There is a reason this place is ranked so low. It used to be good. They got things done when I needed a prescription. My first issue was when it asked over the phone if I wanted to automatically renew my prescription. Sounded easy so I said yes. It had an issue and I had to do it manually anyways because it renews too early. Maybe they should fix that.... Anyways, the next issue I had was when I got prescribed some small things. They denied me and said to go buy them off the shelves. By the way, that's illegal. You cannot deny someone a prescription for any reason. The price is different if it is prescribed by a doctor. Technically I could sue or press charges but it's not worth it. And lastly, the other issue was when I called to refill my prescription and it was already being refilled. I had to go through the whole list still which was annoying. I had canceled the automatic refill by then. The call I got told me some ungodly amount of money. So I called. The lady on the phone told me the insurance didn't cover a 90 day supply. So I said it's usually a 30 day supply and I just wanted it fixed. She told me the doctor put it as 90 day supply. So I responded saying it's never been an issue before and she argued with me. Then when I asked why it was an issue now when it never was, she interrupted me to say she would fill it correctly for me. Literally that's ALL I wanted from that conversation. I didn't need some rude lady to argue and interrupt. I had no idea why my prescription was done differently this time when I've been consistently refilling it for months. It is clear that some of the workers here are incompetent and rude. Many seem nice! But whoever I talked to on the phone was rude and whoever refilled the prescription was incompetent. I needed to get some signage printed up via Walgreens' photo department, so I submitted my order the night before. About an hour later, I received a call from a Walgreens associate, who kindly called me to let me know that one of the photos I uploaded didn't come through all the way and she'd like to complete my order, so if I submit the picture again, she could complete my order quickly. First, it was super great customer service that she called to let me know, instead of me showing up the following day to pick up my order, to find that only one item had been printed. Thank you for saving my a trip. The next day I picked up my order, both items were printed correctly, and included the correct stands. I also was able to use a 60% off coupon online, which saved me some money, which is always a nice perk. I picked up my items and had to go to a different counter to pay. I think that's my only con of this experience, is that you go to the photo department to pick up the item, then have to go to a different register to pay. But I understand they're short staffed, so it makes sense. Perhaps the worst Walgreens for pharmacy. I have waited over 20 minutes in line that had 4 people in front of me waiting. They too were frustrated on the lack of service, lack personnel running the counter and just overall lack of customer service. Publix pharmacy works so much faster. However my insurance for scripts does not recognize Publix. Either Walgreens needs a larger pharmacy or add more people. read more

There's a reason I take 95 to go to the next closest Walgreens because this one is terrible. If you use the app to order anything for pickup there's a 75% the entire order will be cancelled even though the items are all available. It seems they don't want to actually throw 7 things in a bag for you. That must be too much effort. It's beyond frustrating. Save yourself the headache and just go somewhere else. read more

Do not get an injection at this site. They do not have a clue. One of the worst things to do with a COVID injection is administer it subq, as it can cause cellulitis granulomas, and decrease effectiveness of the injection. Yet, the person (clearly not properly trained, administered mine subq. Then did not keep me at the store for even one second let alone the advised 10-15 minutes. the Pharmacy staff (really the entire staff) is friendly attentive and super efficient. I'm greeted with a smile every time I pick up my medications and if there is an issue with my insurance coverage, which kept my prescription from being filled, the entire staff works as a team to not only fix the issue with my insurance company and once it's fixed they work as a team to fill the medication immediately and I mean immediately. Most times within 10-15 mins of learning of the issue the concern is fixed and I'm walking out with my medications. You have to visit the pharmacy once to see why they are by far the most popular pharmacy in North SJC. read more

I came to have my COVID test. My appointment was 12:45 pm. I arrived around 12:30 pm since this was not my first rodeo dealing with Walgreens and vaccines and the testing. Very disappointed in the photo lab. I went onto my Walgreens app just as I always do, to order prints. When I placed me order, it did not give me the usual option to choose glossy or matte finish, so I went ahead and placed the order and then called to inform them that I would like them matte finish. Well the guy in the photo lab said he'd never heard of matte finish. What?!! So he then puts me on hold to go speak to his manager and he comes back to tell me that they don't have matte and that all the pictures come glossy. If you Google glossy and matte finish, the first thing that pops up is Walgreens that states that when ordering photos, you have an option of glossy or matte and it explains the difference. read more

