There is a children's playground as well with a wide variety of features like swings, climbing walls/ropes, diggers, slides, spinners, and more-- you and/or your kiddos are gonna have lots of fun here. The playground is on gravel. There's also a volleyball court with sand, and lots of open grassy space to kick or throw about a ball. Seriously excellent amenities. The trail has inconsistent surfaces-- some of it is paved, other parts are dirt and gravel. Just something to be aware of (it wouldn't work well for skateboarding or rollerblading, for example). There are a couple docks you can fish off of or just sight-see from. A wooden bridge across the lake makes for excellent photographs. There is also a boat ramp (walk to, not drive to). The parking lot is pretty large with many spaces.

Walk in and pay the fee for the kiddos. As of Jan 2026 it was $10 a kid with unlimited time. Parents/guardians are free. There is a large park towards the end of the building! It kept my kiddos plenty busy! There is seating for the adults. There is also a gym space for kids to run, balls to play with, mini basketball hoops and items for the little kids to push ride on! There is also a pool to do laps and a gym with equipment, but I'm unsure if those cost extra. You can do birthday parties here! Check the website for additional information!! The city also puts on various events (generally warmer months), from Tour de Apple Valley, to music in the park on Fridays (performed on the park's music stage, to Oktoberfest. Entertainment, fun for families, oftentimes food trucks or various vendors... come check out this great little park that is surrounded by lots of good restaurants. When my nieces and nephews were younger this was my go-to place for entertainment, but it's also a great place for the community.

It's not much in the way of hiking, as the longest path/loop is only a mile long and fully paved with asphalt, but it's got a lot of amenities that would make for an excellent visit during warmer months. This includes a kid's playground, an extensive fitness zone, a splash pad (with toilets and water fountain-- not operating during winter), a bandshell, and a sizable festival grounds. On the other end of the park (near Pilot Knob) there's a gazebo structure with more seasonal restrooms/water fountain, with a multitude of picnic tables, trash/recycling, and grills that would be excellent for outdoor get-togethers. There is parking at both this location and by the splash pad, as well as the massive lot attached to the community center. There's a couple small lakes and plenty of trees, so it's a nice little retreat (even if right across the street is a massive outdoor shopping center...).

The last two months, my bestie and I have been walking the track and participating in the water aerobics class at 7:00pm on Mondays. Staff have been friendly most of the time. This evening the gal at the front desk was a little snippy to us. We made a comment saying how the water park was quiet, she quickly replied back with yeah, can't you tell it's being cleaned? It came off kinda rude to us. Almost made us feel silly/dumb for making an observation and being vocal about it. We utilize the walking track and pool. Place is pretty clean. Water aerobics instructor and fellow participants are all very friendly. Water aerobics instructor is nice and friendly. She is always welcoming to us and thanks us for coming to class. Great class. The day pass is $10.00 each time, not too bad for drop in. I wish step class was offered in the evenings and on the weekend. Then maybe I'd consider joining as a member. Until then guest pass it is.

There's a convenient parking lot nearby…read more When there's special events sometimes they let cars park on the baseball field or dirt road leading to the farm. The playground nearby isn't huge but it has the main staples of swings, monkey bars and slides. I really like the flowers and chickens vokunteers maintain at the farm. There's also a community garden.
