We love stopping at this Maverik on our plentiful road trips from Wyoming to Utah. It's in a convenient location right off of the interstate and right in the hub of various restaurants and stores. Gas prices are cheap, and I understand it's not "as great as Chevron with Techron" but I've been getting gas here all my life and my car has never broken down on me. So until that happens, I'll just keep coming. I'm very loyal to my Maverik treats, however. And will go to my grave saying they have the best road trip snacks. Cookies with an entire Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, hot cocoa, constant deals on candy bars and drinks--the occasional Cinnabon or Krispy Kreme. I promise you, whether you're craving something salty, sweet, chocolately, or sour, you'll leave a few dollars lighter and a few pounds heavier (hey, just live a little). This is a great pit stop as well, the bathrooms are always clean and smell nice. Plus they're more than a one-holer, and that in itself is a hole-in-one for me. I would give this Maverik zero stars but that's not an available option. I have stopped at this location many times when driving thru Evanston, but I will never stop here again. Besides being small, not enough gas pumps, not enough restroom stalls, and always out of hand soap and/ or paper towels... they recently sunk to an all time low. They placed a giant advertising sign out in the middle of the yellow striped area of the parking lot that is for wheelchair loading and unloading. Also for ALL customers to have a clutter free entrance and exit to the store. When my hubby moved the sign onto the sidewalk up next to the building. The night manager ran out and tried to put it back!! Hubby said "that's against the law. You can't put anything there." Red haired manager - "Corporate told us to put it there!" Every other Maverik I've been to lately has the same sign. But always up against the building near the chopped fire wood or the bagged ice freezer. This is the only store who thought corporate told them to violate ADA laws, then had the nerve to yell at a customer trying to help them be more compliant with laws. Having this walkway clear provides easy access to their building for EVERY customer. I mean who wants to trip over a giant sign trying to get in or out the front door? Want something better to do with your time than running out and trying to put giant signs back into spots where it's against the law? Try wiping down your sticky counters. Try mopping your sticky floors. Hand soap in the restrooms would be nice too! read more

Despite being recently remodeled inside, this older Maverick station has some drawbacks. The gas pumps are outdated and often crowded. The men's room has only one stall, one urinal, and a hand dryer, but no paper towels. The newer Maverick stations are a hit, but this one is a miss for me. read more

Maverik Adventure's First Stop - Maverick - Convenience Stores Near Me - Evanston, Wyoming

I hate to be a cliché and play into their whole marketing schtick, but this particular Maverik location is definitely the place I go when I'm on an adventure. Maybe, it's adventure's last stop? Or the last stop I have before I go on an adventure. Located super conveniently off of I-80, it's the perfect place to go in and get a beverage, grab some last minute real-world (non-dehydrated) food before hitting the trail, or just fuel up before heading off down the road, and into the brush. It's well-stocked, with the massive fountain drinks, lots of fridges, snacks, and something that I was just introduced to: The f'real machine. It's like a shake maker, where you buy the ice cream, customize the thickness, and put the thing in there to swirl about. I have no idea if it's good, but I do know that it looked fascinating. I hope to visit more often, because nine times out of ten, I'm in Evanston on my way to a hike, campout, or other adventure, and they've got those little extra splurges or sweets that I need. read more

Astonishingly clean, well-lit, well-stocked. And great bathrooms! An employee was busy mopping up the wet snow people were tracking in to prevent any falls (snowing four days before summer -yowza!). Maverik Adventure's First Stop - a car parked in a parking lot - Convenience Stores Near Me - Evanston, Wyoming

Stopped in for gas at this place last 4th of July holiday. Fueled up on the way up to Bear Lake, Idaho and on the way back. When I got my credit card statement, I noticed in addition to the charge for my fueling there was an additional charge of 38.36 on the same day. A similarl 38.33 charge occurred on my return fuel-up. This place is running a swindle where your credit card info is captured so a waiting vehicle, most like a fueler, then gasses up an amount judged to be able to be overlooked on a credit card statement. I would suspect that while Maverick isn't involved, a shifty employee(s) is, so I would avoid this place despite the cheap price of gas there. I got one of the charges reversed but Maverick refused to credit the second, even though there is no way my Toyota Corolla can hold 65 dollars worth of gas at 2.52 a gallon. read more
