She did not have training to teach the class but her boss said she could lead it. She did a wonderful job. Kaitlyn was professional, personable, very fun and knowledgeable. The owner and the lady she was training were both incredibly nice!! We were the first customers of the day and it was the training person first day so we got to chat with them both. First you get to select the vessel which she has tons of options! Then you get to pick your scent. You can simply pick one like use or make a scent of your own! Then you learn how to do it, clean you vessel, pick out your dye and make a candle. The process was easy, fun and simple. Our candles turned out amazing and we have already burned them once we got home from vacation. You also get a drink while you are there which was a nice touch. We did do a little extra shopping. I am excited to try my wax melts. I must also say I admire this owner. This is not something I have seen before and is a fun experience for for date night, girls night out, friends date or what ever you want to make it. Not only that but she was offered the shop on Christmas said yes with out knowing what she was going to do! She has been open since Feb of 2024 and she is killing it. They have a great variety of vessels at decent prices for your candles as well as the scents and colors for your wax. They have a couple of cards around that show you what scents work together. A couple of gals in our group weren't huge fans of the smells they put together, so she let them re-do/re-mix, which was so appreciated. The only downside is that it's a bit small. Everyone took home the centerpieces, they just loved them. I stared at the bouquets and centerpieces and could not believe how such a brief interaction, a couple of e-mails could have allowed their team to create arrangements of my dreams! Each time we visited, we'd always leave with something fun in our bags. Often, our purchases were gifts to others, proudly advertising the store's name. In fact, one of my husband's favorite gifts was a beautiful vase I bought from their store. We truly loved Rustic Mountain Charm and the memories we shared their. Sadly, today is the last time we EVER step foot in that store. My family, as well as my two siblings and their families, walked into the store to do some keepsake shopping. My husband and I had our eyes on a few items, and my children were looking for something as well. Apparently, the staff and owner felt that the items in the store were not to be handled and were for admiration only; despite the many "Try Me" and "Sample Me" signs strategically placed all over their store (candle samples, lotion samples and etc.). Furthermore, my children and niece were told to keep their "grubby hands" off the stuffed hand puppets. Keep in mind, my children's actions were no different than any other patron who had walked through the door. In my opinion, if their toys are not meant to be touched by children, they would be better off to place a "No Touching" sign next to the toys or avoid placing them where they are intended to grab a child's attention. I don't know of any child who wouldn't want to pick up their toy before buying it! Not only was the staff rude, but the owner himself was confrontational and offensive. To be honest, we didn't even realize he was the owner at first as his mannerisms and attitude were highly unprofessional. The whole experience was disappointing and gave my children unnecessary worry and fear... even our six year old understands that people shouldn't behave this way. As we left, my husband and I put back the items we were going to buy and promised the owner, that despite our years of patronage, he would NEVER get another dime from us! Fortunately, the items for purchase in Rustic Mountain Charm can be found at most other souvenir shops in Estes Park or online.

I was having trouble finding it, but after explaining what I was looking for, the employee took my right to it! Then after I paid, she wrapped it beautifully and I gave it to my friend as an early Christmas gift so she could use it during the fall weather! Can't even say how many texts I received from her: "I LOVE it"!!!! I think a person can count on finding something they will love from here!
