Walgreens pharmacy 2235 Parr Dr The Villages, FL 32162. This particular pharmacy is where I get my prescriptions filled every month. They are exceptional. I am very satisfied with their professional service. The staff is friendly and they often offer you help on any drug issue. When I am out of refills, this is where they truly shine. They call my doctor and they get a refill for me. That is so helpful and very professional. I want to thank the entire staff for their outstanding service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHARMACY. If you dont believe me look at all the 1 star ratings for this crappy company. After reading many other reviews it seems I'm not the only one that has a problem with the staff and their bs laws. It seems they're the only one held to this standard. I only come here because its close to where I live. Never again. Fk them and their stupid company. This is an addon from what I wrote below. Worst incompetent pharmacy ever. Don't come here they cant do simple math and with hold your prescriptions. They claim some kind of bs law. Then tell me why when I go to a non corporation pharmacy they give me the medication and say thanks for coming and have a nice day. The only time they said Id have to wait is if the insurance wouldn't cover it, but guess what you can still buy it and they wont give you a hard time. How she going to tell me that I got a 30 day supply and it was 31 days in the month and she claims to give me an extra. Btch just give us the medication the Dr wrote and move on. I see some bad reviews, but we've been using this pharmacy for many years and have always been pleased. Yes, they're overworked, as you might expect here in The Villages, and good help is always hard to find and keep, but I'm amazed at how well they do. My advice to those who complain about waiting in line: make a new friend with those around you and enjoy life for a change. Be happy you've been blessed to live so long that you can retire in The Villages. read more

My insurance changed and I had to transfer my prescriptions from Publix to Walgreens. It's a real culture shock. The Publix folks were friendly & professional, they routinely went above & beyond. Walgreens is the complete opposite. I recently picked up a prescription & asked the Pharmacist is there a specific time of day I should take it & should I take it on an empty stomach or with food? She shoved the paperwork at me & said "just read this, it'll answer your questions." read more

I wish I could give a lower rating. The pharmacy staff is inefficient and ineffective. It really is wrong, existing staff are nonchalant and don't give a hoot. Scheduled a COVID booster & flu shot for 5:15pm. Arrived at 4:45 pm. Stood in line to find out I was in the wrong line... barely see the sign because someone was standing in front of it. Filled out docs on line, just to do it over... the system is down. No, staff didn't know how to access online. People with 6pm appts came later and got their shots ahead of me... What?!?! Every seat in the wait area is full. Others see the confusion I experienced and shared the same thing happened to them. What a joke!?! Be prepared for a 1+hour wait. I got a text at 5:48 pm that my shots were completed... what? Still waiting!!! Finally going in to patient health room 6:01. Unacceptable! Thank goodness the wait is finally over. I spoke to the pharmacy manager. She explained a high turnover of personnel and difficulty of on-the-job training. She was very apologetic. While waiting another customer was waiting to pick up a scrip for her husband in the hospital. The clerk told her it was already picked up?!?! Rather than argue after quite some time, the woman asked if they could refill and she would pay out of pocket... he really needs this scrip. $12.00... she gladly paid! I cannot believe how overworked and understaffed this pharmacy is. One can call to fill a prescription and then be told to come the next day and it is not only not ready but not in their system. For three prescriptions, this is now the second month that I have had to make four to five trips. Promises by the pharmacy staff (who always seem to be operating at the edge of civility) are rarely fulfilled (such as when they make an offer to call you if they can't get the shipment of the medication in). Still no call. Sigh The only thing that can be said about this pharmacy is that Walgreens is big enough to have other stores nearby by which one hopes the service is better. It could not be worse than this hellhole. This is definitely a place to fill your scripts...only if you have tons of patience for total lackadaisical and incompetent behavior. As a person with a need for life sustaining medications, I have dealt with a number of Walgreens over the years. This is the **WORST** I have ever encountered. read more

I was recently assisted by Phyllis Hickey, Beauty Consultant, with a better understanding of the coupons best suited to my purchases. I was also assisted by the store manager (whose name I unfortunately forgot) - Tuesday, January 5th, about 1pm - explaining how the in-store and online customer accounts needed to be linked together, which mine weren't. Each of these ladies spent time with me, listening to my questions and offering responses for my understanding. I did return home and followed the store manager's directions for getting my accounts linked up via the phone customer service. I truly appreciate their time and effort. read more

The pharmacy is the worst. One person to help you and after waiting for the customer in front of me to finish, the clerk walked away and started making phone calls. I had an appointment and was in a hurry and finally another clerk came to check me out. Also, they are always so rude. read more

I have no complaints. If you can say that about a place then it must be acceptable. I also have many of my pictures processed here via the internet. They do a decent job and prices are acceptable. However, do not use them or any other convenience store photo processing for high quality printing - you will not get it. Look online for a professional place and pay the difference - it will be worth it. read more

Went to a local urgent care facility. They sent prescription and only had to wait a couple of minutes for it. That was fast!

Scripts called in, arrived 30 mins later, told it would take an hour, waited 1.5 hrs, and told they JUST printed it and was not ready, would be another hour. RIDICULOUS. read more

Living in a senior center like the Villages means there are lots of people needing lots of medications and those medications usually have lots of complicated verification protocols and insurance regulations that doctors should be aware of but not always. I think the staff are friendly and helpful but generally overwhelmed by the volume of requests, so even if you've been told that the prescription is "ready" you may still need a 20 minute wait to pick it up. They do have video check in for pick up of pre-filled medications, but for some reason it just doesn't work. Hence the mediocre rating. read more
