The previous owners of this place made it a great boarding experience. Their are new owners and it is not the same. IT IS UNSAFE. I never write reviews, but I took my three dogs there and all three came back injured. One my 4 year old husky is still kennel restricted from his injury after 5 weeks. The worst part is they were unsupervised and no one can tell me what happened to him. The owners were very rude when I dropped them off. When we went to pick them up there were many dogs playing outside and no one was on site. read more

I have used this kennel several times in the past and thought quite highly of it. When I dropped of my dog to stay for one night Aug 15 the place smelled pretty bad and I had second thoughts about leaving him but had to. Five days later he started coughing, went to vet they said he got some kind of crud, gave pills to reduce cough, cough stoped now he's lost his appetite and seems really sick. My husband and I decided to adopt a young pitty on a whim. We found out just days later we needed to go out of town for a funeral. We panicked a little because we could not take her with us and she was mostly untrained at this point. We called our vet and they recommended calling Wagon Wheel. With only a couple days notice, we were able to reserve a bed for our new pupper. We went down the following day and checked out the facility. Everything was clean, the whole place smelled nice (I had no expectation, I have never used a boarding facility before this). The rooms the puppers stay in are large and warm! They have a nice outside yard that they get timed play in. The food is included unless your fur babe has a special diet. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly! I will definitely be using Wagon Wheel again!! read more

We've been so pleased with Wagon Wheel. I've come to the determination that the best way to determine whether or not your pups are treated well is to ask the dogs themselves... and when we ask our two whether or not they'd like to go to "the Ranch," they're packing their bags before we say another word. Wagon Wheel has kennels big enough for our two dogs to board together, and each kennel has its own doggy door with access to the outdoors. In addition, they have a huge fenced in field where the dogs get to leave the confines of the kennel for supervised playtime. The staff clearly care about the pups and greet our dogs by name whenever they arrive. We'll miss Wagon Wheel when we leave Alamogordo! read more

We have been consistently taking our dog, Havoc, here for 2 years. He loves it! As soon as we pull into the parking lot he is so excited to jump out of the car and greet the employees. He doesn't even notice we are gone until we get back. They have always been informative and friendly with us and Havoc. When we told them we were moving they even asked if we'd stop by with him to say goodbye. Also, Cassie is a groomer associated with them she is very reasonably priced, has flexible times, and does a great job! I highly recommend this pet ranch and Cassie's grooming services. read more
