My experience there yesterday was incredible, I left with the perfect sunscreen, 2 candles, a birthday card, and the birthday gift perfectly wrapped in tissue paper! They'll call the day before to tell you wants up and what to expect. I missed all that part. My bad! Don't wear any jewelry. Don't take a huge purse there's NO need for it! Wear comfy open in the front kinda shirt, slip on shoes the whole nine. No metal hair pins either. They helped me with all of it none the less. But here's the clincher for me. After my final exam before surgery Dr Moore prayed with me and for me and for him and for a positive outcome!!!!!! Did you hear that? He prayed!!!! Hallelujah Jesus bless that man!!!! I so needed that. Anyway the anaesthesia person was great. The nurses were all great. I can't believe they can get up this early and be functioning at such a crazy high brain capacity .... as to make these wonky boobs into great art pieces .... it is beyond me!!! Well, I went to sleep for a while and woke up groggy. Obviously. But the pain was managed so I was fine. They told my husband all the things before we left and the rest is history. Cons I had given my insurance information to the front desk when I booked the appointment but when I got there I was told they were out of network. I was sitting in the chair with a bib on surrounded by three people privy to my personal hygiene preferences (see pros). It was awkward and I wanted to run away so I did. I didn't actually get any work done as I have great insurance that makes cleanings free! TMJ In addition to a cleaning appointment I went for a TMJ eval. Dr Poss has a lot of advanced equipment and software for treatments but I felt like he couldn't help with my specific symptom. I also felt a little judged by my symptoms like they weren't "normal" but I'm sure anyone reading this with TMJ can attest that there isn't anything normal about it. In the end I also decided to look elsewhere for TMJ treatment due to unfamiliarity with my symptoms and insurance drama.
