This is the kind of mall you'd see in a movie. I remember going to this mall in high school and college and it was one of the coolest places to be. Fast forward to today and it is still a cool place AND most importantly, it still is open with a bunch of new stores. I think what makes this mall special is the collection of things it has in and around it. The restaurants here are all really good if you need any ideas for dinner. The stores are all good size and there's a movie theater. That's my main reason I have been there a lot recently. It is a huge mall and they're open early for folks just to walk around before stores opening. There really is something for everyone at this mall and I am glad it's still open and continuing to keep improving with new stores opening up. read more

I wanted specifically to review the exceptional changing room in the food court. I was amazed at how cool it was. Easy to get the stroller in, a nice secure table and a sink. A curtain to hide without having a door to go through (awkward with a stroller) and a curved glass block wall to let in light. Great. The rest of the mall is nice, clean, easy to get around with lots of store. This place is huge. Dave and Busters is fun. escalators are pretty easy to find (again the stroller). Bathrooms were clean and can accommodate many. Good variety at the food court. Large parking lot surrounding the entire mall with many entrances. Easy access from the highway, dedicated entrance from the I-190. read more

The galleria mall never fails me. Haven't been in a few years and today it felt bigger and much more improved than what I experienced over last few decades. They are modernizing it slowly but surely with small upgrades and a handful of new stores. You can pretty much park anywhere and walk in from one of the storefronts. Parking is relatively easy. I usually hit up Best Buy or Macy because I always find one that isn't terribly far. Selection and value is slowly improving. I'm finding that the prices aren't sky rocking upwards via inflation, cost of goods and tariffs like other parts of the country. I also found myself finding a lot more interesting things that I don't have access to / aren't sold in Cali. Only ended up with a few things and I was generally happy with the service. It didn't change my life but I appreciate their thoughtfulness and patience read more

I visited this place with my family while we visited buffalo from Toronto. I really wanted to visit this place as there was Primark inside this and since i have lived in UK so i loved Primark for good quality products at very reasonable price. The mall looked fabulous. It was nothing like malls in Toronto. It gave me a feeling of a high street rather than mall as it was long rather than wide. The inside was very beautiful and since it was a week day so it was almost empty. Free wifi was available at the mall and also almost at evey shop. Went through entire mall just to have a look around and finally went to Primark at the end. Primark was not as big as it is normally in UK and the choice of products was limited so i was disappointed. I wanted to buy makeup stuff but there were limited options. I bought three pair of shoes for myself and one for my daughter as there was good variety of shoes. Bought a couple of shorts for my daughter. The service was pretty good at Primark. It was a good visit and i would recommend everyone to visit. read more

Went from Canada to USA especially to visit Primark at this mall. The mall is great. I have not seen any Canadian mall like this. It is designed like a high street feeling rather than a mall. The selection of brands is great. It is a huge mall with a variety of options available. You can definitely everything you need in a mall. The food court is great. There is halal option available at food court like osmows. The Primark was not the biggest as I have visited Primark in UK before. The choices were limited but i was happy to visit it anyways as it was nostalgic. My wife bought a few shoes and dresses. The service was great and workers were very friendly. The value for money is probably similar to Canada as we have to pay the currency conversion plus the foreign transaction fee as a Canadian. The mall was not busy at all although it could be because it was Monday. Overall experience was great and would love to visit again. read more

Went to the Galleria to walk since it was cold and raining outside. It's a great place since it is so big, you're not walking in a rectangle with all the corners and hallways. Not a lot of people around from 9 am until about 11:30, mainly just walkers. The stores don't open until 10 am. You can't access the mall through Dick's Sporting Goods until 10 am. read more

This is a very big mall compared to the malls that we have in Canada. It's my go to place to visit whenever I cross the border. The mall has an in and out style layout. There's a decent selection of stores and lots of other activities in the mall as well. Food court doesn't have a lot of good choices but there are restaurants that are located within the mall, such as The Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's and more. read more

This has become the last standing "true" mall in Western New York. Still contains most of the big name department and retail stores, and a functioning food court. Also plenty of other activities (Dave and Busters, Urban Air Trampoline park, etc.). One of the only LEGO stores in the region. Stars off for reduced safety. It's not uncommon to see/hear of fights or other issues especially on weekend evenings. If coming during the day or during the week though, it's still a fun place. read more

