Using my sat nav just to try find a grocery shop and I passed budgens and as I was trying to find a safe place to turn around I happen to find Tesco which to my delight had a big car park which was sign posted very well! So I got a great spot next to the entrance and at first grabbed a basket as I knew this was a small store but just going down one aisle I then decided I needed a trolley as there was more items you can get through this store! I ended up doing my whole weekend shopping which was great for me as I didn't have to venture anywhere else and the queues for the till was very short and staff were very friendly!

The cheese/pickle/tomato sandwich turned out to have green/blue mold on the tomatoes. The serving staff member was very nice and replaced it with another, but at that point we didn't exactly trust it. The odd thing was the staff member did not seem surprised by the mold, so perhaps it's a regular occurrence? I am really amazed that Sainsburys run such a low quality cafe, obviously they have a very poor manager, who should not be in food service. I am hoping not to have food poisoning following the visit. I strongly advise against eating there.

A huge organic selection. A whole shelf of tea. Racks of dried fruits (I am not addicted to dried figs), nuts (cashews!) and I even found jars of sunflower butter here...which is surprisingly good and a good alternative to peanut butter (which they also have). Fantastic ethnic cooking section chock full of sauces, ingredients, grains, rices, beans and any element you probably need, spices, decent bakery with breads, rolls, pitas, etc. Eggs and dairy, beer, wine, a lot of coconut water, and a fresh produce section (outside) which is standard, but nice to have. Things you won't find: fresh meats or fish. Par for the course! The family that runs it is very friendly as well (always so polite!) and I always leave feeling quite good about supporting a local food shop that is not only convenient, but tucked away from the madness of the Old Street roundabout. Also, English grocery stores aren't laid out the same. For example cookies might be in multiple locations rather than one designated "cookie aisle." Also it was interesting because you had to pay for a shopping cart. They did have a limited number of hand baskets. If they ran out of hand baskets, people would use the bags they brought and add there items into the bags. Then remove them when they got to the counter. It was nice because there weren't long lines, and they had a lot more self-serve kiosks than my local American grocery store.

The family and I were vacationing in South Kensington and this store was ideally located. It's a grocery store that has all the essentials... and more. And by "more", I mean seemingly random stuff like an aisle of non-branded shirts... and a convenience station which apparently provides shoe repair? Item selection for things (particularly vegetables and fruits) seems a little sparse. But admittedly I'm a tourist so perhaps that's expected for the area, climate, and time of year. Checkout is slightly disorganized (again, probably a "tourist ignorance" thing). Recyclable bags are available for pickup on a rail while walking through self-checkout. There's an automated gate that requires a receipt barcode to be scanned before exit is permitted. Ultimately I think this is a store that's 90% grocery store and 10% variety store. Nothing wrong with that but it was just a little surprising.

The Food Hall has a good selection of groceries, I like the overall modern and cool set-up which makes it easy to find whatever you need. Being a smaller store, sadly there is no Cafe or toilets inside. The staff seemed friendly enough, there could have been more of them around the shop floor, but I understand the difficulty right now in the current situation. 4* - A nice Marks and Spencer store in Chelsea.

Every time I stroll in there to pick up an onion they're out of stock. It's uncanny. That's one reason why I choose to go to other local grocery shops like Paamir Super Market. They never run out of food and all of their stuff is quality. I don't know whether it's organic or not, but you can tell that the fruits and vegetables you pick up from here are way better quality than Sainsbury's; they're brighter and they simply look more edible. The prices are generally cheaper than at huge grocery chains as well. You can get four avocadoes for a pound here and a three tonne bag of rice for a fiver. I'll trade Sainsbury's shopping for this any day.

The store was clean and well organized. The shelves were stocked up nicely and like I said they have a good variety of items that they offer. If I need anymore items on my trip I will definitely be popping back over to this store.
