The rudest female employee that works the Photo/FedEx counter each time I use this store for my FedEx returns is just a monster. Rude and always angry, even when I say hello and smile. Used to use the Pharmacy, received the WRONG MEDICATION!! Recently went to recycle bottles and cans. When I turned in the receipts. Cashier didn't give me $5 of my money. Had to have unpleasant experience to get my $5. I pay deposit when I purchase the bottles and cans. Do not pick them out of the TRASH. Thinking about not ever going to that WALGREENS again. The cashier/manager was extremely rude. He yelled at me because the bills i gave were folded. He kept trying to push them back even thoough that was not my problem. He then claimed that i needed more change and then kept mumbling something. I asked him to speak up and he said it in the exact tone as before. Also holding up the entire line.i had given enough money and it was his job to take it. I dont understand why he was so rude. He then gave me 2 cents when i should have had 12. Any other times i was in there staff was slow and rude. If i could give less than one star i would. Next time i am in new Caanan i will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I used to go to the Cvs on Park st. I've never had more of a horrible experience in the last few years. our family has been going to cvs since 1996, but i finally snapped i couldn't take the rudeness much longer. I switched to walgreens and i have never been more overjoyed. The lady's at the pharmacy are so sweet and funny, they treat you like real humans. I truly have never been happier thank you so much walgreens. read more

Always slow, understaffed and indifferent. I finally switched all my prescriptions to another local pharmacy, and my recent covid vaccine experience, which should have taken ten minutes but took almost an hour, just reinforced my feeling that this location is not a good choice. read more

Walgreens pharmacy staff has given me the incorrect brand of drug 5 separate times. Their errors have required me to go to the store twice in a week 5 different times. Each time I have spoken to the pharmacist about this she explains that the employee who filled my prescription did not read the notes in my profile and the system filled my order with the default generic brand( i.e. the brand that is the most profitable to Walgreens). The pharmacist staff never apologize for the inconvenience and cannot fathom why I might be irked by their poor service. I mentioned to the manager that not once had pharmacy staff said "sorry" for their error or the inconvenience it causes me, the customer. Additional, the wait in line for service is invariably longer than the wait at nearby CVS. This indifferent service by Walgreens staff creates not just inconvenience but unnecessary risk to customers in our new world requiring social distancing. read more

there was a extremely rude employee there. first, i saw her constantly staring at us yet we were just looking for the right thing to buy. keep in mind we were only in the store for 10-15 minutes and maybe the only customers and we weren't even being loud or disruptive. my friends and i were buying products and checking out and were standing there waiting for our friend to finish. we stood there for less than one minute waiting and she yelled at us, "if your hanging out for this long then leave!" we were startled by this and left with no choice not because she yelled at us but because she was being extremely rude. earlier i was there a couple months ago too and she forced my friend to buy something for no reason, consistently was yelling at her too which caused her to cry. some nice employees but always a bad experience with rude ones. if something happens she is the only employee that will yell at people and kick them out. i am disappointed because this is a good walgreens but there are very rude employees. read more

The hours are listed online. The phone service says it when you call. This is the third time I've showed up on a weeknight at 9:50 to locked doors and no one in sight. And then, sitting in my car, watching the staff prance out at 10 on the dot...its just maddening. Hey I get that everyone's trying to go home (so am I!) but this isn't the corner mom and pop shop that can close up if business is slow. Clearly if someone is getting there 10 minutes before closing they're trying to rush in and out. The mean old lady that works at night, I can get over that. The inconvenience of now having to drive out of my way to pick up an essential item is what's frustrating. read more

This store has totally gone downhill. You can never find anyone to help you on the floor. They do not post sale signs or stock the shelves when things run out. Two days ago I went there to buy allergy pills. I purchased the store brand benadryl. When I got to the register, I think a female manager rang me up. She didn't even tell me that the item was buy one, and get one 50% off. I wasn't given a receipt, so I didn't bother going back. This was a $20 item, so I would've saved $10 plus there was a $1 cupon in the booklet. People will hold up the register for a half hour, and they won't open another one. Then if you ask someone from photo to ring you up (with a couple of items) they say they are on their break! I have left my basket and gone to CVS many times. I know will stop shopping there, and tell other New Canaan friends to not shop there. read more

I was at the Walgreens store in New Canaan CT to pick up 2 online store pick up orders. First I waited 5 minutes for somebody to help me. Then the Shift Lead came to help me. He started asking me if it is a Fedex package. I said I don't know how you get them but this is for an online store pick up. So he looked in one shelf and said there is no package for me. I said can you check all the shelves? He checked another shelf and said so it is a Fedex package that's what I asked. I said nobody told me how you would get it. I got an email that it was ready for pick up. So he gave it to me. This is the one from a few days ago. Then I asked about the email from today that my other order was ready for pick up. He said I only have one, let me check. He taught a newer associate how to check it out for me and disappeared. I waited and asked if the Manager had gone to look for my package. The associate said no, he has not, he has gone to do other things and he is not the Manager, our Manager is on vacation. She said maybe you can come back tomorrow and we can help you! This is the most ridiculous thing ever. What is the point of online pick up if I don't get to pick it up when it's ready. And you have to come back tomorrow! I spent 20 minutes in the store (plus the drive to the store) and didn't even get my items. read more
