The Downtown Nashville Walgreens. In my estimation, this is the one and only Walgreens in Downtown Nashville that is accessible to Broadway. Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco,and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." Worst pharmacy location that exists. never open on time and wont have your prescription ready

I appreciate the convenience of this Walgreens location as a downtown resident; it's nice to have one within walking distance. However, the spotty customer service makes me hesitate to recommend it at all. I've been here numerous times and experienced really rude and unprofessional service (e.g. I've personally been and seen others be judged and berated at the photo counter when picking up items "late" i.e. within a week or less of placing the order). Sometimes customer service has been nice or fine, though (e.g. one time the photo department called me when they found my photo order, which I appreciated - since when I went to pick it up the first time, they didn't find it). I return here for the location only, but I wish for a more consistently cordial (if not friendly) and efficient experience. read more

Centrally located to downtown. So when you are on a business trip or vacation and forget or need something you normally have. At home, this is the place to go. There was also plenty of types of beer but no wine or spirits. You need to go to a liquor store for that. The service was friendly and it was clean. read more

You might be tempted to look at this Walgreen's and think "Ew" because it looks a little grungy from the outside and there are frequently some questionable characters hanging around outside (although there does seem to be a security guard stationed outside frequently, he is usually more focused on his phone than protecting and/or serving) but don't let that fool you. Inside is a clean and calm oasis. I've been here a couple of times while in town on various occasions to pick up club soda or toiletries and have always been impressed by how organized the store is. Shelves are full and aisles are clean. The checkout staff is friendly and efficient. There was a line last time I was there but they kept it moving. I give this four stars. read more

Pick up orders at my local Walgreens is a hellish, nightmarish experience every time I go to pick up an order. There's an amazing deal on toilet paper and I couldn't get anyone at home to go my local Walgreens. I decided to place an order for toilet paper at the Walgreens near my hotel. My boyfriend was not too thrilled at the idea. My order was ready in less than an hour. Walked over to the store and stopped at the photo Dept. Gave them my name. The lady gave me my order and she was friendly too. I was in the store for maybe 2 minutes. I wish my local Walgreens store was well run like this location. read more

Walgreens - two bags of toilet paper - Drugstores Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

This Walgreens saved my butt. I was on s quick trip to Nashville and accidentally left my toothbrush at home. Ah yes, you know that terrible feeling when you're just about to wrap up for the night only to discover your sloppy packing missed the most important item of all. Luckily, this downtown Nashville Walgreens was located only a few blocks away and had just what I needed. I would say it was only slightly tougher around the edges with a fair number of people hanging out for the heat / to get warm from the outside cold. Also, the floor plan was a bit confusing with the toothbrushes and dental products on the opposite side of the store from the other healthcare-like products. I searched and searched and finally had to ask for a hand. The orientation of the checkout line also made the customer line back up into the store in an odd way. My final takeaway: hallelujah for pharmacies in the heart of downtowns. read more

This Walgreens is closed on Sundays, closed on Saturdays, and in this summer of BLM protesting, it closes quickly whenever protest crowds are at the Capitol in the evenings. Almost all nearby shops also close and board up their windows/doors, so there is really nothing to buy in this area during that time. They are not at all concerned about COVID or social distancing here, if you're an anti-masker. The clientele are confused sunburned tourists, loitering parolees looking over their shoulders, and not much in-between (except me I guess). read more

Look at that classic storefront atop downtown's Arcade. It must be the oldest Walgreens in Nashville. The spirit inside is timeless though. I've had 3 great experiences with the characters who work here but today, Maria is my new favorite employee. Picture an older version of the grandma from TV's "Family Matters" with the personality of John Travolta's character in the movie "Phenomenon", but way spunkier. She was working at the makeup counter register today and I needed her to unlock the glass so I could grab some overpriced razor blades. This woman had already won me over as I listened to her send off the customers before me, radiating sunshine out of every pore of her skin, just so happy to be at "work" interacting with people. Each word spoken with GENUINELY positive inflections through a smile that never stopped. What a jewel! As she scanned my Axe spray, she told me I should pick out another one 'cause they were buy 1 get 1 half off... "You should get,,, EXOTICA!" she said. "that's my favorite!" I picked up the bottle labeled "Excite" and asked if that was the one... It was :) There were several other cute little moments following that glimpse into what she must do when she's not ringing people up (smell deodorant?) ..or maybe that's the scent her man wears.. my point is, I had another consumer experience today that gave me way more than what I paid for. note: bonus material is available for this review.. stuff I can't say on Yelp that happened with some other characters in the store that day. The worst Walgreens I have had the displeasure of visiting. Service was awful and it's not a 24-hour so no pharmacy on the weekends.

