She provided me answers to my more basic questions like: What do you usually get to in your 8hr/9hr/and 10hr packages? Cost of packages? Shooting locations? She also went above and beyond at giving me a sense of more in-depth aspects of her work; she was able to send me a post of work she had done at both our wedding venue and our reception venue. Finally, when I requested some time to prioritize nailing down my venue before photographer and asked her to follow up in late January, she was one of three photographers out of 15 who actually did follow up! She has an attention to detail admirable in a photographer. We did not book Erica because we decided to go with a photographer with a slightly different editing style, but I would have no qualms encouraging friends to book with Erica. No wonder she's been in business since 2006!

Ben was my photographer for the charity event that my boyfriend and I held earlier this month…read more(Child's Play Charity Event at Desserts on the Boulevard.) It was pretty awesome of him to do it somewhat last minute, and I really love the photos he took. There were a couple of me that were kind of unflattering angles but I am also probably the most self-conscious woman to ever live so I probably should have mentioned that. He's really good at capturing people in the moment which I think is awesome especially for the event we had...there are lots of great photos of my friends laughing, hugging, or just chatting and looking over the raffle prizes which are great. My only regret is that he couldn't be there for the very end of the event when we were presenting the raffle prizes but that's about it. He also added a lot of special effects afterwards in photoshop which I really liked (saved me the trouble of doing it myself to auto-correct the bad lighting in the raffle room) but others might not like that sort of thing so if you hire him just tell him what kinds of photos you'd like for your proofs and whatnot. I'd definitely recommend him for your next event!

We've been using Emily for pictures of our son during his first year. I wanted 3,6,9, and 12 month…read morepictures, and she was able to let me create a package that worked for what we wanted. I had shopped around quite a bit and her prices were really fair for what we were asking. There are definitely other photographers out there with lower quality work that are charging a lot more. So far we have done 3 and 6 month pictures and they are great. During our first session my son was really fussy since he was teething and hadn't had much of a nap that day. I thought for sure we wouldn't get many good pictures because he was in such a bad mood, but Emily was able to catch him smiling, and we got a lot of really cute pictures! When it was time for our 6 month pictures we had scheduled a time to meet at our home for the shoot. Again my son was having a hard time getting a good nap in, I called Emily and asked if it was possible push back 30 minutes in the hopes that we could get at least a few minutes of sleep in so he wouldn't cry during our whole session. She was really flexible and told us to just call whenever he woke up. He was able to get a good solid nap in and we really appreciated the flexibility that day. And again the pictures were amazing. She has really been able to capture his personality and us as a family together. I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for a photographer in the StL area. She has done a great job capturing our son's first year so far, and I can't wait for our next 2 sessions. We wouldn't hesitate to book more sessions with her in the future!

We also had specific compressing needed for the end results but Henry let us know that he would also provide us the high res images. The entire experience was phenomenal.
