Gas prices are cheap, and I understand it's not "as great as Chevron with Techron" but I've been getting gas here all my life and my car has never broken down on me. So until that happens, I'll just keep coming. I'm very loyal to my Maverik treats, however. And will go to my grave saying they have the best road trip snacks. Cookies with an entire Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, hot cocoa, constant deals on candy bars and drinks--the occasional Cinnabon or Krispy Kreme. I promise you, whether you're craving something salty, sweet, chocolately, or sour, you'll leave a few dollars lighter and a few pounds heavier (hey, just live a little). This is a great pit stop as well, the bathrooms are always clean and smell nice. Plus they're more than a one-holer, and that in itself is a hole-in-one for me. A…read morecomplete redesign of the dining area, expanded playgrounds, renovated and modernized bathrooms, overhauled deli etc. I also observed more grab and go items, nutritious ones too. Love the new layout of the gift area and the indoor traffic flow. Didn't spend the night this time but I'm excited to see how the hotels look when renos are over! Still we needed gas so we gave it a try. We should have kept driving. While I filled up the tank, my husband went inside to get me a $1 soft serve and get a bison burger for himself. Turns out the $1 is for a basic cone but he got me a waffle cone because he knows I like them. The ice cream may have been $1 but the cone was a $1.50 up charge so my cone was $2.50. Ok He paid $15 for his bison burger to be told that was just for the burger and they wanted $5 more for fries. $20 later he came outside with what you see pictured which looks worse than hospital cafeteria food I have had, but don't worry, it didn't taste bad because it tasted like nothing. He had to put the little cup of fry sauce on his burger and fries just to give them some flavor. Also, we were parked directly outside the building where we purchased food and the guest wifi would not connect. My husband did say it worked inside but was incredibly slow. We were very disappointed in our stop here and we should have known better. Keep driving.

We decided to buy a Wyoming lottery ticket, because hey... why not? The staff was great, especially the young guy who answered our questions about the Wyoming lottery.

We had driven off about 10 minutes when we got a fraud alert for $225, charged at The Flying J. I had noticed that the keypad was pointed to the camera and turned it. Perhaps too late! I'm not sure who did this - the older or younger woman behind the counter. I could not recommend this place due to the security risk to your credit card or bank account! Beware!! I hope the owner sees this!
