My daughter-in-law also called Panther in advance to confirm the booking. No car ever showed up and, when she called Panther after waiting 15 minutes past the scheduled pickup to get an estimated ETA, all they could say was "one of our drivers will pick up the trip." Thankfully the hotel was able to suggest another company to call. That company was able to get a car to the hotel quickly enough to make the train, but we will never rely on Panther again.

Then the same driver turned up 1hr15mins (!!) late to collect us from the wedding. When we arrived at our guesthouse we told the driver we didn't think we should pay for the taxi since he was so late both times. I opened the door to get out and the driver hit the accelerator so hard that the door flew back on its rails and came off the cab completely. He sped out of the village with my wife and I still in the car and with the door missing. I had to reach over and pull the hand break to stop the vehicle. We got out and I called the police to report what had happened. When the police arrived I can only assume that the driver lied to them as I WAS ARRESTED ON ALLEGATIONS OF ASSAULT, read my rights and held in a cell in the back of the police vehicle. I'll add at this point that I have never been arrested, do not have any criminal record and do not spend Saturday nights frequenting police vehicles. After 45mins-1hr in side the cell the police established that I had been wrongfully arrested and I was released without charge. The service of this company was shockingly bad before this incident happened. The incident itself proves that they are employing a dangerous, untrustworthy driver who should not have a taxi license.