Bad that the best buy sign is over the upper level entrance where jack astors used to be. The Best buy is actually on the other side and other end from that entrance. It must be very very challenging to be a mall owner these days. With Covid mall traffic has dropped drastically, largely of course because they were closed for a while. But even though that are open again it still isn't that busy, which is great if you want to stop the spread of Covid but can't be fun for the store owners. The small is no exception. It's just not as busy as it used to be. But it does remain clean and well-managed and well lit and has easy parking. I look forward to the day that it's more crowded. I still won't come that often, but at least the stores will have enough business to keep them open. Update 108 2021 read more

My friend and I decided to check out the mall just to see what stores survived with almost four months of closure and COV19. First, for the most part walking through the general mall area people wore masks. In Macy's, saw a few individuals without that had them down, little disappointing. The mall may have purchased the required air filters, but unfortunately mall patrons didn't really follow the directions to walk one way not both. Social distancing is only half observed and not really enforced by anyone, just posted signs. As we all know, since the mall reopened their were issues. My best advise use your own judgment when visiting this establishment. Stores/ restaurants no longer in Galleria: The Walking Company, Lucky Brand Jeans, Bare Minerals Boutique ( shocker), Park Avenue Coat Company. Bravo Italian Restaurant closed, which my friend and I were shocked but not surprised. If you don't go by the entrance and just walk by you would think Bravo was still operational, as napkins were folded on tables, and silverware was still out. Bath & Body Works recently opened back up, was at one in Erie,PA and how it worked was masks required, you selected your bag size, bring it to the register and they cash you out and staple recipt to bag. New York & Company is closing all its physical store locations, by the end of September. Sadly, that will be another smaller well known womens store gone. They didn't have their fitting rooms open, and closing sale discounts range from 30 to 80% on clarence. Gordon Birsch even though it had closed pre covid 19, along with Bar Louie still had a menu posted. If your from out of town and read the review, make sure you check the actual directory of the mall prior to visiting stores or restaurants. They may have a few stores slated to open, but with the pandemic, things can change and evolve rather quickly. read more

Many big stores are gone but that is true of everywhere. Still has many relevant name brand stores to sell t from and is probably the only true mall left in the area. I love coming to this mall I also use this mall as a training area for my service dog. There are a lot of great and exotic stores to stop at and the employees in the stores I went in are absolutely amazing. They have urban air, Dicks warehouse, Regal, Dave and Busters, Cheesecake Factory, 5 wits (which is a blast I've done all 3 room and all 3 rooms are handicap accessible which is great) there is a wide variety of of shops and restaurants so you can find what your looking for. read more

Came here twice (2 days in a row) on our mini-vacation. This review will only be on JC Penny and Box Lunch with few statements on other shops as those were our most recent visits. The Galleria mall in general is a huge mall with ample parking (free of course). They have all the regular/known retails and Buffalo local indie shops. There is even a movie theater inside the mall. Dave & Buster's for game night. Food selection has typical food court but also various restaurants attached to the mall- so there are good options. Cheesecake factory, 5guys burger joint, high end steakhouse and even a Brazilian steakhouse. Great selection of various ethnic cuisines (Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican and that Brazilian steakhouse). Reviews below: 1. JC PENNY The first visit was on Saturday to JC Penny for photos. Our friends convince us to do family photos and couple photos (which I had always secretly wanted but never done as it seemed "tooo american" of us. Didn't make sense when I don't have kids to take photos for those holiday cards). Easy process to check in and wait to be seen. Seems like they are running behind. 2 rooms with 1 photographer in each room. There was abit of a wait as we saw another family ahead of us. We had 10:30am appointment and was early. Seems like they overbooked as more families came and one came super early (an 11am appointment that came 15min early). It was getting crowded and kids getting antsy. Finally, photo time had some minor hiccups as kids were antsy and done with smiling lol. After photos, the waiting area was super crowded with families that we wanted to leave. Some of us (including me) didnt like the crowds (still Covid time) kept asking if we could pay so we could get out as we didn't plan on ordering any special prints (canvas, etc) and only wanted digital prints (access to all pics and can decide at later time if we want any special prints). After awhile, we were able to view photos, pay and get out. 2. APPLE Stop by the Apple store as hubby of the friend had an appointment to fix his airport. Was abit of a wait so we decided to walk around and browse. Saw Santa getting ready for his station and he was kind enough to greet/make small chat with the kids. They were so excited to see Santa (super early). Went looking for AUNTIE ANNE'S for pretzel time but they were closed. No one was manning the booth and the only thing on was the slushie. No warm pretzels for us and kids were sad. Distracted them by taking them up and down the escalators until it was time to go. Afterward we left to return home as it's nap time for everyone . Sunday, came to browse for souvenirs and sightsee. 4. 5 BELOW Great deals and larger options than the ones in NYC (Bensonhurst + Gateway locations). Was able to find certain trading cards for card game we've been looking for. Also was looking for candies. 5. BOXLUNCH Was looking for the trading cards and didn't find any here. We did see many amazing deals and more anime stuff. Ahh love boxlunch and was there was one in NYC. Closest one is in NJ and Staten Island mall. Decided to order stuff on the website to ship home. 6. FYE Had so much cool merchandise which also included much funko pops and anime stuff. They are known for the games, music and movie stuff. No trading cards tho. We are on the hunt for a certain game trading cards. 7. GREAT ESCAPE ADVENTURES Large toy shop that have games (board, card, puzzles, etc) with accessories and also included pokemon/yugioh cards. Went looking for the One Piece trading cards but didn't see it. Very cool place. After 3hrs at the mall, we decided to return and get dinner stuff for game night with friends. A fun, and rather large, mall in the Buffalo area. They have a tons of shops and restaurants so it's easy to find something for everyone. It has a clean and welcoming vibe to it, with directories throughout so you can see what they have to offer if you want. We wondered around and took in everything. We really were just looking for steps and to kill some time since we were scheduled to fly out later that day. They have a section that we lovingly deemed to be 'nerd row' as it has a ton of nerd / comic / anime / gaming shops all lined together. It was fun for us to pop in and out of those to see what each had in them. Overall: A A clean and decent mall with lots of stores and restaurants. read more