This Walgreens was the only one close to my hotel in SoBro. I had to stop by to buy some water and random toiletries. Everything was clean and organized, and prices were not jacked up and on par with other Walgreens locations. The cashier was very friendly, the friendliest cashier I ever encountered at a Walgreens. The block this Walgreens was on seemed a bit sketchy, 2 men tried to hustle money from us outside. So definitely try to come when there is still daylight out. read more

So I don't normally review places like Walgreens but I've never had any memorable experiences whether good or bad until now. I'm in town from the West Coast, in town for a week and my micro SD card unmounted and is corrupted. All I keep thinking about are the hundreds of photos of my dog that may or may not be gone forever. Depressed, I walked over here from the Westin early this morning to grab a new micro SD. Veronica at the photo area was incredibly helpful and friendly! I purchased the new card and asked if I could pop it in right then to see if it worked and she said it was okay. This allowed me to also cool down--even at 7am the humidity and heat here slays me. Everyone was very kind and smiling--aside from my Lyft drivers and baristas, this has been the first kindness shown to me in this city. Thanks for a good experience this morning! I see that some reviewers felt it was unfortunate that Wags is closed on Sundays but until you present a need for them to remain open on such, probably not going to happen for awhile. And I'm totally used to every single Walgreens and grocery store back home being open 24/7. Recognize where you are though! Is your $20 purchase or less going to be worth staffing on a Sunday?? 2013/054 I noticed the Walgreen's on West End had my headphones on clearance and quickly bought their last few pairs. I then decided to try this one to see if they were also on sale (they were). Unlike the West End location, this Walgreen's had their headphones locked up in cabinets behind the register. Looked around and noticed only that it had a larger refrigerated food section than the West End one, probably to cater to any business worker who wanted to eat prepared sandwiches on the cheap. Closes early, which I've come to expect, considering how Nashville's downtown area is devoid of people compared to other cities. Not a place I'd go to unless I worked here, which is another reason why they have more limited hours. read more

I went to Walgreens in search of a SD card for my camera. To my great fortune, the cards were clearanced at 75% off and I scored a 2 GB card for a few bucks. The photo clerk was very friendly, and took the time to explain my SD card options with me. From previous experiences (Seattle and Chicago), I knew Walgreens stores carried reasonably-priced travel souvenirs. Such is the case here. Can you beat 3 postcards for $1? I don't think so! There was also a large range of Nashville-themed key rings. This Walgreens also has a microwave to warm any to-go items (muffins, etc) for sale, which is not the case in other Walgreens stores I've been to. Big plus. Be sure to note the early closing time (7 p.m. as of June 2014). I know this is typical of downtown stores in big cities, so I wasn't surprised but its an inconvenience nonetheless. read more

The pharmacy is very slow, I dropped off my prescription and was told it would be 15 mins. Prefect. Well the 3 ladies were talking and not working for the entire 15 mins and I went up to the counter and asked how much longer. They have not even started. They were deep in conversation. The pharmacist was very nice and said I didn't know you were waiting and got it within 2 minutes. Which made me not so mad. But come on. You are there to work and not have social hour. read more

NASHVILLE, TN: This crowded little Walgreens is the only accessible pharmacy in Nashville downtown. You need a pharmacy if you are going to be in downtown Nashville, too, by the way. No telling what you might catch in all those bars. The registers are polite, the layout is confusing, and the prices seem a bit on the high side. Can you blame them? Pretty big location. Very convenient if you live or work downtown and can walk to it. Otherwise, I have no idea where you would park. Employees are nice and know how to keep the lines moving. Only downfall is it stays pretty busy. Sometimes I like to leisurely cruise the aisles without having people bustling around me. read more
