I go to a different Walgreens now because a couple of employees (I won't mention names) have made me feel uncomfortable. It's a shame because it's the closest Walgreens to me. Walgreens Pharmacy, 29th&Quebec. We have tended to get good service at this pharmacy, with some problems due to them dropping the ball. This time my wife initiated a refill for her diabetes medication (NOT something to delay), and a week later she called and they had no record of the initial request. Five days later they had no record of the initial request or the follow up phone call. They were supposed to check on an authorization -- they didn't. FINALLY after three weeks (this is diabetes medication, mind you) my wife gets a text saying that her medication is ready to pick up, so I go to the pharmacy to pick it up. 'Sorry, we're all out, we'll have it again in a few days.' I talk to the pharmacist. COMPLETELY unhelpful. No attempt to expedite the matter, despite knowing that Walgreens dropped the ball twice. Are you KIDDING ME???? Is this a pharmacy or a dope dispensary?? I've been treated better at the motor vehicle bureau. Fortunately there's another pharmacy nearby we can switch to. Can't keep posted hours. My wife just had spinal surgery. We had her post op pain prescriptions sent to this location to be filled. They filled the prescriptions but the pharmacy closed early with no posted notification online. Don't ignore the negative reviews about this pharmacy. I'm not one to leave negatives myself but they truly take the cake on poor service. Terrible communication, rude staff, slow refills, long wait times in person or over the phone, etc. God forbid you have to fill a controlled substance because they will come up with a problem on every attempt to fill. They delayed mine claiming insurance had denied it. But when I called my insurance they said it had been approved. Then this pharmacy delayed it -again- now claiming that my doctor's DEA License wasn't active. Upon a call to my doctor they were clear that wasn't the case; but when they attempted to contact this pharmacy themselves no one would pickup the phone. When I called the pharmacy to give them a heads up my doctor had left a message with the info needed to clear up any confusion- the woman I was speaking to got an attitude and claimed there was no message, essentially nothing they would do to try to resolve it, refused to give a number for my doctor to call them at, and said that I'd have to just get the prescription from a different doctor. Right... I'll just walk in and get a script for a controlled substance from someone else real quick. Are you kidding me? I have now missed multiple doses of a much needed medication because they failed to communicate in a timely manner and can't be bothered to even attempt to fix issues on their side. If there's a medication you NEED don't ever use this pharmacy. The same doctor they're claiming doesn't have a valid license sent the script to a different pharmacy and I got it filled and picked up within an hour. We go here all the time to drop off FedEx smart posts packages. And the lady with long blonde hair (sorry didn't get names) gonna try and tell me they don't do usps packages. Was very condescending. We understand but this was a fedex Smart post which goes through fedex then usps. If they actually knew a thing or two they would know that. Then they try and tell us no one has picked up a package I'm 2 weeks. Bish I was there Thursday and the lovely lady then (honestly) was more than helpful and got my package out and picked up. This store is slow and empty, that's the reason I , (used to)!!!) like it... But the last few days have been too much!! I have been trying to reach the pharmacy and they let it ring forever!!!!!, and then hang up on you. !!! Actually, they don't even answer the phone!!!, They just pick it up and put it on hold... Hold for at least 10 to 12 times (where is the computer apologizes - LOL!) , & then at the end it was ringing until it hung up... Sometimes they just pick up and hang up!!!!! ... Rude beyond belief and I haven't even gotten to talk to anybody yet!! I Also remember going in the store... And there was absolutely nobody in the store (no patrons/customers), yet I couldn't get help, or find anyone to ring me out... !!! If I were you, I would really rethink using this Walgreens... This pharmacy is perhaps the least customer oriented of any USA business. We changed our pharmacy from Safeway (very satisfied) because as Covid started and at our ages 77/79 we needed a pharmacy where we did not have to go inside. We both take several different medications. This pharmacy seems to be so poorly run that there is always a significant line of cars to wait through at the outside pickup window, although it was not that bad when we moved over in March of 2020, but every day since it has gotten worse. Today after 45 minutes and waiting behind 4 cars in line, I finally got to the pharmacy window only to find that my Eliquis that had been ordered before Thanksgiving was not ready (supposed to be ready after noon on Friday (now Monday noon). I was told brusquely that I would need to go to the back of the line which was now five cars long or come inside and wait at the counter. Told clerk that i had not been in a store for two years that was why we had our prescriptions transferred to Walgreens. With a "who cares: attitude she informed me that it was either go to the back of the line, come inside or come back some other time. Called our Doctor, can't have this prescription changed but we're now having all our prescriptions changed back to Safeway. read more

