The staff here is amazingly friendly, hence the reason for five stars. This particular Walgreens location was next to my hotel so I headed over here for some water to keep in my hotel room. It had the same feels and layout to any other Walgreens you've been too. Except there is security inside near the front entrance. (At least in my local Walgreens, we don't have any visible security guards around). It is a good idea that they have a guard nearby because there is a lot more homeless that venture near the outside of this establishment. I noticed that there was a few items missing causing some empty spaces on the shelves. I was looking for what I thought was a common sweet snack, and it wasn't there. Ordered a mobile order pickup for items. Got a text it was ready and went thru the drive thru to pick it up as instructed. Waited 30 minutes in the drive thru and got a text that my order was picked up even tho I never got it. Had to go inside of store and wait another 15 minutes for them to find order, which apparently was given to the pharmacist in the first place. Worst Walgreens in town! Unprofessional employees! One was blasting music and singing as they were stocking shelves. I went to the pharmacy and attempted to pick up a prescription that my doctor had called in. I was told it wasn't ready. I asked when it would be ready and was told "I don't know" and was blown off. I told them that I would wait around for it. I came back 15 minutes later to check with a different employee, only to be told that my medication wasn't in stock and would not arrive until the next day at earliest! I brought my mom here to get her booster shot on 7/25. Parking is in the back. There is a time limit. Entrance is at the front. There are two security guards. There was a broken window at the front doors covered in a piece of plywood. As we were entering, there was a customer that was ousted outside of the store, due to stealing. The employee wasn't fazed at all and seemed to enjoy getting the customer outside. I think he was rather amused. No bathroom - was "not working." There were two seats for waiting at the Pharmacy. There was a covid vaccine check-in window at the pharmacy. The other window there was to pick up prescriptions. My mom checked in. The pharmacy staff was nice. Although there was noone else in front of my mom, we were waiting for a little while. When she was seen, she was called behind the screen near the two seats. She said she didn't feel it. She was raving about it. The customer crowd is a mix of tourists (a group were in line to get their vaccine), locals & sketchy folks (sorry, gotta be brutally honest), but I was really on guard, constantly looking around, and scanning the people around, because (1) I didn't want to let my guard down and (2) my mom is aged. As we were exiting the store, we got a greeting from the front security guard (she was nice) and someone tried to sell me some incense from inside his backpack. read more

Thank goodness for Walgreens! I am not sure why the review said overpriced. I found it was actually similar prices to home and saved us when the kids needed snack and drinks. The hotels are so overpriced we found goodies on our journey up and down the strip. We also needed plenty of water and Gatorade since it is so hot for us, we are from up north. We also found the "viral" pealable mango slices candy and pineapple candy for only $1.99 a pack. We were able to get some breakfast foods too for the kids since you cannot eat for less than $50 a meal. Now that I know the prices are so good, I am adding this to places to visit to feed family. read more

I had an emergency prescription need for pain and I was all over the place however daisy was amazing assisting me, very friendly patient and helpful. Also the pharmacist was great! Terrible pharmacy service. I forgot my medication on vacation and transferred my prescription to this pharmacy at 3:53 Friday (they are open until 7pm and open again at 9am Saturday). Still not ready Saturday afternoon. I've called multiple times to explain I'm now 2 days without my medication that I have taken daily for the past 10 years. They did not care and said we will get to it when we do and can't promise it'll be done today and they are closed tomorrow. I have worked at a pharmacy before, and when this type of urgent situation happens, we move that patients prescription to the top of the pile and will get it done in 5-15 minutes. read more

The end all and cure all to all! When we are in need and aid what do we think of, besides duct tape! Most of us on the west coast think of Walgreens; but they stretch all the way to the east coast too! Most are open 24/7 and carry a unique array of health care needs, food and beverage, pharmacy, and the other categories to meet the needs of its patrons! This particular store has been on the corner of Sahara and Las Vegas Blvd for sometime. Before I started Yelping this was my local Walgreens haunt. I resides down the road on Judge Joe Brown and Sahara, so where am I going with this tangent! Simple would not want to visit this store in the evenings. Daytime being rough too. Times are a changing and this Walgreens has done a 360 turn! I applaud Walgreens for cleaning up their act and making it safe for the customers that want to shop here in peace and safety. Now do not take this the wrong