While it may have been my mistake for thinking I was at a CVS, I had asked for my prescription to go to Cave Creek and Union Hills because my old pharmacy was by our old house and I needed one closer to the new house. I came in to get some medicine for my father ,and I been having some issues with the insurance, I thought maybe they could help me with that but , instead I was told rudely ,that I have to pay for the medicine or wait on insurance other than that they couldn't help me , the young lady named Hannah approached me in a very unpleasant way i understand that my insurance company is at fault but she didn't have two be so rude , i was hoping she could explain the issue Without being so discourteous. Maybe I'm just lucky (Or I don't use the pharmacy). I can't say I find anything special about any Walgreens. As a chain, they all carry the same products, and prices vary compared to other retailers. What does impress me about this location is the great employees I've had contact t with and their sincerity when they ask if you need help. I cannot remember the last time someone told me that they thought they saw an out-of-stock item in a bin out back. Not only did they go and hunt it but brought back two different ones. Sunday I was trying to get my prescription filled . I tried over the phone, nobody answered the phone. That's not unusual for this place. While I was at the window my prescription was cancelled somehow. The pharmacist said it was a glitch. HaHa ya right. She said she would get ahold of my Dr. Monday. She didn't. i would give 0 stars! i've been waiting to get an update about my script ALL DAY! i tried calling and was put on hold and then hung up on. fine. i'll go in person to check in. i get there and ask about my script and she says "we don't have one and the other one is out of network" like the rudest way possible. and i say "when did the script get in". basically me being like COULD ANY OF YALL HAVE CONTACTED ME TO ADVISE ON THIS. i try to ask okay well how much is it then? this girl rolls her mf eyes at me! and she says $15. really diva like obviously imma mf pay that. i say "okay that's fine" and she says it'll be 40 mins and puts down the speaker. i'm about to pull a karen for real. read more

I would rate them lower than this if I could. The customer service has always been horrible but it has been getting worse now every month there is a problem . Michelle at the Pharmacy counter is very rude and has a very foul mouth and should not be working with the public. I would also like to add every time I drive through the parking lot I have to wade through the illegal drug deals and drug use going on. Minus 1 star if I could. I was there to pick up eye drops for an upper respiratory infection and pink eye. I was wearing a mask and my nose started running. I asked the pharmacist assistant for a tissue and he refused me. The pharmacist came behind him and offered me a tissue. I was seconds from sneezing on him so he got my sickness -because he OBVIOUSLY doesn't understand how sickness are transmitted. Will no longer use this Walgreens as long as they keep hiring assistants who don't understand how viral and bacterial infections are spread. Who trains these people?! "Yesterday my wife and I arrived at Walgreens after spending most of the day at the ER to pick up a prescription. The young gentleman told us that the insurance had expired. We told him the hospital didn't have a problem. Three times he inputted the information, and three times he said 'nope.' Meanwhile, my wife was in pain and needed the medication (antibiotic). So, we went to a different Walgreens, and within thirty seconds, the lady showed us the problem. He had put a 5 instead of a 6 in one of the digits of the ID number. Maybe this Walgreens should issue reading glasses to all their employees." read more

I when here to get my flu shot for a 65+ person. I checked in filled out the paperwork and was in and out in about 15 minutes. This location is better staffed then my local store. They friendly kind and thoughtful. I was very happy with the service at this location. read more

They are truly lower than one star. The complaints continue to be the same about this pharmacy and this Walgreens does nothing about it. Forget trying to reach them by phone. You are on hold multiple times for 20+ minutes at a time and then the phone hangs up. Your only recourse is to keep calling back and hope for a miracle that someone picks up. You might have to try several days in a row to reach someone. Would be OK if the app worked, but it doesn't for most tasks. You can order a refill but only if it is a certain type of drug and you can't cancel. To make matters worse, they give incorrect information when you finally do reach them. When I questioned a prescription that I usually only pay $60 for because it was $420, they said it was not covered and suggested the generic which they claimed was covered. When they processed the generic, it wasn't covered and was $468 out-of-pocket! So, I canceled it and ordered the brand name elsewhere, but because Walgreens won't process the cancellation of the generic, I am going to miss a month of my primary diabetes medication! All the other complaints are true, too, waiting in drive through line forever and having to zigzag past all the all the drug dealer outside. Been going here for years, but will transition all my family's prescriptions elsewhere ASAP. read more

