As a makeup artist, model, and middle-aged woman, I have had a variety of facials and spa treatments in places all over the world. Since this is a Medi spa, I went in with a little bit of trepidation that everyone inside would look very fake, and I would almost feel like an outsider without any fillers or Botox, but that wasn't the case. That was a nice bonus! However, it almost erred on the side of too casual. My aesthetician was wearing a sweatshirt of one of the skin care brands, and with it being a facial, I thought that was just OK, but I think if I was getting a more involved or advanced procedure done, I would find it offputting. When I arrived, they had a bunch of online "paperwork" that they wanted me to fill out, but said I did not have to fill out all of it. I honestly found it a little bit stressful that it wasn't sent in advance, and I worried that my service was cut short by the time I spent filling out the online form. It would have been very lovely to have been offered something to drink during this process. I also felt like my facial/peel was very short, and I did not notice much of a difference. Because it was a cold and snowy day, I would have loved if they would have been offered me a blanket right away when I laid down on the table for my service. She did give me one later in the service, when the moisturizing mask was doing its job. Overall, my complaints are pretty minimal - really more details that would have taken the experience to a higher level. If you'd like an unpretentious medi spa experience, this could be a great place for you! Everyone was very friendly and casual, as well as helpful. And the facility itself was very nice, clean, and professional.

Connie is such a sweetheart and I always look forward to my apts with her. She is an absolute pro! It's very apparent that she is well versed on the anatomy to inject properly, which is everything. Anytime I've needed a touch-up she has always responded to emails and willingly adjusts her schedule to get me in. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face! The new clinic is beautiful, the location is right off the highway. Sometimes they are behind at the clinic and I have had to wait upwards of a half hour- but it hasn't been the norm. Perk-- They come to Kohler water spa in Kohler for injectables every 3 months- which is wonderful for when I don't want to drive to the Glendale location.

The staff…read moreis usually knowledgeable and often even friendly and I can purchase about 75% of the product I use regularly. But the lines can be long and the staff can be rushed and it just isn't the same as the great service I've gotten at MAC Stores in other states. So imagine my bliss when I happened upon this newly opened (it's debut was in early July 2014) candyland of colors and products as I wandered the mall (which happens to not open until 10am on Saturday mornings for some unknown reason). But one glance at the rows and row of colors and stacks of brushes and pallets and any frustrations with time quickly subsided. One of my favorite things about MAC Stores is that the salespeople are true junkies of their craft and they pride themselves on finding just the right product for your skin type and desired effect. And the two clerks that assisted me at this location are some of the best. They asked questions about which products I use, what I liked and didn't about each, about my skin tone and texture and how much time I prefer to spend on applications. And after making my decision they emphasized MAC's liberal return policy (if you don't like the product, for any reason, return with receipt for a refund or credit, no questions asked). They want you to like their products as much as they do. And they will work to find what works for you. I love that kind of service. Not to mention their products. The price may be higher than what you spend at drugstores or Target but try it once and you'll see it's totally worth it. The quality of the product allows you to use much less of most of them, plus in general their products just last longer. Add to that the lack of preservatives and harmful additives and it's a good investment for certain. Before I became hooked I was a bit skeptical. But a good friend insisted we go to one of their free makeover sessions "just to try it out". That was over 12 years ago and I haven't used another product since. So if MAC at all peaks your interest give them a call or stop by and ask about their free sessions - their happy to schedule you and you'll be even happier you did!

It is full of some really amazing scents that you notice the second you walk in. There are premade items as well as empty bottles so that you can make your own signature scent. The very nice lady had us smell around 400 different scents and choose the ones that appealed to us the most. Then we had to choose how we wanted it- in a room spray, body spray, Cologne , lotion or shampoo. I think there are others but I can't remember. We chose the body spray. For about $25 we had our own signature scented body spray! A month later I'm still loving it. What a fun gift this would make, or a fun place to take the teens for a few hours :) The only downside was, I think some of the scents were expired, as they were definitely not a good scent as they should've been, but I didn't mind since there were so many others to chose from :) we will be back!

We both left with a whole box full of bath bombs and our instructor even packaged up the leftover "dust" as fairy dust to sprinkle into a bath. That said, a friend of mine strongly recommended IVme, and I'm so glad she did. The calming, welcoming vibe here is great to start. It's giving med-spa with the overall aesthetic. I was greeted by the receptionist and given water while I waited. Kayleigh, the nurse injector I met with, was so so great. She made me feel at ease, walked me through the process/any potential questions, and -give my past experience - even broke down the different types of botox and what she'd be using for me specifically. To me, the service itself is of course important, but I also just notice and appreciate when the person providing the service just really feels trusting, and like they care. Personally, I only get units in my forehead and find it to be pretty painless (quick pokes), so I can't speak to other areas for injectables. Pleasant, relaxing, & fairly priced. I'll look forward to the results as they set in over the next week or two. Will report back!