way those that fall on hard times my heart goes out to them. I give to more homeless when I'm able and always deliver them the human dignity that all of us deserve! Most people if they could would throw pennies at this form of individual on LV Blvd; but we must remember to help those in need when we can! While I am shopping is not the time to aid anyone. Being female, single now, with the twins I feel that safety ping go off when people watch or get near me. So to be able to shop and not have to glance at this individual or that asking me this and that is nice! This might sound evil but time is money and money's time to me! I am one that is always running on a deadline and has to meet something or someone; either personal or professional. Now that Walgreens has made the shopping experience more enjoyable then it makes shopping here far better. This Walgreens is a shining star to most since they are the equivalent of a Home Depot or Lowe's but in personal health, care, and human consumption needs. There are countless times in the middle of the night one of the twins had a fever and you don't have what you need. Damn Murphy of course! What did I think of? Where did I go? You already know! And I did not have to call and make sure they were open since they are 24/7. Let's resume "this" Walgreens particular store review! This store has very friendly employees. They wave as you walk in and smile when you go up to pay. They thank the customer for shopping here even. Our cashier had a rocking attitude and was very cheerful. This is a hard quality to find since the smiles from the employees here were real and genuine. It seems that the employees enjoy coming to work here. Outstanding yes! The Walgreens here is very clean and all the shelves were stocked. While the prices are higher than regular Walgreens that are away from the tourist areas the prices; they will not make your wallet run away. For example I purchased a 500 mL bottle of Voss and it cost me $2.49. At other locations on the strip I have seen it for $5-6. That's outrageous. Now beware this is just my personal opinion the coffee drinks that I bought cost $4.00 a piece. Even if they were higher I still would of purchased since I enjoy it and was going to purchase anyways; price would not reflect my option. With this being Las Vegas and Sin City the selection of alcohol here is very extensive. They offer great options in the smaller airline varieties in flavors that are not found regularly. Some examples were Fireball (personal favorite), Baileys, and your higher end Vodkas such as Tito's! The selection and variety is of a personal nature so you should come down and check it out for yourself. The alcohol elixir selection is truly amazing; plus they specialize in on the go mix and run. Then when you step out of the store onto LVBlvd your ready for the party! Walgreens is the shining beacon that we look towards when in need. When the twins were young and still today Walgreens is my go to favorite for all our health needs. I will continue to use this particular store when the need arises for coffee to go or water. It is amazing that I am finding new and rare treasures at some of my old haunts it makes the day so much better. Terrible place, terrible customer service. I purchased some items at the register and after I put my card in and my pin, it said approved. The lady placed my items in a bag and handed them to me. I realized I forgot to get something and asked if she could hold the bag with the items I purchased, while I went and grabbed what forgot. It took my less than 3 min to get what I needed and then came back to the line to purchase. The lady that had helped me was no longer there and another employee assisted me. I told him I just left my bag with the other lady and if he could get that for me. He then proceeded to look around and stated he did not see anything. I asked him if he could get the lady that was there before so she could tell him where it was at. He said she left for the day. It literally did not take me more than 3 min to come back. After he looked around further he found my items no longer in a bag, just sitting on a counter. He brought them to me and attempted to charge me again for the items. I then told him that I already paid for the items. He then asked for the receipt, which I then realized the lady did give me a receipt. I asked him to get her because she had to remember that I just paid. He was able to catch her before she left the store and she came and stated that no I did not pay. At this point, I'm extremely frustrated. Another employee that had nothing to do with the transaction then chimed in and stated, oh I remember, you're right she didn't pay. Ridiculous. Thankfully another customer overheard and told me to just check my back account. I pulled up my back account and it showed a pending transaction for the amount paid. The man at the register had a terrible attitude, as if he didn't believe me. Extremely unprofessional. The supervisor then said he would look at the camera. He came back and spoke to the rude man helping me. He did not come talk to me. The man at the register then came back to register and I'm the one who had to ask him if the supervisor seen me pay. He said he could only see me put my card in. If that's not proof idk what is. The pending transaction wasn't enough and