Walgreens in Ashland is always a pleasant experience. Everyone is always friendly and happy to help you. Restrooms ars always clean and stocked with soap & paper towels. Pharmacy is always punctual and friendly. The store manager is exceptional and very friendly. read more

Had my passport photo taken here and it was incorrect and I was told to send in a second, so I returned to Walgreens to ask if they'd be able to fix it for me and the woman was extremely rude. She proceeded to turn the exposure up and now I am unable to use the second photo as well. Don't advertise a service if you cant complete it correctly the first time... or the second time. read more

Pharmacy experience: I walked in w three scripts which were on paper from my first ever Urgent Care visit today, where I was diagnosed with pneumonia. This is the sickest I've ever been. My spidy senses were tingling as soon as I got to the line, so I was very clear with the short, bespectacled lady at the intake counter "i've never had a prescription filled before. Please let me know if there's going to be an issue filling these three here, so I can just go down the street to a different pharmacy that can do it." I handed her the prescriptions, my ID and my insurance card. She told me there was no reason not, took all my info (even set me up for text alerts) and said thirty minutes. I thanked her and left. About 15 minutes later I get an alert: DOX + 1 more insurance issue So basically now they tell me they're not gonna fill it and the exact thing I feared occurred: I had to circle back to the bad pharmacy, retrieve my physical scripts, hunt down a different pharmacy to repeat the process ... except I just wasted all this time and energy with the short bespectacled misinformant. She truly did nothing to lessen the pain of the situation, it was just a horrible experience but completely avoidable if she just knew her s***. Update : CVS Pharmacy across the street had no issues with my Rx's nor my insurance. Bless them. read more

I have had a few problems with some prescriptions, but nothing as bad as some of these reviews. I just want to comment on something that I think speaks to a problem with pricing of non-prescription items. I was there today to pick up a prescription and buy some Neosporin, which I keep on hand for minor things. The 1oz tube costs $14.59. The 0.5 oz tube costs 6.59. Do the math. The 1 oz tube is more than a dollar over the price of two 0.5 oz tubes. I would have purchased the 1 oz, but it I'm not an idiot. I didn't want two tubes, so I just settled for the 0.5 oz tube. This is not really a complaint so much as it's calling out whoever sets these prices. It made me think that there is a reason Walgreens is closing so many stores. HINT to whoever sets the prices: The larger size is SUPPOSED to be cheaper than two of the half-sizes. That's what makes people choose to spend more for a larger size. I left thinking that only someone incapable of doing very basic math would buy the larger size tube. Rant over. I just couldn't believe the idiocy. read more

I understand that a location can reserve the right to close early for many different reasons. I was even more surprised at being told that a prescription would be filled within thirty minutes. After returning to pick up the prescription that was electronically sent in, the pharmacy closed early. Earlier than their normal posted hours with no warning or explanation. Not even thinking they would be closed on Sunday I drove to the location 30 minutes away and then had to drive another 30 to see if the pharmacy could help. To my surprise the technician explained they were the only Walgreens pharmacy open on Sundays. This location that was open was 11500 Broad Street and the people were helpful!! Walgreens you can do better at servicing your customers and community. There is a lot of sickness, accidents, major health issues that people have to have medicine for. If this is a staff concern for the location in Ashland I suggest you consider paying your staff more. Clearly look at your cameras and see the amount of people that walk out with no assistance. For safety reasons you should not have your staff stocking and changing out signs and stickers near the back of the store when the front of the store is not staffed. I will consider seeking assistance at another location or even a place that I have trusted for years, CVS. Help your community in the way you advertise or start advertising what your hours through commercials. Not too mention you have a major university less then a mile from you!!! read more

I never write reviews. Ever. I've never had this bad of an experience with any pharmacy ever. They took three days just to transfer over my prescription to CVS because they don't accept medicaid, and then told us that CVS had to call them in order to do a transfer. CVS called them over 7 different times 2 days in a row and they didn't pick up once. Only to find out on day 2 after going down there that Walgreens could have called THEM the WHOLE. TIME. On day 3, after waiting 20 mins on hold I finally got someone that had the nerve to blame CVS and say that it hadn't been done because they didn't answer their phone call after CVS had called them at LEAST 20 times. Absolutely insane. Like I said, I never write reviews. There's nothing wrong with it, they're very helpful for people, but I'm just not a review writer. When it comes to stuff that really matters though, like people getting their medication, I feel obligated to steer people out of the path of danger. These people had me wait 3 days for medication. 3 days off of medication that I need. I cant imagine being someone whose life or health depends on medication they take. So. Do yourself a favor and don't use this pharmacy. Everyone in it needs to be reported to corporate. Immediately. read more

This drug store recently changed To Walgreens and is in the very heart of our Ashland community, it's long been a popular place until the takeover and the long time popular pharmacist left. now it's a total train wreck a perfect storm of awful customer service and total incompetence. I recently waited is the only one in the drive-through line for almost 15 minutes completely unacknowledged well they helped one person after another in the window most of which came after I had been waiting there. it was only after I laid on my horn that they came and helped me and when I told them I was displeased rather than acknowledge my feelings they made excuses. no customer should ever have to sit at a window completely ignored by the service rep this is not acceptable in any industry at any time whether you're shorthanded or not no excuses just terrible terrible service. After being a long time customer for over 20 years I am in the market for a new pharmacy and if I do believe the Ashland community Facebook page most of your customers feel about the same read more

On hold for one hour - they just keep hanging up on my after 20 minutes. The one positive thing I can offer is that they are consistent.
