I came from out of town and I needed to get a quick script fill during my stay. I didn't have any issues with long wait times as others are complaining about but this review is based on a single visit so take it for it's worth. The girl behind the counter needed her adhd script refilled I think as she was just jumping and hoping around like a squirrel on crack. It was entertaining to say the least. The store is bright and clean, with everything laid out coherently. On a side note there is a Tesla supercharging station in the parking lot for all your quick charging needs. read more

I want to recognize Aaron for his incredible professionalism and grace during my recent visit to Walgreens. While he was checking me out, a bystander began berating him over an issue that was entirely out of his control and could have been resolved with a little self-initiative. Despite the unwarranted confrontation, Aaron remained calm, polite, and focused on assisting me efficiently while doing their best to address the situation even after being shout at to "f-ing suspend her transaction and get your f-ing a- to the back" which was shocking to hear an adult conduct themselves in such a way in public. His ability to handle a stressful moment with such poise reflects his dedication to excellent customer service and professionalism. Everything! The Pharmacy could be a case study in what not to do in customer service. In my experience, the Pharmacy staff is often condescending when asked questions and/or confuse information; misread information on their computer screens, severely lack attention to detail, not knowledgeable, unhelpful and rude! Furthermore, the Pharmacy hours are not customer friendly and at times are closed when they are supposed to be open. Either management does not care and or is oblivious to the plethora of problems. Everytime I go to Walgreens, whether to the pharmacy, to get over-counter items or LabCor, I have found every employee to be helpful, friendly and professional. The store itself is always super clean and well organized. One time, an elderly lady's car stopped running on the road in front of the store. The manager went out and pushed her car into the parking lot, then helped get the car started again. That was kindness above and beyond. read more

We relocated to Boone 10 months ago and, since the Walgreens pharmacy where we lived was excellent, we transferred family prescriptions to the Boone location. Maybe it's the aftermath of Covid, but service here is slow, there is often limited register staff, I've observed rude behavior from apparently overworked pharmacists, they are frequently closed during normal posted business hours, and lines are often long. Three times now though, prescriptions I have transferred from Walgreens to another pharmacy have turned out to be significantly less expensive at the alternate pharmacy. I don't understand why. But I gave Walgreens ten months, but I'm moving all of our prescriptions to a more reliable and professional pharmacy just down the street. read more

This review has nothing to do with the pharmacy at the Boone location. The employee at the front register, wearing a Duke shirt, who rudely identified herself as a manager is a big problem. She could not have been more uncooperative in solving a simple customer service problem. In fact, she seems to pride herself on this flaw. when I return to my local store in Wilmington, the friendly employee there instantly helped me. The "manager" at the Boone store is a discredit to the Walgreens brand, and to any academic institution she wears on her chest. read more

I have never received adequate customer service from the pharmacy. They fail to contact me any time there is an issue with a prescription. I have received several prescriptions with other people's information and the wrong prescription on the bottle. From observing the technicians, I have many concerns regarding the sanitation of the pharmacy, handling of medications, and hygiene of employees. Due to my insurance, the only way I can afford my medications is through Walgreens, but if given the choice, I would have them filled at any pharmacy in Boone but this Walgreens location. read more

They not only kept us sitting waiting for an hour amongst all the sick people picking up prescriptions but then the person who came out to do the shot was extremely rude --just called out our last name, told us where to sit, stuck us and said you're done handed us the cards with no eye contact and no words and walked out leaving us there. -- just rude. read more

After having surgery, the pharmacy was not able to competently fill the pain med prescription for more than two hours AFTER I arrived for pick up. Then, days later on a Friday when additional meds were needed, they told me they did not have any in stock and we would need to wait until Monday. The first statement in the pharmacy oath is to relieve pain and suffering, but this pharmacy does not value that as they offered no other options. After I continued to ask questions, they "found" that they DID have the meds in stock. While I was pleased that we got the meds, this was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced, never going back there. read more

Pharmacy is frequently not adequately staffed at register and drive in. If you order Rx online if more then one Rx you will receive text that Rx is ready for pick up but when you show up at the pharmacy only a partial order is ready and on multiple occasions I have been asked to come back in an hour.I asked a drive in clerk why this kept happening once and his response was they were aware of the glitch in the system but did not know when it would be fixed. i agree there is one pharmacist who is rude and could care less about customer service. I hope to switch to another pharmacy at the end of the year and I am sure many more customers who have experienced the same lack of customer service will be joining me. Pharmacy staff can be rude and not helpful. My allergist prescribed a formulary which is available otc gets generic and I have frequently filled in past. Female pharmacist very rude condescending said my insurance wouldn't cover, which is false. Further by using good tx coupons medication is significantly less expensive. Tried the Walgreens because the customer service at CVS is so bad. Well... the guy who was helping me had my med and was in the middle of entering my insurance info in the computer when he noticed a car drive up to the window. He just put my stuff down, walked away without a word to me, and called over his shoulder for someone else to finish helping me so he could help the car in the window. Apparently, that car was far more important than the person he was already helping. Way to make a customer feel appreciated. Do NOT recommend. read more

The store is nice and most of the pharmacists are great but there is this one pharmacist thats so rude and condescending and doesn't want to give you the time of day and It's every time I go in there. He talks to me that way in person and on the phone. I've seen him talk that way to every other customer. The store is nice, but the pharmacy suuuuuuuuuuuucks. Started using them a few months ago because they bought Rite-aid and every interaction I've had with the pharmacy has been negative. People on the phone and at the counter barely tolerate your presence. Lines are long because they aren't staffed well enough to handle the new extra business. They repeatedly lose orders and fail to have common meds in stock. This would be forgivable if they seemed to care, but they don't. This is what anti-trust laws are for. read more
