Typically, prescriptions are ready within the same day I call or the following day. I use the drive thru for pickup and there is either no line or the line moves efficiently. My mother spent nearly half the day in the ER suffering from severe chest pains. The doctor urgently prescribed pain medication and called it in to this Walgreens location. In agonizing pain, she tried desperately to reach the pharmacy all afternoon--calling repeatedly and waiting on hold for hours--but no one ever answered the phone. When I finally got off work and rushed over, arriving right at 6:00 PM (their posted closing time), the pharmacy was already dark and completely shut down, as if they'd closed much earlier. I politely explained the critical situation--that my mother was at home in excruciating pain after chest pain serious enough to require an ER visit--and begged them to fill the prescription. The pharmacist, Joanne, gave me a cold, sour glare and snapped, "You'll have to come back tomorrow," with zero empathy or concern for a patient in medical distress. No apology, no attempt to help, no acknowledgment of the urgency--just dismissive, rude, and utterly heartless. This kind of cruel indifference when someone is suffering is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a healthcare professional. My mom had to endure unnecessary agony all night because of this. Have been coming to this location for prescriptions for the last 3 years and during all that time I can say it is got to be the ONE pharmacy in SC where the heroes that work there are all very knowledgeable and courteous, understanding and compassionate with every customer. Walgreens stores have always been my go-to for printing pictures and purchasing gift cards. I use their mobile app to order pictures and I get a notification when they are ready. It's super inexpensive. They will also reprint the pictures if you're not satisfied with how they turn out. They offer a nice selection of gift cards. They have a better variety than many other stores. The prices for other items--beauty products, household items, food, etc. are higher than Walmart. But you're paying for the convenience. It's always well lit and organized. It's easy to navigate around the store. The aisles are wide. read more

The Pharmacist working at the Trolley Road location on the evening of June 26 was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I have used this Pharmacy for 15 years now and never experienced such an issue. she did not even attempt to help me after I had been at the ER with my husband for 4 hours. We came straight there to try to get his meds. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes and a store employee asked if I needed help. I said I needed to get a med filled. she then came over and said they cut off at 8:30, it was 8:33 and I had been waiting since 8:25. she then told me she saw me come in and it was not. Really? if you saw me then you could of ack me. she was rude and condescending. I am a health care worker and this was unacceptable read more

There is usually only one person at check out and the line moves so slow. This Walgreens has really went downhill lately!! I had a 30 day refill that they fought me on and said I had to wait 31 days only to be closed on Sunday!! The pharmacy has been closed a lot lately so after this refill we will no longer be returning! I usually would never leave a bad review but at this point the pharmacy doesn't deserve a good review!! The Walgreens, Store #9998 is by far the best Walgreens in the world. I have been to the one in Walterboro and they were rude, incompetent and lazy! Awful place, I live in Cottageville but yet I go to this Walgreens (9998) on Dorchester for all my prescriptions. They are right on and very quick and very friendly. I must mention that there is a lady there by the name of Sabrina who is the bomb! She is over the top willing to help and knows her stuff. She is the reason this place runs so well!! Also the pharmacist, Steve, is wonderful. He's been my pharmacist for years. I will not go to any other Walgreens. THey just don't add up to this one. Even the ones I have been to in other states? This Walgreens is fabulous. They carry all the things that most Walgreens carry. What makes them fabulous is the staff. The folks in the front of the store are courteous and helpful. The pharmacy staff is exceptional. The techs are well trained and knowledgeable about insurance issues and will proactively use discount cards on behalf of customers to save us money. They treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their socioeconomic status. The pharmacist Steve is a caring knowledgeable compassionate man who is always available for a consultation or question. These guys do what they do because they care. read more
