These two ladies knocked out a bevy of beauties with time to spare. I gave Angele free reign on my locks but showed her a few updos with braids woven in that I liked from Pinterest. She masterfully executed a seemingly effortless do that didn't feel overly sprayed and stayed in place all night. She never seemed rushed during the process and while I'm not tender headed, was very gentle. I also applauded her for whipping up our friend whose hair is borderline Rapunzel-length into a sleek, clean style in record time. I grew envious of the beautiful makeup that Chris was applying so I asked her if she would just be able to do my eyes. While most girls went with a more natural look, she gave me a smoldering (yet tastefully sexy) eye that looked great with the updo. Her eyelash application is that of a ninja because there is no way I could put falsies on that quickly..ever. She never gave me a hard time about wanting to do the rest of my makeup myself, and I really appreciate that. Both women were efficient, sweet, and did a wonderful job. If any of the bridesmaids requested changes or fixes to their look, they were happy to oblige. The cost for me was $60 for hair and $40 for makeup which I tipped 20% on top of. While I wouldn't be doing this for just any day, totally worth it for my friend's wedding!

POC BEWARE! I had a…read morepretty bad experience today. My stylist was Tommy. He began by mentioning how curly my hair was after he washed it. He spent all of 5 minute cutting my hair before he started blowing it out. He said he would cut more after blowing it out. Inferring my hair was so unmanageable that it was necessary. I have wavy hair, just above my shoulders. I've never had a stylist not be able to cut my hair while it was wet. He then began aggressively blowing out my hair, constantly hitting my shoulders with the styling brush. I finally had to ask him to not be so rough. I left with hair all over me because he made no effort at all. Barely said a word to me except to take off my glasses. I am a person of color and the only thing I can't infer from his behavior is that he was disgusted to work on my hair. Too bad, I really wanted to like this salon as I live two blocks away.

They were also perfectionists -- Jennifer custom-blended my extensions to perfectly match my real hair, and both spent a lot of time making sure that everything was perfect before I left. The result is that my hair looks absolutely amazing! After I was done (at around 9, since they stayed open late to see me), it was taking the cab forever to get there, and both of them waited with me for over an hour and called multiple cab companies until the cab got there. Jennifer was even ready to drive me and my bike home if the cab hadn't shown up. Overall, GO TO THE PARLOUR. Hands-down the best salon experience I've ever had.
