Really enjoyed this place! The ambience was great and we obviously over-ordered but the food was great. The hibiscus fresca was really tasty but I would not recommend the passion fruit cooler. The cauliflower small plate was amazing but the side salad missed the mark a little and was a lot larger than I expected. I ordered butternut squash, plantain and grilled chicken tacos. All of them were great but I preferred my friends fish tacos to my chicken ones. Definitely get the plantain ones those were so different and delicious! Very vegetarian friendly.

Plantain tacos and steak tacos. Hibiscus and classic margaritas.

As a Californian and avid lover of Mexican food, I came here with low expectation (it's London, you don't come for the Mexican food), but I was throughly surprised. It's also a chain in London, so even more reason to set the standards low. My boyfriend and I shared the plantain and the steak tacos, salmon and crab tostadas and a chicken quesadilla from the street food menu. They were all quite delicious. Great flavours and just the right amount of food. Although, I don't think I will get the tostadas again. The toppings were great but it was basically on a stale tortilla chip. We had the churros for dessert and a hibiscus and a classic margarita which were both delicious. Save room for the churros. I would definitely come back here for some happy hour margs with the ladies as well as a yummy dinner. Also, service charge was not included so the service was better than average London.

I wanted to give 5 stars but.... the loos are horrendous! I get the gist, they wanted to make it authentic. Well played I felt like I was in a Mexican suburb. Now: the michelada is delicious and cheap, the food is well priced and fresh, the space is simply amazing and staff is professional. Totally worth stopping by.

Not the friendliest or attentive waitstaff. Have come multiple times, and have been treated with the same disrespectful attitude

REALLY fresh tastes from the fish tacos (properly served with pickled cabbage) to the pork pibil to the sweet potato side and the frijoles.

We shared a big plate of taco ingredients and tortillas. It was all very good and the good news is that with the variety there was something everyone liked. The space was chill and upscale while also feeling trendy. The drinks were also nice, mostly margaritas. In the end, nothing really stood out enough for me to remember or come back for if I wasn't in the area, but it would probably make my easy list of places that won't disappoint near the office.

Unfortunately, Mestizo charges per person and the minimum and maximum is two for this item So I couldn't order for one without paying forty dollars , and I'd be damned to pay that much. Having this rule is ridiculous. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant forcing you to order something that can easily be portioned to one. I ordered a marinated chicken with rice and beans. The beans were out of this world. Such a unique flavor I definitely was not accustomed to in the states. The rice was unfortunately bland. The chicken was marinated in this red sauce and was tasty for the most part. However , when I made my way to the center it became dry and had a weird taste. If you're gonna order this dish, proceed with caution. The dessert really outshined and redeemed my visit somewhat. I ordered the tres leches cake. This dessert is basically like a Mexican version of sticky toffee pudding. There are many overlapping factors. One key difference is tres leches uses a milk and cinnamon base , so it kind of tastes like a horchata cake.

Man oh man, where do I start with this place?!? After attempting a second visit to Dishoom and we…read morewere met with an hour+ wait, we walked back down the road and popped into Breddos because we saw tacos and ceviche advertised. WHAAAAAATTT?!?!?!? The spot is pretty small and intimate with smooth music playing for you to snap your fingers to while chatting all night long. They were pretty busy so they offered us a seat at the bar where Simon, the bartender, greeted us warmly. We perused the menu with big eyes and salivating mouths. We started off with drinks - I got a pink drink that was similar to a jalepeno margarita but better - looks like pepto bismol but was SO good, friend got agua refresca which also had a hint of spice - SO GOOD. Now, let's get to the food! First round we ordered chips & guacamole, pork belly chicharron and the tuna sashimi tostadas - absolutely divine. The pork belly was perfection, crispy outside and soft inside and the tuna was amazingly soft! Next round was 'Nduja esquites (fried corn) and the pumpkin & cauliflower barbacoa - meals like this make me realize I truly could be a vegetarian. The plating of the food was absolutely beautiful and we loved watching the head chef Raul and his sous chefs work. He is so serious about his craft - focused, determined and the food is served with bravado and love. Next time over the pond, I definitely plan to pop in here again! Who knew London was such a foodie's paradise?

Second was the fish taco. Lightly battered with a stunning mayo and lovely pickled cabbage to balance the flavours. The best of the lot (and it was a tough choice) was the pigs head quesadilla. The meat was on top rather than inside which threw me to begin with, but once I got stuck in I didn't care. My god. The actual quesadilla itself was UNBELIEVABLE. Cheesy, soft in the middle with a crispy edge, just delicious. And the pork and pickled cabbage combo on top was out of this world. I could have eaten 3 quite easily. My mezcal negroni was lush. Not discernibly different from a normal, well made negroni (a good thing) and I enjoyed it a lot. Service was excellent and friendly and dishes came out when ready. Place itself was very buzzy and cool, great atmosphere. Quality lunch at a quality restaurant.
