Extremely slow service and understaffed. I'm getting my scripts elsewhere for 2 years now

Every time we get our meds they screw up our incense and it would come back as $250.00 and every time we have to tell them to double bill it. One time they gave us the ring meds, that's very dangerous what if someone was allergic to it and died they would get sewed huge time and maybe serve some time, to sum it up the most dangerous pharmacy ever. read more

As always I'm super-frustrated when I walk in for a photo order I've submitted online and know is ready and there is no one staffing the photo area. I know, I know... it's not an area that needs to be staffed at all times, but what kills me is when there's one person at the regular register, then another is called to a regular register and ALL the people that walk up to those are waited on and checked out in a timely manner... meanwhile I stand and stand and stand... yep, they see me. I'm there before all the other people in line, but I can't go check out there since I need someone to get my order, but no one will wait on me because apparently everyone else that came behind me is more important. I use Walgreens online photo service a lot, but this exact situation has happened WAY to many times for me to continue. My 2 most recent orders I have gone elsewhere and likely will continue to go elsewhere. I don't even know who to complain to.... so I'll just move on. read more

I went in to fill a prescription for Zofran a few weeks ago. At the time I didn't have my insurance card so I told the pharmacist that I was on the North Dakota Medicare expansion plan hoping that he would be able to look up my info since all my prescriptions are 100% covered. He tried but could not find the info and said that if I paid now and called later with the info they would reimburse me. Well, I'm on Medicare for a reason: I have no job and cannot afford to pay for prescriptions. Luckily I was traveling with my loving Grandma and she was more than happy to pay the $122 for my prescription because I couldn't stop throwing up and the prescription was going to remedy this. I walked outside and took one only to find out between the hospital and the pharmacy they had screwed up the prescription. They were supposed to be the dissolving ones since I couldn't keep anything down but they weren't. The pharmacist said he couldn't do anything so I just continued on my journey still sick. Two weeks or so later I arrived at home and went to go find my insurance info. I called the pharmacy to give them my info. A pharmacy tech named Zach answered the phone. I told him that I needed to give him my info so they could file with my insurance. He then proceeded to tell me that he really couldn't and that it would be very difficult basically making it clear he was too lazy. Finally, I told him that another pharmacist said that they were able to and he reluctantly attempted to file. One problem though: even though the first pharmacist knew what type of insurance I had, and said that I would be covered by North Dakota Medicare expansion they are one of the only pharmacies NOT contacted with my plan. You would think a pharmacist would know and tell you that before you shell out $122 of your Grandma's social security check. So now I'm left trying to find a way to pay my poor Grandma back and I paid $122 for a prescription I couldn't take. It doesn't stop there. After all this, I decided to call their national customer service number to file a complaint. Everyone I spoke with there was pretty sympathetic. Then I received a call from a Grand Rapids Pharmacy manager named Kendra. She basically gave me the same excuse as the second pharmacist did. She said that there is a lot of info to get when taking insurance info over the phone, that it makes it really difficult, and some of the employees there choose not to take insurance info over the phone. I then stated that I was not local and live 500 miles or so away. She continued on with the same excuse and I had enough so I calmly thanked her for her time and told her I'm ending the phone call. I'll never go to another Walgreens ever again. read more
