These stores seem to be the same no matter where we go. We came in to grab a few over the counter medical items as well as our daughter's prescription. It's a spacious store, set up identical to every other one we've been in. A bit dusty, but they had everything we needed. It did feel a bit smaller than others, so some items were limited stock. Staff was as to be expected, seems they hire the same types of people at each location. A bit stand offish, not very social. But oddly nice when you're kind to them. It's the only one in town, options are limited, so you deal with any issues that exist. Was a decent trip tho. read more

This is a comment directed at your pharmacy. I just heard from a women who had a legitimate prescription from her vet for Hydrocodone for her dog. Her dog has advanced heart issues which result in a disabling cough. I run a group of almost 10,000 people who have a dog with this issue. This medication is frequently prescribed. The customer was made to feel like she was a drug addict looking for a fix. This is absolutely horrible behavior coming from your pharmacist. She should be ashamed of herself. Educate yourself and do better. read more

The rudest and most unprofessional pharmacist we have ever encountered in our life, and certainly the worst of any Walgreens anywhere. So bad that we may never use Walgreens pharmacy again. The pharmacy doesn't communicate correctly. I went there twice without getting my prescription. The first time they said that they haven't made it yet and to come back. The next day I came back they stated that it's over the counter and that I could just come in. I have my prescription transferred because they were also somewhat rude. A waste of time. I understand that they're busy like many other pharmacies and it could be stressful but professionalism is a must I believe in most fields. read more

Walgreens in Alamogordo has been my preferred pharmacy for about 6 years. The people who work at the store have all been polite and, I believe They've done their best. The problem seems to be getting their deliveries on time and inconsistencies with their automated system. Sometimes the automated system will refill prescriptions without the need to call and place the order and sometimes it won't. Sometimes, after an order is placed prescriptions are on time and sometimes they are not. Honestly, it's a crap shoot! I have tried to be patient, because I like the people who work there, but tonight was the last straw. The automated system did not reorder automatically. By the time I realized it had not reordered automatically I only had six days worth of critical medication left. I called and placed the order manually on Monday, the order did not go through because there was some confusion about my insurance. No one called to tell me there was a problem; I didn't find out about it until I went to the store to pick up the prescription at the appointed time on Tuesday. The woman with whom I spoke was very polite. She promised me the medication would be in by Friday, but when I went to pick it up, it wasn't there. This is not the first time something like this has happened. In each case I have had to miss taking my medication because of these mix ups. It has had a negative impact on my health. I simply cannot continue to do this; I am changing providers as quickly as possible. read more

I've seen some filthy stores in my time but this one really tops them all, disgusting!! The person or persons running this Alamogordo location have no idea how to do just basic cleaning. The floors are filthy, the camera at the pharmacy is covered in an inch of dust. I brought my mother in for vaccinations and had to sit in a hallway in front of the bathrooms which were absolutely gross. Walgreens should be ashamed of themselves. Don't even get me started on the quality of the pharmacy. Rude people, no refills available even though they call and tell you to pick them up. I have never seen so much incompetence. Should probably complain to Corporate and the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy. read more

The only Walgreens pharmacy we've used that makes prescription fill incredibly difficult... call it in, "come in 30 mins," arrive 1hr+ later and not ready "but since you've arrived, we can start it. It'll be ready in 1.5hr" - they need to improve their process and lose their bad attitudes. read more

We came here for some medicine and it wasn't really busy after 8pm. The aisles were clean and organized from what I could see. I didn't really walk around since we were on our way back to the hotel from our dinner. The staff here were nice and friendly when we talked with them. We got what we were here for and had a few options to choose from as well. Parking was not an issue since it was in a decently-sized outlet area. Overall, I thought the this was good for medicine and other essentials for any time of the day since this place was opened 24 hours. read more

This is a small but well-stocked Walgreen's. They have a lot of store brands, which in my opinion are as good as the name brands but cheaper, and they carefully label each store brand and place it next to its comparable name brand so you can decide for yourself. The pharmacy is efficient and there's not much waiting. Very Good Feature: several common immunizations are offered here, and your insurance may pay the whole cost so it would be free to you. A weak point is that the checkout speed varies a lot (some people have complicated transactions, or want to argue with the clerk about prices), although they are good about opening up additional counters when things get busy. The parking lot is poorly designed and cramped and has poor visibility; it may be worth it to park farther away at Hastings and walk the extra block, just for your peace of mind. read more

After our experience on 12/31/23 you have lost us for life! You were my preferred pharmacy.....NO MORE! I use to think all the people getting aggravated with your pharmacy was just impatience boy was I wrong. You are the most inept bunch of folks you really should have someone take a look at the cluster you have in the Alamogordo store. I have never seen such lack of management to leave trainees to deal with customers as your lead pharmacist tech watching is unbelievable. Went to get a script that you decided not to fill because of no insurance, you don't call us you decide on your own accord to make this decision on my husband's pain meds! We drive from out of town since we don't live in Alamogordo and you don't have it then you make us wait and wait until we are sick of it. Well your unorganized untrained staff cost you $$$ not only did we both buy our scripts there we also were customers on a weekly basis at your store no more as the new year comes. We will transfer all of our scripts to Walmart my least favorite store to shop however they never did this to us. See ya never read more

Was in store over 45 minutes for a prescription pickup. they couldn't find it at first, but you can tell they are unorganized just by looking behind the pharmacy counter. there were 8 people working there but most appeared to like looking at computer screen. a person waiting for a flue shot had been waiting nearly an hour because the person giving shots was looking at a compute. Avoid this store if you can help it. read more

As an extra added bonus, this time they had no paper towels in the men's disgusting bathroom. Probably the only store in Alamogordo I truly hate. This Walgreens in Alamogodo charged me $40 more for that exact same prescriptions I purchased just 3 months prior at the Taos Walgreens. 25% more for the exact same Rx(s). Well I mention to Pharmacy it was a lot more, they made no effort to check whether their pricing was correct. These Rx(s) are also all generics read more

I arrived not feeling so great after being out of my medication for weeks. I found Desire and Heather to be both professional and personable. They went over and beyond traditional customer service. The store is great but the pharmacy is terrible. Seems like it would be convenient with a drive through and phone service, but it's really not. If you need to speak with any pharmacy staff expect to be hung up on repeatedly. This has happened quite a few times before but today I have called 7 times throughout the day to have a direct prescription filled but since it's a new Rx I have no choice but to speak with a person. Each time I waited through multiple callers ahead of me, while listening to their broken hold playback, and each time I was eventually hung up on. Once you get ahold of them they are fine, but this issue has been going on for a very long time and there's no excuse. read more