There's a decent selection of stores and restaurants and parking isn't terrible usually. If you're trying to go to one of the restaurants, parking can be more of an issue. They do offer valet parking but I'm not typically inclined to want to do that. Some of the new additions (like 5 and Below) add an additional level of convenience. The food court also has decent selection so if you're there with a group, typically there's something for everyone. I have found that some stores open late or close early, which can make planning difficult. On the whole however, it's a solid shopping choice. read more

I like this mall, but rarely come to it because I actually prefer the Boulevard Mall. My son & I came here because he needed to exchange 19,000 Yen for American money. We walked around a bit , went to the food court, there were some decent restaurants in there, but the "Souvlaki Brothers" was very disappointing ,because they did not have Steak Souvlaki. I would've eaten from there if they had. The variety of stores is great as I'm sure everyone knows. They keep it quite clean there. The only store I actually bought something in was the "As Seen on TV" store. (Prices were freaking outrageous there) I only come to this mall if it's for something in particular, or if one of my boys want to go there. I like the way it has the 2 floors of stores though. Lots of cool things about this mall, but unless it's something I can't get at the Boulevard Mall, I prob won't go. read more

I am a huge fan of this mall and I'm always surprised to see negative comments. This mall has everything you need for a good weekend: shopping, dining and entertainment! Shopping: spend a lot or a little; there are many stores with different price points and styles. There is something for everybody! Dining: first, there is the typical food court with familiar chains like Burger King and Subway, and your other typical options like Chinese food and Philly cheesesteaks. Additionally, there are lovely restaurants to choose from as well (and I can attest; their food is delicious): Bravo!, The Melting Pot, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, Texas De Brazil... or head on over to World Of Beers .. very hip place on the weekend to enjoy some food and drinks and music. Entertainment: Regal Cinema, 5 Wits, Escape Room, RPM for the fastest go-carts ... endless fun! Great place to spend the weekend when the snow wants to keep you inside as much as possible. read more

I have been to a number of malls in my life and I am happy to say that Walden Galleria is one of the nicer ones I have been to. Very brightly lit, accessibility for those who need it, and good, open-air design. I also like the setup of some of the major restaurants (Cheesecake factory, for example) and the movie theater. Plentiful parking also. The place reminds me a lot of Orland Square Mall in Orland Park, IL. Looking forward to shopping here again when I come back! read more

Not overly impressed. It was a Friday around 6pm when I arrived, stores were already closing... on a Friday?! I did find a Lululemon and was able to purchase what I came for. It's a decent sized mall and would've rated higher if everything wasn't closing or closed. I think I'll try the outlets next time. read more

It's a pretty large mall. I like it. Has every store that I need, and most offer either a military or student discount. The movie theatre is nice. Big food court. And the surrounding property has some pretty solid restaurants actually. Much better than the Boulevard Mall, which is dead. read more

