I was lucky enough to snag one of their limited edition t shirts that mentions Qwik Stop on the back and the new Jadoon's logo on the front. It will be a Park Circle collectible for sure. So if I show up after a long day at work, drive like a maniac to get here before six, and find out that at 5:57pm the doors are already pulled down, and the staff do their stereotypical "I see you out there but I'm ignoring you because we are closed. Even though it's not time. ". Pay no mind to this medication that is keeping this man alive, and I guess I'm just stupid, I didn't realize that 5:57 is 6:00. Not only that, tho. A store employee was nice enough to yell from the front of the store "YEP! They closed at 6!!" As if I got there at 7:15 and demanded to get a prescription for my friends 85 y/o father. If you are closing at 5:55/5:56/5:57, then that is what you need to advertise as your closing time. I did my part, but the people who work at Walgreens dont give a Crap. They did not hold up their end of the time. I'm going to make it my sole mission to drive this store into the ground, and to make sure this makes it to someone who cares about their image, their word, their "compassion ". You can't stay open the last 3 min then open a movie theater not a God D*mn drug store. Just to recap - I arrived before closing, the script is ready, and these people closed before 6. I mean while yes that is a time that was after my arrival and they had me locked out already. So Gonna be a long weekend for my friends father and I hope he survives the weekend. Otherwise, we are all gonna be in court together, and you get to tell a group of jurors that you'd better pray use a different pharmacy. Hubby picked them up and a prescription was filled that I didn't request nor paid for. Isn't this a violation??!! I had to argue with a worker on the phone just so I could explain my dilemma. She insisted on overtalking me. I did not fill my Rosuvastatin nor did I pay for it (its a lot more expensive than my prescription). I don't want it.. I have a full bottle on my night stand.. I need my Naproxen, I just began walking unassisted yesterday after 19 weeks nwb with a Pilon Ankle Fracture. I have titanium plate and 10 long 5.5 inch screws. The swelling and pain is unbearable. I tried to reorder the Naproxen Sodium but the APP showed I wasn't eligible for a refill until 8/18, the last time ir was filled was 6/22. July was obviously skipped. We drove to the store to explain the situation, Gabby helped us. With Gabby's help, I was I was able to order my Naproxen Sodium.We trashed the Rosuvastatin since it's against the law to return prescriptions(Terrible waste of money and pills someone could benefit from.) I received a notification on the CVS app it's ready for pick up and it's billing me the same $15 I paid on August 3rd. GRRRRRR!! Can you imagine if the medication I needed was for a life threatening illness??!! Almost always an issue here. Time to transfer all of my business to another CVS. 6yrs of issues.

The roots of the pharmacy go back decades earlier. Dr. C.F. Schwettmann owned a drugstore in Charleston, but it was damaged by cannon fire during the Civil War. He set up a new drugstore in Summerville in 1864. In 1871, Guerin (a former Confederate soldier and graduate of the Medical College of South Carolina) purchased the pharmacy and Schwettmann returned to Charleston. After Guerin passed away, the pharmacy was taken over by his son Dr. Joseph C. Guerin. The younger Guerin's colleague Dr. Herbert F. Dunning later purchased the pharmacy. Since 2014, the owner of Guerin's Pharmacy has been Dunning's grand niece Barbara A. Dunning, RPh. My family and I visited Guerin's Pharmacy this past summer while we were visiting family in town. Our cousins told us to check out a really cool old pharmacy in Hutchinson Square. We had no idea that pharmacies like this still existed; we had only seen ones like this in the movies. In addition to a pharmacy, Guerin's also essentially doubles as a general store where customers can purchase souvenirs, postcards, books, t-shirts, etc. Guerin's is also home to a soda fountain, which were popular in drugstores during the first half of the 20th century but rarely seen today. Customers can get Blue Bell brand ice cream, milkshakes, malts, floats, fountain sodas, hotdogs (with or without chili), pickles, or a number of different treats from the candy counter. My wife and I shared a cup of "Mint Chocolate Chip" ice cream while our sons shared a cup of "Cookies 'n Cream". My wife also enjoyed a strawberry milkshake while I had a bottle of Cheerwine. It was so cool to step back in time at Guerin's Pharmacy! We'll definitely visit again on a future trip to Summerville.