I even mention that when I go in and your staff just points, like I'm supposed to be able to see things from that far away. This is the most disgusting behavior ever received! My Vet called in a prescription for my dog and they never answered so the info was left on the pharmacy voice mail. She advise that I call first to make sure they filled it. I have been on hold now for the second time ( the first time they hung up after I held for 20 minutes.) for 1 hour and 7 minutes. I can hear them pick up the phone and put it back on hold. I have attached a screenshot of the time I am holding. I cannot check the automated system since my vet did not tie the prescription to a phone number so the only way I will know is to talk to someone. The one star is for the photo department. The pharmacy staff is rude and has no compassion for filling prescriptions two days early, so I end up running out of crucial medications. I am a caregiver and work three days in a row, including overnights. I transferred all of my medications to a different pharmacy due to how rude the pharmacist on staff behaves while I am there (and while whispering to the tech). This review is concerning the pharmacy (which I would've given 0 stars, if possible), since we have been treated well in the store. We have been here to fill 10 prescriptions and the pharmacists have been rude, condescending and downright mean to my husband and I. One of our scripts is always under $2 and when it rang up for $11 one day, the pharmacist said, "What's the big deal? It's only $11"! (I'm on disability, so YES, it's a big deal!!) We asked for two NEW scripts to be transfered from a different pharmacy, but the pharmacists decided to call doctors I hadn't seen for a year and a half for refills instead. These doctors were in New Jersey! We asked what address you have for us on file and they confirmed it was a Denver address. Why call NJ when it's clear I haven't lived there or gone to a doctor there for over 18 months??? They wouldn't fill a script for our 18 month daughter because the insurance wouldn't go through. They used our new Jersey insurance, even though my husband and I had already had scripts filled under the current insurance. When talking on the phone with one pharmacist, I was told that I never called in to have the scripts filled. After giving him the exact time and length of the call, he said in an extremely rude tone, "Oh, I remember you"! Then he fought with me about the scripts I needed filled. By the time he realized how epic of a mistake they had made, it was too late on Friday to contact my doctor or the pharmacy to get my migraine medications and I had to wait until Monday. Anyone with a migraine will understand that you just can't wait 3 days for meds!! We went to Walgreens in New Jersey before moving back to Denver and had the best pharmacists ever! The pharmacists at this Walgreens, however, are absolutely HORRIBLE! They are rude, condescending and downright mean! I have NEVER had someone make me feel bad about picking up a prescription or for taking the scripts I need! I don't know what else to say, but: DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

For convenience of being located at the corner of Quebec and Leetsdale, this Walgreens is anything but. Spot on from the previous review, this Walgreeens is not up to par with the other stores I have visited. I recently had the pleasure of attempting to get my prescription filled, as it was conveniently on the way to the gym. The drive through to drop off my prescription (mind-you, just to drop it off) took 43 minutes!!! I would have reversed and backed up and went in, had a ridiculous long line of cars not formed behind me - literally blocking me into the wait from hell. Fast forward a couple hours after my workout on my way home... From experience I decided to park and go inside the store... Which seemed way worse to wait for another 30 minutes, more so in that I was not in the comfort of my car. From the looks of it, they didn't seem under-staffed. This should be the easiest, most convenient Walgreens since it's the closest to my home; literally walking distance. I have the app for Rx refills and I do everything I can to try to make the Rx refill task and easy as possible FOR EVERYBODY. I do have ONE Rx that cannot be refilled through the app and I have to call every single time to get it filled. This Walgreens location is 0-3 of filling this Rx the last three months. And this last Rx fill was the last straw. Following the "rules" of the number of days between refills, I could not get the Rx filled until "Friday", BUT I also was leaving town on that Friday and needed the Rx as soon as possible that morning. I called the Monday before to explain my situation - Not trying to pick up Rx before legally allowed, but hoping that they would pick it up first thing on Friday to fill. They open at 9am. The pharmacist on the phone said he would leave a note for the Friday morning pharmacist explaining this. He confirmed the Rx was in the system and could be filled on Friday. I get there at 9:07am Friday morning. I am the FIRST and only customer at that time. There are 4 people behind the desk of the pharmacy. They confirm they have the note and the Rx request and one pharmacist implies that it will get started right away. I thank them. I walk around for about 15 minutes finally go back - no Rx yet. There are now 2 people sitting and waiting. I sit and wait. Both of those people get their Rxs while I'm sit sitting here. The pharmacist that filled at least one of those Rx's, sees me, makes a jester like "oh yeh, still need to fill her script". It's now 9:35 and he is just starting to work on my Rx. Takes him whole 5 minutes to count pills and print label. I go to check out and the price is $100 more than what I should pay. He can't fix it. He didn't even know how to delete it. It's now 9:40-sh Another pharmacist tries to fix for 10 minutes and cannot. Makes a call still not fixed. By now I'm in a panic because I have people at my house ready to leave without me If I don't show up soon. The pharmacy manager FINALLY takes it, deletes the wrong $$ amount and manually forces the correct amount. That should have happened 20 minutes earlier. Her excuse for not filling it sooner is that "we're busy with other people". Since I was the FIRST person there and they had a note explaining the unique situation, shouldn't my Rx have been the FIRST completed?? In ONE hour, they had a total of 6 customers come through. The other 5 got their Rx-s before me. Based on other behavior, I believe this "lethargy of service" was also racially motivated; since my complexion did not match those working there or the other customers getting served before me. Close or not, don't bother with this Walgreens location. Their work ethic and racial bias is quite evident. Note - I've not had this experience at other Walgreens locations. read more