I've seen a big improvement in this mall over the last few years. I love the Cheesecake Factory here, (even though Toronto has one now), but be warned - come early, or be prepared to wait a bit. It has some good stores that we don't have in Toronto anymore, like Express and BoxLunch (cool store with TV show and pop culture swag). There's even an edible cookie dough store! I like the JC Penney, Macy's and Lord Taylor department stores to browse around in...there are always deals to be had. I'm so glad this mall has gotten back to being a decent mall to spend time in on my trips to Buffalo! read more

Yo i truly enjoyed shopping at this mall so much to offer. I spent an hour there with my daughter. Everything was great

Really nasty and inconsiderate crowds that frequent the Mall. A few people threatened to assault me numerous times. Was there over two weeks ago and noticed an employee mopping blood from off of the pavement. I asked a person standing beside me what had happened. The person told me a security guard was stabbed to death at that very spot the night before. There were no broadcasts of the incident on the TV news surprisingly. Must be a common occurrence maybe. read more

The biggest mall in the area. Nice size food court with many different restaurants. This mall has other restaurants that is just across the parking lot as well as a few restaurants downstairs inside the mall itself. The stores range from medium prices to high-end. Like any other mall their is no longer a Sears department store. It's hard not to find and be satisfied in finding what you need here. read more

My wife was looking for a dress to wear for her up coming birthday. We decided to eat an early dinner at home and then go to the mall to look for the dress. We went to Macy's first to look for the dress but didn't have any luck. We decided to check the mall for other stores that might have a dress she liked. It was now 6:50 PM and as we walked through the mall we noticed stores closing their gates and doors. Apparently much of the mall now closes at 7:00 PM. With other large anchor stores such as Lord & Taylor's gone, along with such inconvenient hours for shoppers who work during the day, competing with online merchants is looking more and more unlikely. Online shopping and Covid hours may be the last straw for the mall. read more

The Walden Galleria is probably the best mall in the area. It's my go-to mall! I come here not only to shop, but whenever I'm bored (which happens a lot), when it's too rainy to do anything outside, even when I want to play Pokemon Go (there are a few stops and gyms inside). Some of my earliest childhood memories are at this mall, so safe to say I've been coming here for a very long time. These days I frequent their awesome, often inexpensive clothing stores (like H&M and Forever 21), media shops (FYE, Best Buy) and their newly remodeled LUSH store. I'll walk around the expensive stores and dream that I could afford all their stuff - and peruse the sale racks, of course. I've never been a fan of their food court, but I have noticed that the options have gotten a little better over the years. There are also a few places to dine, snack, and chill around other parts of the mall. Can anyone say Starbucks?! Not only is it a great place to shop, but there are dozens of means of entertainment for adults and children alike - there's a Regal Cinema here, an escape room and an 'adventure' room (5 Wits!), also a go-kart raceway and a Dave & Busters. There was a time a few years ago when this mall started attracting reputable brands but that's no longer the case. These days it's full of discount no-brand shops and Buffalo themed places (a mind boggling trend - can you imagine being so unworldly and basic as to wear a Bills Mafia shirt????) I watched the owner or manager at the Galleria Starbucks sitting at a table they use behind the coffee bar. He was smoking an E-Cigarette and trying to hide the smoke. I have a picture of him smoking and him letting the smoke out while working on the laptop with another person. This is against the law and it is unhealthy for children or others sitting in this area and the mall. I have seen him here very often and he should go outside for his smoking. read more

This is probably one of the better, cleaner malls in the Buffalo area. I went to the Eastern Hills Mall when I visited Buffalo for the first time and was quite disappointed, but the Walden Galleria is MUCH better compared to there. They have a wide variety of shops here, with a pretty decent-sized food court. There are always a bunch of people during the afternoon hours on weekends and holidays, so it's best to come earlier in the day if you want to avoid the crowds. Also, after the incident they had here, they require adult supervision for teenagers after certain times of the day (I think it was after 7 or 8pm?). They don't have a Disney store here, so for Disney store shopping, you'll have to go to the Niagara outlets. The Regal here is a good option for movies since it's spacious and has reclining seats. read more

It's got to have been at least 7 years since I've been to Buffalo. And mannnnn, alot has changed since then. Change for the worse LOL. There's really not many stores worthy to visit here. Esp considering the CAD-USD exchange rate... mehhhhh, even the sales don't make up for the rate. But, esp if you're coming from the GTA, this mall does not compare at all quality-wise... It's a lil ghetto and run-down and old. This mall is also pretty empty despite it being pretty large and renovated in some parts. On the plus side, there's a Cheesecake Factory here... and you won't have to wait 2 hours to get in unlike the one at Yorkdale. read more
