I used to think Wagner was adequate at best but then they took my weekly pancake suggestion into consideration and now I'm living the dream

The grounds are well-maintained and beautiful on the campus of Kean University. I attended an…read moreindependent authors expo to support my favorite former high school teacher (who is now a children's book author). The area where the event was held has a huge parking lot. The signage was a little confusing as far as instructions to/from various buildings. So, I did get lost, twice lol but it did not bother me. I was happy to explore my way around until I found the correct site. Although the event was held indoors, it happened to be a gorgeous day outside re: weather.

Horrific curriculum for the nursing program. I was accepted i to the pre BSN . I am already a nurse…read moreand wanted to get my BSN. They accepted 30 transfer credits which at first sounded great low and behold the catch was it's mandatory for you to take 12 credits each semester so I would basically have to commit minor in some science field, such as forensics and basically graduate with 50 extra credits that I didn't need. I was awarded a 2k scholarship for my good grades at my previous school. The second downfall was no one knows what's going on even the staff working here. On the orientation day it was a mess. They have students doing what senior staff should be doing. Registering for classes here is a NIGHTMARE. The platform they use is horrific and outdated. I have ultimately chosen to not attend the school and I will be going to the Nightingale school. I would never recommend the school to anyone. I don't care if the price is cheap cheaper it's not worth your sanity.

This University is easy to navigate. The name of each building is located on the buildings. You can…read morealso find a campus map. For those who need directions at hand simply log onto their website and use their Campus Map. The Hepburn Hall building is probably the building one uses the most when you first start. Here you'll find the admissions and bursars office. Buildings on campus are all walking distance. The athletic building is about a block away. Parking on campus can be a hassle at times as it can get full quickly, especially during evening classes. I recommend parking down the street in their West Campus lots. Shuttles run from 7am to 11pm continuously so no worries on walking. Yet, the walk is only about two blocks. A great perk of this university is the online student access. On their GothicNet you will find your personal information such as class registration, billing etc. Here you'll also find a library, computer lab, cafeteria and book store. Definitely had a great experience with this university and am proud to say I will always be a Gothic Knight!!

The new buildings and facilities are nice. The theater was gorgeous and the professors really get to know you if you make an effort. The price is decent if you want the best arts program right outside of NYC and there are a lot more options for commuting with the addition of the light rail. If you're looking for a school you can afford, but are living near NYC and can't afford NYU prices, you can't go too wrong here.

In addition to having the ability to walk across a gorgeous campus, there is access to a local rail-trail. The professors, both tenured and adjuncts, at the university care about sharing their knowledge with students while encouraging class discussions. If a student needs extra help, professors go out of their way to be helpful and the tutoring center is a great resource. I found the student body to be welcoming, friendly, and passionate about learning. There are a number of student organizations on campus and activities to participate in. For example, I co-hosted a radio program on campus. There are also interesting lectures that take place on campus. I highly recommend enrolling at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
