To this day it's her favourite salad dressing and we try to buy a case (of 12) twice a year! They have an excellent produce selection, seafood, cold cuts, and cool sauces and house brand Farm Boy brand + and excellent bakery! I've noticed they have boned up on prepared foods and have one of the biggest selection I have seen on K-cups for Keurig! It's really a shame we couldn't have FB in Montreal as it excels at providing a different yet fresh and cool selection of different products! This IGA - aside from being amazing in all the ways I described in my original review - seems to be setting the standard for how to properly operate under the current conditions so I wanted to share in the hopes of other grocery stores following their lead. When you arrive here, all the doors are closed except for one and when you enter that one there's a portable handwashing station like you'd see outside portopotties at a festival. So everyone is washing their hands as they enter. Then they are given a cart which has just been wiped down by the staff. Staff are also circulating wiping down the handles of fridge doors etc. Cashiers are using sanitizer between every customer and as you leave your cart is immediately wiped down again. This loving attention will save lives in our community and I really really appreciate it.

The meat ball plaque indicated $9.99 for meat balls-there was no mention of price for Italian sausage outside what I saw was $5.00. There was no admit or apology of wrong pricing or confused pricing. He says the $5.00 pricing was for some canned goods. I do believe that the customer deserves the right to have items more clearly priced-I would not have bought this item at this price plus I incurred additional expenses including another trip to the store. Shopping in Arnprior is sure becoming more challenging - incorrect pricing, competitive pricing and lack of inventory.

This is yet another grocery store in St Jovite / Mont Tremblant, this one is not among the 3…read morebiggies along the highway but instead is tucked on the sweet little main street Rue Principle, near the Bourassa and across from a bakery and just steps from the rest of the cute restaurants and shops in town. The Metro feels way more like a family grocery store than the ginormous Super C on the highway and if I need to pick up a few quick things after working in the Couleur cafe I'll pop over here. The produce and meats and fish seem fresh, though I'd love to see more of an emphasis on local sustainable providers. Fish in particular should always be clearly marked with its origin since this industry is so dirty and problematic these days. The staff are super friendly and bilingual for the most part, and again this grocery has a surprisingly good selection of local microbrews and then the usual SAQ wines. All in all a great option in the area!

I did want to update to add that they have an amazing big smoker that sits in the parking lot smelling crazy delicious. There is a small area in the butcher section of house smoked goods - we tried the trout last week and it was just so flavourful. We chatted with the gent in charge of the smoker and he said if you call a couple days in advance you can get a whole fish smoked for you, or a cut of local meat. Later that day we were at a tiny community festival in the park, and a few people from the Marché were there giving out free bites of waffles, and they recognized us right away from earlier in the day and said hi and made sure we'd remember their names for next time. All this to say, long live small town grocers!
