Very dissatisfied and will be going to the Chase Bank Branch in Washingtonville,NY because they take the time to actually cover every aspect of what I am looking for.

I was told that if I didn't have an account I couldn't get change for a $10. Silly. Fortunately there was a car wash (more reliable financial establishment) that could make change. My response to her is are you joking I'm from out of town what are banks for? Then she gives me some kind of line about how they need to "track the money". If this is truly the policy of this bank needs to change to be more customer friendly. After all now days many businesses do not except bills larger than $20. You cannot get change for many other businesses because they do not want to carry large bills and even gas stations will not except bills over $50. So what are banks exactly for if not to do things like this?

He always has a smile on his face, and is working hard. He is very knowledgeable with all of my banking needs and always seems to be in a positive and upbeat mood. ​ He is a pleasure to deal with and this bank is lucky to have him as an employee.

We were in need of a notary on a Saturday, and the MHVFCU was the first bank of five that we called that had a real human being answer the phone (off to a good start). They had a notary available (and were open til 2 pm on Saturdays), and not only is the notary's services free for members, but it's also free for non-members! If you're keeping track, that means it's free for everybody. We walked in and the friendly tellers let us know we'd be waiting for Linda in the back, but to help ourselves to a seat and a cup of coffee. For the record, that's nicer than most of my relatives treat me. We waited for a few minutes, and then Linda turned out to be even nicer than the other employees, as well as the branch manager and probably in the top three notaries I've dealt with in my lifetime. You know what? She's #1! I just decided. The only downside of MHVFCU is that I am a bit frightened of the other clientele. It was 8 degrees outside, and my brother and I were the only non-employee males that were wearing full length pants. Sure it was only two other guys, but as we all know, nothing screams mental instability more than being inappropriately dressed for the weather.

I've used this branch of the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union for many, many, years, and I've…read morenever had any problems. They have 2 ATM's, one in the entrance, and one drive-through. They have someone at the front desk to tries to greet you if he or she is not already helping someone. They always have enough tellers available so that even if there is a line, it moves quickly. The last time I got a loan there - albeit quite a few years ago - it went very smoothly.

I came in right at closing time and needed to notarize a document for court that was occurring in 30mins. I KNOW! I forgot one document and was running like mad to make it happen. The ladies helped me with a smile and soothing words--I was STRESSED--and with efficiently giving me what I needed, even though I kept them past closing time. I WON THE CASE! I'm a current member with the bank next door to them (HVFCU) but I was denied a vehicle loan because of low credit history (even though my score was good). I waited about 1-2 months and sat with a HVFCU representative about my denial and if I should re-apply for the loan, they did not recommend to proceed with the application as it may get rejected again. So I stepped outside and looked to my right... glanced at the MHVFCU and I thought I'll take my chances with this credit union I haven't heard of before. I walked into a very nice, modern, high tech & elegant main lobby and was greeted by friendly smiles. I did not have to wait, and was immediately being assisted by Jonathan who helped me fill & submit my application and mentioned he would get back to me later the same day (which I thought would never happen). The most shocking thing to me is when he called and said that my loan was approved! A few days later I found my dream car and went over to MHVFCU to finalize my loan. I was also in a hurry to get things done but I sat with Debra who professionally went over every detail and made sure I sent her all necessary documents. Then within a matter of minutes, I managed to get a check for the car payment. Debra was amazing, she helped me get what I needed, quick! I'm so glad I walked over to MHVFCU that day.
