They were not available in all colors, but I scored two bags of this lovely brown mulch for just $1.50 a bag and also two bags of stones for just $2.00 a piece, rather than $3.66. I know that is not a huge saving, but with the 11% back, it makes for a nice little treat. I have a thing for mulch, soil, compost and rocks. When I am having a tough day, I wander through my local Menards and find things to add to my garden. This particular location, located near Madison, WI is almost entirely indoors or at least covered outdoor sections- which is helpful on a hot, rainy day like yesterday. It had sales in so many end-caps, too, like random things marked down considerably although I couldn't always tell what the item was. This location is very clean and well organized. Super well stocked in all the departments that I visited. I will come back next time I am up in Madison.

Unbelievably terrible customer service. We purchased 9 new windows and screens in November 2024…read more The windows were installed in April 2025. Five of the sashes were defective and 7 of the 9 screens did not fit. In mid June, they brought replacement screens; NONE of those fit. A week later they brought the replacement sashes; again NONE of those fit. Not only was the product defective, but their customer service is ATROCIOUS. They do not return calls, they do not provide information about when the problem will be remedied. These were Anderson windows and they keep trying to say the responsibility rests with Anderson, although we made the plans with Marling and wrote the check to Marling. At this point we have not had fresh air all summer. They are saying that windows and screens will be delivered at the end of August. Their website speaks about their wonderful customer service and the great products they use and stand behind. We experienced not of that. We were disappointed a local family business was so awful to work with. Do not do business with them!!

Encountered Jeff J, he writes up 2 "quotes" the proceeds to order the wrong door. We are told they make the doors themselves. WRONG!! They use a company right in the town that I live! We told Jeff we came in from Milwaukee to purchase from them. Do you think he could have said hey the door is made there, skip coming back here and the gas and pick up there? NO! We go back to Janesville, get the door come home only to find out it's the wrong door, he ordered the wrong size door! We call and get no where except to hear him say "ah huh, ah huh" We had enough and talked to Scott Bower the Manager he talked to JEFF and Jeff calls us back to say that he will order us another door AT COST!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! We said YOU SCREWED UP JEFF! He would never admit it! We said we can take you to small claims and then he talked to Scott his manager and said they would get us the correct door. We found out that we can pick up the door ourselves right in Milwaukee where they are made, NOT MADE BY MARLINGS!!! I called the owner TOM MARLING who questioned why I was calling him and I explained the whole story and he acted like he didn't believe me. He called back to say that JEFF made a mistake writing 2 quotes, Tom said he was sorry and I said we wasted gas driving to Janesville to get a door that was MADE in Milwaukee! He offered us a gift card for our troubles and I said so what we can come and spend more money at your store?? I don't think so! Bottom line....READ THE QUOTE THAT JEFF WRITES UP...HE MESSES UP AND NEVER SAYS HE'S SORRY ONLY MAKES EXCUSES! ASK WHERE THE DOOR IS MADE~IF IT SAYS WESTERN IT'S MADE IN MILWAUKEE, WI.
