I usually pop in to Fresh n Save to grab Chinese cooking ingredients such as rice cooking wine, soy sauce, noodles, rice, green veggies, tofu, and herbs. The price is very competitive with the large supermarkets close by, and you can be guaranteed saving a few pennies here for sure. Lots to see and find in terms of international flavour, and is always a delight to expand my Asian cooking skills with the products I discover at Fresh N Save. The two checkout counters are usually busy, but try to shop during off peak hours, and you shall find you won't have to wait long at all.

OK, maybe not a bucket, but quite a lot. Mahadeo's is a spicy wonderland; it smells amazing, and it has aisles and aisles of spices, dried herbs, lentils, and other bulk food items like flour (including rice and chickpea flour). I can often be found wandering around here in a daze overwhelmed by all the choice. There's also a fridge dedicated to different plain yoghurt and paneer, as well as freezers with chapattis, rotis and the like, and a small range of produce - mostly things more difficult to find in other greengrocers like turmeric, small eggplants or curry leaves. If you're not sure of where something is, there's always someone on hand to help you out, and pro-tip: get a samosa if they've got some in the warmer: you won't be disappointed.

Walked around the area and found this place for coffee. This a very neat and islander place to relax. It was a grocery store with pre packed food, fresh veggies , fruits , groceries and loved the fresh breads. Baked daily wow. We got their cold coffee latte and it was excellent. I didn't try their sandwiches because I just ate breakfast buffet at the hotel. It such a cute place in a quaint town. Recommended for a quick snacks and refreshments .

I know this could happen but when I emailed them on the 5th informing them what happened I would at least expected a reply from them if all. Will definitely not get my support in future.

It smells like home and they have food and sweets that remind me of home. Whenever I'm homesick, I head there and buy a packet of jelly tots and biltong just to comfort myself. It is the place to go because African food has distinct flavour that cannot be found elsewhere, I go there with my mum to buy soups, spices, custard powder, pro nutro, impala and sweets. I love everything there and each trip we walk out with creme soda and simba chips. It's a little taste of home.

I wonder what our Great Grandparents would think about all the packaged food we eat these days, I'm sure they would think we were crazy, just look at your trolley next time you go to the supermarket at your trolley full of packaged food. Anyway the location of this supermarket is pretty convenient as its accessible to a number of suburbs and has easy motorway access, I mainly come during the week when its nice and quiet thank god, as I'm sure in the weekend it gets pretty busy. I also often grab a coffee from the expresso coffee stand, I do wish that they had coffee cup holders in the trolleys. I do think also from shopping at New World and Countdown that Pak n Save is the cheapest and its good if you don't mind the packing at the end. They also have a convenient fuel station next to the supermarket and you can use the discount voucher provided on your receipt. I still think the petrol should be cheaper though considering its self service.

These are superb places to pick up some cheap vegetables or frozen dumplings to supplement your general groceries shopping. Or a kick-ass curry paste you can't read the title of. Well placed between New Market and Royal Oak, hopefully the small shopping area it sits in starts to grow again. The staff are timid but smiley. The big negative of this store is the meat section. Its malodor keeps you away from half the store. If fish smells like fish, it's not fresh. If the fish isn't fresh, then what about the hanging duck or pork chops? There are plenty of Asian treats here (and bad English translations). If you ever need mass amounts of soy sauce and rice you know you can always come to a place like Greenlane Market Place.

Shortly after it's opening I went in, it was a supermarket of sorts, mostly Asian orientated but still had lots of fresh fruit and veggies. I decided I would do a shop here as their prices seemed very cheap so I was curious to compare. I bought a whole heap of fruit and vegetables as well as some dumplings and pastes and noodles etc. At the checkout everything came to around $30!? It was so cheap! Their produce was lovely, the only irk I have is that it isn't stored correctly, for example fruits and veggies that are best refrigerated weren't and I feel they could have been even better if they were stored properly. Other than that this place is great and I can see it become a regular of mine if I ever need to pop in somewhere quickly for a few things. The people in there were really helpful, some don't speak English but there seemed to be a few around that could help.

I know my household is not the only one who will miss them but they do get mad busy sometimes so I imagine their flash new shop will be worth the wait. The thing I love about this place is mainly the fact that the family that run it are so friendly and hardworking. I also know that anything I buy from here will be good - if it's not perfectly fresh and tasty, they don't sell it. Everyone has had those times with the bad bag of kiwifruit or floury apples or whatever, but if that happened here they would be so embarrassed and no doubt give you your money back. It's that kind of place; they CARE. The pricing is excellent and I've seen them help people carry their stuff to the car, give free pieces of fruit to cute littlies and genuinely be a cornerstone to the Balmoral community - it's like the pub for busy mums; if I haven't seen someone in a while, odds are I will run into them here.