I can NEVER reach a tech..today for example I called 5 times..each time it went to a hold position and it sounded like someone picked up then placed me on hold then eventually I was disconnected! I started calling them at 3pm.. by 5 pm - still never spoke with the pharmacy - I gave up and decided to transfer my prescription to King Soopers. I even called back and spoke with store manager (long wait to speak with her). She said she would walk over and ask someone to pick up. Put on hold for 23 minutes, then disconnected again while on hold. THEY ARE THE WORST! Will never darken their doorstep again! I had a bad experience with the Walgreen's on Evans so I gave this one a try. The pharmacist was very kind and efficient and made sure I got my prescription filled in a timely manner. I did walk around the store for 10 min and the beauty advisor was giving someone a makeover, they had a large variety of makeup products I hadn't seen in Walgreens before (like suds and glory and other premium brands), the valentines section was well stocked. I just had a tooth removed and needed soft foods and my options were limited but that's not their fault. Overall I will return to this Walgreens in the future. read more

I've been to a lot of Walgreens (often not a huge fan) over the years and this store is great. The employees are super helpful and they always have what I need. It is apparent that the staff actually cares and that goes a long way with me. I went here initially on the recommendation of a friend. The store was clean, well stocked and organized. The employee in the make up department happily greeted me right as I walked in and another one even helped me find what I was looking for (I usually turn down help as I like to acclimate myself when in a new store, but was in a hurry so it was greatly appreciated). At most other locations I've been to in the past, it really seemed like the employees went to great lengths to avoid coming close enough to acknowledge my presence, much less offer help. Aside from some impatient and rude/weird customers it really was a great experience. I went when it was quite busy and while I was in line I overheard an older woman trying to find a product, but couldn't even begin to describe the product or even the container that it came in (the makeup lady has the patience of a saint she must have gone through 50 different products), but unfortunately that seems to be expected in this day and age. Hardly their fault from what I can tell, here's an idea maybe bring the old product in, take a picture or google before you come in lol... You know it's a good place when you actually see customers smiling when talking to an employee, and not just a few. I told my girlfriend about it and she now is now a loyal customer. She goes in for her makeup now (see my Ulta review....) and says she has never had better customer service. Apparently they even do free makeovers which she loves to take advantage of before she buys new products and she is constantly getting notifications about promos and specials because she joined their club or whatever. This review is about the pharmacy. I went by at about 4 pm to pick up the refill prescriptions for my daughter and to process a new prescription for her. The line is six deep. When I finally get to the counter, I am told that there is no order for my daughter even though I am sure that her doctor transmitted the order. There is a 2 hour wait for the new prescription to be filled. 2 hours. I am told to come back after 6 pm. Why the 2-hour wait? Because there is one employee filling the orders. And there is only one employee at the counter. When I leave, the single line is ten deep. Worst customer service I've ever received by a national pharmacy. read more

Today I happened to be in post-surgery. Each employee I saw asked me how they could help (seeing me on crutches). They even arranged for someone to carry out my bags to the car to load them for me. I even complaind to the Manager and he was like a child .This place is extremely unprofessional I suggest a change of Management immediately and people be fired and written up.
