This modern day version adds on a prescription dept. and a post office. The only thing it's missing is the old photo booth you would find in a five & dime store. Can you tell I love it here? Everything you need to shop for is in one place. Greeting cards, purses, medical aids, cosmetics, pet items, household supplies & even a few food items. They even sell scratch off lottery tickets. There's a number of decorative & collectible departments such as Native American, Coca Cola, John Deere & Wizard of Oz collectibles. Some I'm thinking might be for tourists. All people who use Pharmacies on a regular basis need to read this review:…read more Recently, i was put into a position of care~taking for a very elderly person; which also required helping with all of the medication needs: organizing them, properly giving them, and re~ordering them. Before this task, i had zero exposure to the "Pharmaceutical" world~ {never needed to take a drug of any kind, for anything, my entire life}. So, "refilling some prescriptions" was an entirely foreign experience for me. Plus, dealing with all the various medical "offices", that worked with the patient i took care of, was not ever particularly enjoyable.. That's when 'Jilli', of Walgreens, Inverness, FL, came to my rescue!!.. For, i was faced with a prescription-refilling dilemma that required me to do some sort of insurance follow-up, *that i had no clue how to do*. But Jilli went the extra mile for me, and took care of the problem in a short time, that would have taken me, who~knows~how~long {if i would have even been able to get it done, at all}. A couple days later, i was in position to pick the prescriptions up. And so, i went there on the 28th of October, about 6:30p.m. When i got to Walgreens, i did not have a line ahead of me, and so, they helped me very readily. As i waited, i watched intently as each Pharmacy staff member did their work. In a very short period of time, my jaw literally dropped in utter amazement to the phenomenal professionalism and composure of each member, as they dealt with their *on-going* extraordinary time limitations, requests, and demands--- that seemed to just keep mounting, in my perspective. For each one of the staff members, the requirements placed on them were seemingly constantly pressing, needed, and coming from virtually every direction: the telephone, new walk~ins, the drive~thru, and all of the various considerations that had to be constantly taken into account just to carefully and properly handle the critically important materials. And all without running into, or tripping over, each other in the process!! And, yet, not one of them appeared rattled nor even stressed throughout. 'Surgeons aren't even under this kind of pressure!!', i thought to myself, as i absolutely marveled in admiration at all of their incredible, professional composure, adeptness and dexterity. These people, that work in this line of business, do not get a fraction of the credit that they deserve. It's high~time people truly recognize the incredible responsibility and obligation these workers have on their shoulders--- to the point, really, that those responsibilities and obligations are almost unreasonable and unrealistic. We all need to deeply appreciate that. All of my respect and admiration to you Pharmacy employees at Walgreens, Inverness, FL. Again, i applaud you. I gave a friend a ride to pick up her prescription at the store on college road Ocala and at the…read morewindow the pharmacist said the price was $228.00 for thirty day supply. We asked if the was the GoodRX price and the person looked and then stated the GoodRX price was $188.00 and she paid with her credit card. When I dropped her off at her home I went home and asked her to send me a picture of the bottle and the pill inside. She did and I looked it up on GoodRX app only to find that the GoodRX price was $23.35 !!!!! I was furious and told my friend. She was able to get out to go back there and complain about being ripped off for over $165.00! It was three weeks later when we could get back there and the pharmacy said that she needed the receipt that was attached to the bag that most people throw out before they could issue refund. The pharmacy did provide a copy of the sale in their system and gave us a copy of it. Three weeks passed and we went to get another prescription picked up found that they had done the same thing again the bill was over $328.00 and when we challenged the price the total for that order was around $33.07 ! when we presented the documents and the tall old seemingly lazy pharmacist so he claimed and said that too much time had transpired and that she could not get a refund of the intentional overcharge of $165.00. I wish I had hit record on my phone to put his comments on social media but I had expected them to make it right and issue the refund of the intentional overcharge. Amazon $5.00 Sam's Club $12.25 and Walmart was $18.00 for the same prescription. In closing many if my family member have sworn by Walgreens and after I shared with them our experience and let them decide whether they choose to ever do business with them again! I was told when I called last week and spoke with corporate customer (dis)service that she could call and submit a claim and that it would be reviewed and quite likely refunded. My friend is afraid to do it . But she will do it this week and if needed I will be there when she calls. It is my hope and prayer that they do what is right and in addition that they terminate the employment if that pharmacist and that employee that blatantly lied to us at the drive up that day as well The aforementioned statement is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge Pstr JFBSR
