales pitch. Even when I expressed the fact that I did not want certain items she continued to push by saying I had to have them as though they were a necessity. I've had dogs and a $170 playpen is not a necessity. She pressured us into buying several items. I left, went on Amazon and found the same items for 1/5 the cost. I returned to the store and told her I wanted to return the items because her mark up was over 5x (that's 500%), the prices on amazon. Her reply, "my mark up is normal." Pros: beautiful store, clean, fun merchandise, puppies looked happy and healthy, Aaron was professional and kind. Cons: owner is using high pressure sales tactics and while it is a business, imo she is ripping people off. Fees were not discussed; after charging my cc I saw there was a $250 additional fee for the dog. When asked Kim said it's a mandatory county fee. Charges should be disclosed prior to charging someone's credit card! Would not recommend or go here ever again. read more

We purchased a Cavapoo from Wagg's To Riches the evening of November 5, 2020. On Sunday, just three days later, we noticed that our puppy was urinating smaller amounts more frequently. By Monday, our puppy was lethargic and began vomiting. When I called Wagg's to Riches on Monday to ask about him vomiting, Kim the owner told me to bring our puppy over to Wagg's to Riches. She force fed him and when he vomited, she administered anti-nausea meds by mouth and his ears. By Tuesday, our puppy had become seriously ill. In the morning, when I texted her asking what the meds she administered were, she called me telling me I need to bring him to her vet. It is my opinion, that the vet and her seem to have a business relationship. Our puppy was diagnosed with canine parvovirus and canine enteric coronavirus, two lethal viruses in puppies that attack the digestive tract. Both Kim and her vet tried to blame our puppy's sickness on me. The incubation period of Parvovirus is medically *proven to be 7 - 14 days *Please refer to Green's Infectious Disease of the Dog & Cat (4th edition pg. 68) Our puppy was admitted into intensive emergency care at Coral Springs hospital that Tuesday. Both Coral Springs Animal Hospital and Boca Midtowne Animal Hospital have certified that our puppy was "unfit for sale" at the time of purchase. Kim has refused to take any responsibility for our sick puppy. Florida Statute Section 828.29 states, "If, within 14 days following the sale by a pet dealer of an animal subject to this section, a licensed veterinarian of the consumer's choosing certifies that, at the time of the sale, the animal was unfit for purchase due to illness or disease...the pet dealer shall afford the consumer the right to choose one of the following options: (a) the right to return the animal and receive a refund of the purchase price... (b) the right to return the animal and receive an exchange dog or cat of the consumer's choice of equivalent value... or (c) the right to retain the animal and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary costs for necessary services and treatment related to the attempt to cure or curing of the dog or cat." It's very disheartening what she has done to our family. When I called the Veterinarian office in the state where our puppy was born, they informed me they did not give the shots as the owner is a mass breeder ( possibly a puppy mill) and he gave our puppy his shots. I purchased a merle poodle at Waggs to Riches 2 weeks ago. I wish I had read the reviews of the store. What I saw were puppies in playpens that peed and defecated in the playpen and kibble was put in the playpen, not in a bowl. I think that the owner, Kim is just in this for the money. She told me the puppy was microchipped, but then I was charged $150 for it, which other stores charge less than $100. When she gives the price of the dog she should indicate the additional charges like $250 for registration and also the cost of the kibble and treat. I was also told that my puppy only needed a rabies shot, however my vet said there were one set of boosters due at his age, besides the rabies shot. In addition, although it says purebred poodle on the papers, the vet believes he is a mix. I love my boy, however I think that there is something lacking at the store. read more

I got a very sick fog here. She had two intestinal diseases an upper respiratory infection and a double ear infection. Dr Carter of Animal House Veterinary Center was excellent and diagnosed her. He is awesome! If I had read reviews for Waggs to Riches I would had seen how bad they are. They have sick puppies. They said the vet checks them I believe it was weekly. I don't think so or I wouldn't have had a puppy that is so sick! I spent thousands of dollars to buy her and they would not reimburse the almost $500 I spent so far because I didn't go to their vet. I red negative reviews about the vet and would not take her there. I still have to go back to Dr Carter to get her checked out to be sure she is getting better. I already find it hard to take so many of the restaurants directly on Atlantic Avenue serious... and now I have learned that the issues I have with Atlantic Avenue restaurants is just as bad with some of the retail shoppes as well. The issue being that too many of the businesses directly on Atlantic Ave translates to "overpriced" and "over-rated"; and Waggs to Riches is no exception. When I came in to see the adorable little mutts, I was smitten... Naturally I inquire about the cuties and get touchy feely with the hyper little rascals but my inquiries to the awfully young girl behind the register was somewhat useless. She sadly didn't really seem to know much about the mutts. I just asked simple questions (such as size they would grow to or regard to the breeds), but she just didn't know answers to anything.