neither was the camera showing me pay. He then proceeded to state the supervisor is going to go ahead and basically let me have that stuff for free. This was by far one of worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I remembered I visit here on the night of 03/20/2024, it was a Wednesday night! As soon as I walk up to the check out line, it was like a off switch been turn on, there was 3 cashiers at the check out, two women one man, one of the lady was taking her time to help one of the customer, cause he had multiple items, but as soon as the other woman cashier done helping her customer, she look at me next, smelling with a evil look on her face, then walked right off her station, didn't even say a word, then the other white dude also took a moment doing something irrelevant, pretending he didn't see me, then walked off his station also, almost like they really bothered that they saw me waiting in line! About a minute after that, the white dude returned with an attitude, didn't even want to say a word, hand gestured me over the counter, ' what you got?' He said with attitude, angry look on his face, I don't know what really set him off! Also I asked him about enter My Walgreens number, he stated we don't let you enter it for alcohol purchases and cigarettes and etc, you don't get points on those purchases (which I found out was a lie at a different Walgreen)! I found these Walgreens employees to be very friendly and helpful. My iPhone fell out of my pocket, and the manager saw it and put it in the safe. Luckily, I had my Apple Watch on, and when I pinged my phone, it rang inside the safe. The cashier called the manager, and he got it out of the safe, and I made my purchase using my phone. Brand new and only open two weeks now. I was out of a prescription medicine and came here to fill it since I'm from So Cal and they can see my list of meds and refills online. My regular Walgreens back home screwed up and said I didn't have any refill when in fact the pharmacists Jeanine here was helpful and saw the refill but for some issue was having difficulty with my insurance coverage. I'll need to go back tomorrow or she'll contact me via cell phone. The store is large and its just north of the SLS hotel and Casino on the north east corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Sahara. Slowest drive-through ever. I literally sat in the drive-through for 20 minutes waiting for the guy in front of me to be able to get to the window. Luckily his didn't take as long. I don't understand them, allowing people to sit in the drive-through at their window for that long. And of course there's the ever popular homeless, just piles of them outside and inside stealing which means they hardly have anything on the shelves. It is Really is for tourists & those living close by that may need a last minute item. This location is very much like a small grocery market, minus the produce. At NIGHT, parking is in the back BuT ,doors only open in front. Highlights Extensive Soup/Dinner/coffee/tea isles Candy every kind imaginable , movie size Yummy frozen comfort food area ICECREAM, SEVERALLL KINDS :-) Tons of junk food & large area with Healthier choices of nuts Alcohol area is large . All popular vodkas, Bottles, etc. DOM & ACE for that last Minute Celebration. I got all excited when this new Walgreens opened. I had assumed it'd be like the one I used to go to in Chinatown in Washington, DC. Multiple floors, a manicure section, a big deli section, self-serve froyo, lots of snacks and novelties, a big beauty section, etc. This Walgreens is NOT that kind of Walgreens. It made me sad. It's only one floor and it's not all that big. It's like the fancy Walgreens I loved, but super scaled down. So it's cleaner, nicer, and hipper than all older Walgreens, but it's not the super cool Walgreens that I was hoping for. But if you're wandering the Strip and find yourself needing some sort of necessity, stop in here - it's a cheaper alternative to the hotel lobby stores and other places you might find on the Strip. read more

After making an appointment online, I got my first Covid shot near the end of January, 2021, at the Walgreen's located on West Sahara and South Las Vegas Blvd. No problems. I checked in with my appointment and ID information and was given the shot within a half hour of my arrival. Three weeks or so later, the same was true for my second shot at this same Walgreen's. Woo hoo!! This long-awaited Walgreens has finally opened its doors!! Today! I was out for a run (ok, a jog...) this morning and I noticed that there were people in suits milling around the Walgreens. Since I live across the street, I've been stoked for this place to open, so I went on in. For a drugstore, this place is LEGIT. It's very similar to the giant CVS on the south end of the strip. It's very clean (though we'll see how long that lasts, considering it's Day One) and conveniently located a stone's throw from the SLS. It's a weird spot - the north end of the strip is (allegedly) gentrifying - you've got the super old and not so aesthetically-pleasing "World's Largest Gift Shop" on one corner, the gorgeous SLS on another, the almost-finished Rockin Rio on another, and then this Walgreens on the Northeast corner. I'm sure I'll be frequenting this place, hopefully they keep it as nice as it looks today! read more