That girl at the cosmetics counter with the bad make up on was so rude when I asked if I could pay for my stuff at that register with her response being "sureee" with an attitude, like her gossiping to the other employee was more important "for future reference this counter is for cosmetics only" I've worked for Walgreens and I never had an issue assisting people in pharmacy that brought non pharmacy related items to pay for, I don't see how that's any different a register is a register. read more

The person working on 12/23 at approx 10:40am was so miserable, rude, unhelpful. When I asked if she could look up other locations that may have something in stock (because their location was out) she legitimately told me it is a waste of her time and hung up on me. The Store Manager of this Walgreens location should definitely address the lack of customer service skills of the surly and miserable African-American lady cashier who works pm shift. She also seems to prefer to communicate via hand gestures; no greeting, no thank you. The pharmacy staff is amazing and the other cashiers are very pleasant and helpful except for this one lady. A friend of mine had the same unpleasant experience with her. She definitely ruins the shopping experience. read more

When is store is in the business of providing medication that can potentially save or diminish somebody's health they shouldn't close more than two hours early without any notice to the customer. Walgreens can send me 10 text messages a day that medication's are ready but they can't notify the customers when they're closing two hours early? I'm sure a boycott initiated would not do any harm to the goliath corporation that Walgreens is but if you have prescriptions at this store I highly encourage you to take them to CVS or one of the competitors. They're excuse of "we did not have enough staff" is pitiful and unprofessional!! read more

I am continually upset at the Walgreens pharmacy at Cave Creek and Union Hills. The pharmacists are wonderful. But then I have to deal by with techs and cashiers. And the dept manager is a witch. She lies and tells her employees to lie to me about my prescription. They constantly tell me my prescription is out of stock, but I have gone a few times and talked to the pharmacists later They look it up on the computer and tell me that they have it. So I am very disappointed that I can ONLY trust the pharmacists And why do they keep telling me, my med is out of stock when it is in the back. I think this has to be AGAINST the law. read more

So I arrived today for curbside pickup of my online order which was already paid for and waited 15 minutes and no one bought out my order so I left and walgreens had the nerve to mark my order "fulfilled" and never refunded my money back. Pretty standard Walgreens locations - nothing to complain about here! The staff was friendly, the store was well organized and things were easy to find. They had a decent amount of seasonal items if you wanted to go and check them out from now until the end of the year you may find some decent decorating deals. This location has the most incompetent and ignorant pharmacist/pharmacy tech I've ever experienced. Went to go pick up my specialty meds this past week found out that my insurance was changed to an insurance I've never even had. I'm telling the pharmacist tech she just looks at me like I'm a complete moron when I try to educate her and explain to her what's going on she gets a sassy attitude walks away and gets some other pharmacy tech that absolutely knows nothing about what's going on or how to handle anything. Then when I asked for the main pharmacist, they say he's busy and I look right behind her. He is counting pills not doing anything else.. I'm surprised this location has not been shut down to the amount of neglect of its patience. They will argue with you about your own medication. Tell you you're wrong lead you on a wild goose chase for an hour then when your doctor calls in to the pharmacy, they also talk to him like he's a complete piece of garbage. Took a covid test there, the rapid, on a Thursday afternoon. Results supposed to be in within 3 hours. Was traveling that weekend, need the results for travel on Sunday. Called on Friday, they said the email system was down, but not to worry, results should come in soon. Called Saturday morning, same thing, will reset and send results. Ended up scrambling last minute and having to pay for another test in New York to get the results I needed for Sunday. 2 calls, spoke to them, both times supposed to fix it, never did. Cost me and my wife $150 out of pocket. 20 years I have shopped at this store. Will NEVER step foot in there again. read more

Absolutely never answer the phone. The last 6 times that I've called over the past 3 weeks o have been on hold for over an hour before hanging up. They pickup and hit the hold button over and over again. Very difficult to get anything accomplished that way. read more
