The first thing I notice when I walk in is how marvelous it smells here. It is lovely. Breath it in! I start to feel relaxed after a few deep breaths. There is almost always some funky music playing too. I am always greeted warmly upon arrival and told about any specials they have going on. Yay deals! I usually check those out first! Then I go restock on their skin care line. It's the bomb! I'm in my mid 40's and I love the feel of sun on my skin, I rarely get enough sleep, and I usually forget wash my face before bed. Serious cardinal sins of skin care! With all that said, I hate to imagine my life without their coffee eye roller and Goddess face cream. I've tried all kinds of eye creams and serums and I've literally spent hundreds of dollars trying to find an eye cream to deal with puffy eyes in the morning. Their simple coffee eye roller is not only way less expensive, but it actually works! They have some amazing, natural home made soap in pretty much any flavor you can imagine. Ok so I haven't actually tasted the soap, but it often smells good enough to eat. My favorite is the coffee bar. It has coffee grounds to scrub away the days grime and keeps me skin soft and smooth. Assorted crystals, smudging supplies, totally useful and/or hilarious gifts, and some positively lovely jewelry abound here. Oh and a whole room for local foodie stuff! Yum! As if all of that wasn't enough the have high quality and lab tested CBD products. Vapes, dabs, gummies, honey, creams, and oils. Anne is extremely knowledgeable...seriously she could/should probably have a class about all the wonders that are CBD and the best one for you.

I first want to disclose that I wanna giveaway on Instagram, which included a chemical peel facial,…read moreas well as some free products. As a makeup artist, model, and middle-aged woman, I have had a variety of facials and spa treatments in places all over the world. Since this is a Medi spa, I went in with a little bit of trepidation that everyone inside would look very fake, and I would almost feel like an outsider without any fillers or Botox, but that wasn't the case. That was a nice bonus! However, it almost erred on the side of too casual. My aesthetician was wearing a sweatshirt of one of the skin care brands, and with it being a facial, I thought that was just OK, but I think if I was getting a more involved or advanced procedure done, I would find it offputting. When I arrived, they had a bunch of online "paperwork" that they wanted me to fill out, but said I did not have to fill out all of it. I honestly found it a little bit stressful that it wasn't sent in advance, and I worried that my service was cut short by the time I spent filling out the online form. It would have been very lovely to have been offered something to drink during this process. I also felt like my facial/peel was very short, and I did not notice much of a difference. Because it was a cold and snowy day, I would have loved if they would have been offered me a blanket right away when I laid down on the table for my service. She did give me one later in the service, when the moisturizing mask was doing its job. Overall, my complaints are pretty minimal - really more details that would have taken the experience to a higher level. If you'd like an unpretentious medi spa experience, this could be a great place for you! Everyone was very friendly and casual, as well as helpful. And the facility itself was very nice, clean, and professional.

Connie is such a sweetheart and I always look forward to my apts with her. She is an absolute pro! It's very apparent that she is well versed on the anatomy to inject properly, which is everything. Anytime I've needed a touch-up she has always responded to emails and willingly adjusts her schedule to get me in. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face! The new clinic is beautiful, the location is right off the highway. Sometimes they are behind at the clinic and I have had to wait upwards of a half hour- but it hasn't been the norm. Perk-- They come to Kohler water spa in Kohler for injectables every 3 months- which is wonderful for when I don't want to drive to the Glendale location.

The MAC counter at Macy's in Mayfair has been in my regular rotation for many years now. The staff…read moreis usually knowledgeable and often even friendly and I can purchase about 75% of the product I use regularly. But the lines can be long and the staff can be rushed and it just isn't the same as the great service I've gotten at MAC Stores in other states. So imagine my bliss when I happened upon this newly opened (it's debut was in early July 2014) candyland of colors and products as I wandered the mall (which happens to not open until 10am on Saturday mornings for some unknown reason). But one glance at the rows and row of colors and stacks of brushes and pallets and any frustrations with time quickly subsided. One of my favorite things about MAC Stores is that the salespeople are true junkies of their craft and they pride themselves on finding just the right product for your skin type and desired effect. And the two clerks that assisted me at this location are some of the best. They asked questions about which products I use, what I liked and didn't about each, about my skin tone and texture and how much time I prefer to spend on applications. And after making my decision they emphasized MAC's liberal return policy (if you don't like the product, for any reason, return with receipt for a refund or credit, no questions asked). They want you to like their products as much as they do. And they will work to find what works for you. I love that kind of service. Not to mention their products. The price may be higher than what you spend at drugstores or Target but try it once and you'll see it's totally worth it. The quality of the product allows you to use much less of most of them, plus in general their products just last longer. Add to that the lack of preservatives and harmful additives and it's a good investment for certain. Before I became hooked I was a bit skeptical. But a good friend insisted we go to one of their free makeover sessions "just to try it out". That was over 12 years ago and I haven't used another product since. So if MAC at all peaks your interest give them a call or stop by and ask about their free sessions - their happy to schedule you and you'll be even happier you did!

This is one of my go-to Walgreens locations. It's a bit out of my way as are my other two favorite…read morestores but all three are worth the drive. This is a larger store and it's a jumpin' joint, it's always busy. (It's also a 24 hour store but I have no idea if it's busy at 4 AM, I never tried going there at that time.) There are lots of selections available for brand names, private label, and generics for OTC and even for 'scripts. There are also large selections of general merchandise, greeting cards, gift cards, and enough candy choices to keep every dentist in Washington County busy for years. There's something new here that I've never seen before. The cooler doors are not glass, they are large format LED screens that rotate displays, from advertising to contents of the cooler to showing what products are on the racks when you open the door. The products are animated and some dance to try to attract your attention. Yikes, what's next? On my last visit, I went to the pharmacy for an injection and to find an equivalent OTC product to one I bought in Alabama a year ago. The pharmacist dropped what he was doing and went out to the shelves to bring back the equivalent Walgreens product. Kudos to him because I am not a chemist and I can't make head nor tail of the ingredient lists on those boxes. My injection was prepared quickly although I had to wait for the RN because they were very busy with Covid19 vaccinations. (Mine wasn't Covid19, that's already been taken care of.) If you live in central Washington County, you can count on this Walgreens to take care of you - 24 hours a day.
