My friend from Ashland kept telling me about Sheetz but I have never been to one. During my last visit, he made a point to take me there to show me around. Yeah, I am a fan of convenient store with a gas station, especially I have gone to the competitor Wawa more often because of the location closest to my hotel. We came here during the day right after the busy morning commute hour on Monday. It was not crowded. I could see employees were preparing the lunchtime rush. He was buying some freshly baked pastries and they are only available at Sheetz. I am not much of a pastry person. So, I had a self-guided tour of the store while he shopped. I think I would like it next time when I visit Ashland. I couldn't tell the difference from Wawa, really. read more

GPS took us here to charge. Not sure why because there are 2 others within 10 mile radius. Anyhow 4/8 chargers are kaput. Annoying coz people had to wait. Luckily I pulled up just in time to snag one of the 4 that works. Sheetz is not as big as the one in Smithfield, NC. Same menu offered, gotta try the blended mocha. So good. I needed to charge my car and this popped up on my route. I'm not sure why the low rating. It's my first time at a Sheetz (don't judge!) and it was a good experience. They had lots of beverage and food options, four screens to order specialty drinks, burgers, pizza, and other fried foods. Bathroom was clean and they must've seen the review about no toilet paper because there were four rolls in my stall and plenty waiting around to be used. We ordered the snack sampler with jalapeño bites, Mac and cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. There's 3 of each for $6 and they were pretty decent. We also got curly fries which was not a bargain for the cost. A decent chai tea and what I'm told was a delicious s'mores latte and my car had finished charging. Decent food, space to sit, and a friendly staff made a great little break in our trip. read more

Bruuuuh, whhhhhy. I order iced coffee and somehow they made an icy. I wanted cream and sugar. They wanted me to have ice and coffee no cream no sugar. No flavor other than ew and I'm completely disappointed. When it comes to the food, dog, you pay the price of a full sandwich and get less than half a subway sandwich. I got a ceaser salad wrap. I assumed it would be a full size wrap. Idk how these mf put the wrap and give me a struggle ceaser. I never knew ceaser to be a struggle bug or struggle meal. Why is my wrap not wrapped tight or at all. My whole meal was and still is a disappointment. I want a refund. Was looking for a gas station where I could also get decent food and over the horizon came a Sheetz on my left. That was it, I needed MTO to keep me going as I still had more than another 2 hours of driving and traffic. Filled up my tank with inexpensive gasoline, took my dog for a walk and then off we went inside to order MTO. So many great choices, but I felt like a burger and fries. My food order was up very quickly and off we went. I really like the fact that you can get a good and relatively healthy meal at Sheetz that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg and gets you back out on the road quickly. Highly recommend a visit to Sheetz! This location in particular was super convenient to where I was coming from and on the way to getting closer to home. read more

Tried to get curly fries and 2 orders of swingz Sunday afternoon ... 5pm-ish. They dropped one wing on the ground taking it from the fryer to the carry out box. I was waiting 15 minutes at this point. Went out to the car to wait. Came in after 10 minutes. Manager saw me, asked fry cook about my order. His comment was 'I see him waiting there'. So, I stood around and continued to wait. 5 more minutes, another guy walks in, they seem to know him. He gets handed his wings. So I ask about my order. Fry cook gets mad and says he filled the order, it's at the order counter. OK, he said he saw me and I'm waiting at the pick up counter. Why is this a confusing situation. This totally hit the spot when I was on my way back home from a short stay at the beach. I was in need of something to settle the grumble in my stomach and I knew that I couldn't go wrong with a trusty MTO. I figured since I was getting food myself that my car needed some for her as well. Two birds, one stone, you know that saying, right? Gas prices were the norm for this area, so I wasn't worried about that one bit. Food was exactly what I was looking for and couldn't complain there. The employees inside were entertaining and made me laugh. There worked so well together. It was like a well-oiled machine. The only gripe, and this is the only one here, is that the air machine was not working correctly here. I had it on my tire, set it to the pressure I needed, and nothing happened. Or at least I thought nothing had happened. Instead of making sure it was on the pressure I needed, it just kept adding air to my tire. I stopped later down the road and found this out. Been a customer at Sheetz for years. A few weeks ago I got bad gas from the pump. Shortly after getting gas my car ran poorly and shut down. It caused major damage to my car. I reported the incident to the manager. They acted concerned and said a supervisor would call me back. Never heard anything. They would not own up to the issue and I am stuck with thousands in repairs. Not the first time I've heard of this issue at this location. I would not recommend get gas there. read more

Sheetz is great! It's like, a slightly trashier version of Wawa, though my boyfriend vehemently claims that Sheetz is so much better. I'm impartial. I do enjoy making my own sandwiches, and the ingredients are always fresh and tasty. I'm a big fan of the chicken salad on ciabatta. This particular Sheetz is well-stocked, clean, and just ever so slightly out of the way from the interstate (it's not listed on the signs on 95 South), but it's worth it. They also have a nice selection of healthier snacks, including seaweed chips, veggie chips, hummus, fruit, and more. Definitely a great stop on a road trip! read more

My husband and I stopped in around 12am, and the parking lot was absolutely filthy. Trash was all over the place, trash cans were overflowing, etc. Once we got into the store it wasn't much better, and neither was the customer service (We weren't greeted, and I even had to ask for a bag for my items). The coffee and drink station had trash and filth all over it. There was trash all over the floor around the lottery machine. We waited 10+ mins for my husbands food, because the employees were too busy joking around and socializing to focus on what they were doing. I have always LOVED Wawa subs, but my past experience at the Wawa store in Ashland, VA (2 days after their grand opening!) was VERY disappointing. I requested an Italian sub...NOT toasted....but, when I got home, much to my dismay...not only had they toasted my sub, but the roll was BURNT! (My wife requested a toasted steak & cheese....but, hers was burnt, too!) I would hope this store will may an attempt to do a better job in their performance in making subs. read more

We always hit Sheetz when we drove north from VA Beach. We stopped here around 10pm to get food and use the restrooms. Well the stall with the changing table in the ladies room was out of order and taped shut so my husband had to take the baby in the men's room to change her. I attempted to use the facilities but there was no toilet paper or paper towels so I didn't bother. We ordered sandwiches and walked around, the store was disgusting. Trash and spills on the counters and floors, it looked like they hadn't cleaned or wiped a counter in 2 days. We got to the car and opened the sandwiches and ended up throwing half of them away because they were doused in so much mustard they weren't good at all. One Italian sub had oil and vinegar but there was so much that the bread was soggy and falling apart, mind you this was minutes after getting it and opening it in the parking lot. I will definitely make sure to avoid this location on our next trip, I've never seen such a dirty Sheetz or had a sub par sandwich from their other locations. read more