My husband submitted an express delivery for his prescription the morning of 6/12. We never received it. I called 6/15 and they said they have it, it was just never sent out for delivery... no apology, no explanation, nothing. They asked if I wanted to pick it up or have it delivered. I asked if it would get here today if we did delivery and she said "probably not". So much for "same day delivery". So I said I would pick it up and asked if it was ready now and was told yes. Got to the store an hour later and was told the prescription wasn't ready and would be 15-20min. I said I would wait in the store and asked if they would call it over the intercom when it was ready and his response was "they don't always do that". To add to all of this... we still got charged for the same day delivery fee. Again no one was apologetic nor helpful. If I didn't call today who knows when we would have actually received the prescription. read more

I came to this location sometime around 10pm. Mostly empty parking, a few people at the RedBox and very quiet. My mission was to buy small gauze for my sister because she had her bottom wisdom teeth pulled out. So I made the late stop to get her some. The store was stocked nicely, maybe 1 or 2 associates available and I walked all the back to grab some gauze. There were a few selections for some odd reason and grabbed the best ones I can find. They also have sales going on if you have your members card which I forgot in my other wallet at home so I didn't get the cool discount. But not a big deal. The associate who rung me out was an older gentlemen and he was nice. He greeted and asked if I found everything okay. I said yes and that's all. He rung me up and said have a good night. This is absolutely the worst Walgreens. If you have a problem, the staff is rude. The manager is even worse. They do not care about their customers and will treat you like you sh*t. If you need to do a store pickup order, choose another store. I have had multiple orders with not even one being correct. They will not substitute items - example - a deodorant was buy one get one 1/2 off. Asked for substitution of any scent. Only got one deodorant and was told that was all they had in stock. Went in the store and guess what I found? Yep-in stock. When this happens and you are using the coupon, you lose the coupon. This last order they refused to fill correctly cost me $24 in cash rewards. I had an order that I placed one evening for otc medicine I needed for COVID symptoms. Placed the order over 3 hours before closing. They cancelled the order. When I called, the manager said they did not have enough staff and I would have to come in. I explained that I had COVID symptoms and did not want to expose anyone to it. They didn't care. Would rather risk exposing everyone than pulling 2 items for pickup. I will only use the Old St Augustine Rd location from now on even though it is a longer drive for me. They are fantastic with pickup orders, friendly and good customer service. Another poor pharmacy experience. Seeing a pattern on the reviews?? First they don't call to confirm it's ready. Then, after a call close to closing time we are told it is ready and to come on up, someone will be here to take care of you. Buzz quickly up to the store. Pharmacy gates are closed. There are surely people in there but they refuse to answer the phone or repeated knocks on the doors and windows. Manager couldn't even get them to respond. Dropped of my prescription the night before and came back 24 hours later to pick it up and script wasn't ready. There was a problem with my insurance even though I've explained to them multiple times I have no insurance. The girl said they would fill it right away. They were very busy so I said that's not a problem at all. Sat there for 45 minutes, so figured I would ask how much longer. The pharmacist goes to a basket picks it right out. It was finished 30 minutes ago. The girl who helped me left for the night and instead of letting me know it was finished went ahead and clocked out for the night. I'm a 100% sure if I wouldn't have asked about it I would have sat there til closing time. Also, prescription was $30 more than usual. It was like I've never been there before even though I refill the same prescription every month for the last 2 years at this exact location. Had to deal with the rudest pharmacy technician's at this location compared to any other Walgreens that I have ever been to. Claimed that Walgreens personal policy is even stricter than what the DEA mandates that they have to comply with! That technician didn't know what she was talking about. I went to a different Walgreens, explained the situation and had no trouble getting my prescriptions!
