But when I first visited this store, I was very impressed. The store almost seems too big for the number of customers, there always seems to be plenty of room to get around. The selection of non-food products is extensive, although I still am very choosy about what I buy, & closly inspect the quality of items (particularly clothing). I get the impression that this store isn't as busy as it's size requires it to be, so there seems to be a higher percentage of discount/clearance lines. We've used this store for christmas shopping over the last two years, & I truly believe we've got excellent value for money.

I bought many groceries here, but they also had clothes, adapters for my tourist self, makeup and personal care items, liquor, magazines & books, tons of electronics and related items, home goods items, baby items, gifts & the cards to go with them, and toys. Plus I saw offers of cell phones & plans at checkout, seems they also have check cashing and other currency services. I personally used their ATM located just outside the doors millions of times to get some dinero. I found all the prices to be reasonable and workers were always quite friendly to me. They have a nice self checkout! Definitely my go to shopping spot while in Milton Keynes and I know I'll have many more visits when I return later this year. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. It's not a huge store, but helpfully it's open 24 hours a day, although you do have to fight your way round the shelf stackers at night. Generally it's pretty well stocked, apart from the odd days around the major holidays where you can find the shelves dreadfully empty. There's a pharmacy, which I've never used, a Tesco Direct counter which works just as it should. The photo shop is always having their machine break down but when it's running the service is actually very good. A word of warning, there's a café tucked away upstairs at the far right of the shop, very easy to miss. I would definitely give it a miss, the breakfast is truly disgusting, and the coffee machine seems to be out of order whenever I go there. It's clean and tidy though.
